ABOUT US
Awards for Enterprise Technology Finalist
Beaulieu School prides itself as a truly inclusive school with a rich variety of students who’s individual needs are nurtured carefully. This helps us to enjoy excellent examination results and we add significant value to each student in our care. Over recent years we have led technological innovation within education which has helped us improve learning throughout the school. As the first and fastest Gigabit connected school in Europe our students and staff enjoy effortless connectivity at super fast speeds to help feed our students thirst for knowledge. We hope to move our learning model outside of the classroom and into the community by establishing a learning & Innovation Centre here at Beaulieu. This facility will be include high quality resources with latest innovations that open its doors to the public to close the digital divide between the digital haves and have nots.

Skills Development To close the digital divide on the island will require a carefully planned strategic approach. From room design to a well crafted programme of sessions the project needs to be self sufficient and well publicised. As a school we have technological expertise and are well versed in teaching & Learning. We have spent the last 8 years pushing the boundaries of technological innovation and are confident that we can build a successful learning centre that will be useful to all members of the island community.

PROJECT DETAIL
BEAULIEU IN THE COMMUNITY
Beaulieu has much of the infrastructure and skills required, but for this project to succeed we need to invest in a suite of good quality desktop computers. As the focus is to close the digital divide it will require devices that can simulate both a PC and an Apple world. This leaves no choice in the equipment needed. The bulk of the cost of this project will be focused on the purchase of Apple iMac computers. These devices can simulate both environments. We will then design a room to purpose fit these devices and an innovation room beside it that will contain the latest technologies from Virtual Reality to 360 degree cameras to demonstrate how new technology will be changing our lives in the near future.
8
PROJECT FEATURES & FUNDING
The full cost of the project is ÂŁ30,000, which as mentioned is primarily for the technology spend. Beaulieu is ideally looking for a 50% investment to realise the full potential of its aims. We would naturally offer branding opportunities and constant association in all media press releases and advertising. We believe Beaulieu has become synonymous with innovation and learning and we hope you will join us in making this audacious community based project a success.
