ANNUAL REPORT
THANK YOU FOR IMAGINING MORE
OUR MISSION Rosarian Academy, founded in 1925 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, is an independent, coeducational Catholic school based on the Dominican pillars of prayer, community, study, and service. We educate the whole person in light of the Gospel values and provide a foundation for life.

DEAR ROSARIAN COMMUNITY On behalf of Rosarian Academy, thank you for your generous support of our “Imagine More” Rosarian Fund Drive. This generous giving is a testament to you, our parents and benefactors, and our Rosarian community's spirit. Through your gifts to our school in 2022-2023, we provided support that benefits every current student and bridges the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating a Rosarian student. This annual giving report celebrates your generosity and reflects your commitment to enhancing the quality of a Rosarian education for the current year and years to come. For over 98 years, Rosarian has set the standard for excellence in Catholic education in Palm Beach County. Reflecting on the 2022-2023 academic year, Rosarian experienced growth and thrived in many areas. For the second consecutive year, Rosarian Academy experienced growth, with an enrollment of 421 students. All lower school teachers received training in the Orton Gillingham Reading Literacy to teach educators methods to enhance reading outcomes. Additional professional development efforts included STEM training to reinforce the Carnegie Science Center STEM Excellence Pathway partnership. Rosarian Academy expanded its robotics program to include a robust lower-school robotics team. The middle and lower school robotics teams competed in the First LEGO League. The middle school performed two plays, and our lower school thrilled the crowd in Aladdin Kids. Students competed in 13 interscholastic competitive sports with record numbers of participants. In keeping with our Dominican pillars, service opportunities increased. Students served the homeless through our relationships with The Lord’s Place and Dare 2 Care. Our National Junior Honor Society organized beach cleanups and gleaning opportunities. Graduates from the Class of 2023 received scholarships to attend American Heritage, the Pine School, and Cardinal Newman High School; others are attending Suncoast High School’s magnet program, ranked #70 in the nation, the Benjamin School, and Oxbridge Academy. Now, perhaps more than ever, high school admissions departments love accepting Rosarian graduates! Financial support allowed us to retain and recruit highly trained and qualified faculty and staff. Each gift received was a testament to the value of a Rosarian education and allowed us to continue to be a leader in Catholic and Independent school education. It is with utmost appreciation that we thank you again for supporting our “Imagine More” Annual Fund Drive and ensuring that the future of Rosarian Academy is bright. With Gratitude and Blessings,
Linda M. Trethewey, Ed.D. Head of School

THE ROSARIAN FUND Rosarian Academy, like many of the top independent schools, relies on tax-deductible donations rather than significant tuition increases to provide the best education possible. The total cost of educating a Rosarian student exceeds the cost of tuition. The Rosarian Fund helps bridge that gap and ensures that every student receives the Rosarian Experience beyond what can be provided by tuition alone. In doing so, you help to enhance the Rosarian Experience and allow us to “Imagine More” for our school and students – more STEM opportunities, more enriching arts activities and supplies, more athletics, and more of all the things that make Rosarian Academy “the school we love so well.” 1925 SOCIETY EVENT UNDERWRITERS Mr. & Mrs. Marcello Fiorentino, Marcello’s La Sirena Leadership Level: $20,000-$49,999 Anonymous Helen & Charles Schwab Dapeng Zhu & Nicole Liu Patron of RA Level: $10,000-$19,999 Ann-Britt & Christian Angle Anna & Dan Castro Mary & Mark Freitas Dee & Tommy Hilfiger Gretchen & Jay Jordan Margaret & Michael Picotte Stoops Family Foundation, Inc. FIVE QUESTIONS WITH GREG QUATTLEBAUM Q - When you first chose to enroll your children at Rosarian Academy, what was your experience as a new member of the community? A - That Montessori program that they had in the early school, in the early years, was just amazing. And it was a great entrée for the school. It was such a kind and inviting environment. And so, we started building our village, and there was just something so kind and sweet about whether it's the principals meeting us at drop-off, and it was just such a kind and loving place, and he enjoyed it. And so we just felt really connected. It was the feeling that we had as parents that made us stay. Q - What are some of the highlights over the years? A - Our conversation today started from our beginning, and I think of my bookmark. It says, “Finis Origine Pendet. The end depends upon the beginning.” And so, that formation, that foundation is so important in everybody's lives. It could be the child or the parent because they're both going through Rosarian Academy. As I look at the things that we were involved with, it comes down to the same feeling that I had when we chose the school. It was supportive. It was the people that made up this village.
As far as highlights ... I don't know that one was any more meaningful than the other. So cutting the ribbon or locking the door as you leave on a spaghetti night in 1993. It feels good. Q - When you look back on your decision to send your children to Rosarian, what made it the right choice? A - When I look back and see their decisions, I realize that I trusted in the process, and the process worked. I see the people that they’ve become, and that is a lot of years that they were here. Probably with pre-K, it could be 12 years. That developmental time where what they see consistently is goodness in this environment has built their foundation for life. Q - Rosarian was proud to honor your family as the honorary chairs of the 43rd Annual Auction & Ball. What did that night mean to you, especially the surprise speaker? A - When Greg Jr. got up, I had no idea what he was going to say, but his message was about planting trees under whose shade you’ll never sit. He saw the work that we were doing was for the people coming behind us, for the betterment of the institution. We weren’t doing things so my kid could play in something. We knew they would be long gone before this was realized. They learned so much about that. It was about laying that foundation for the generations to come. For him to get up and say that as a graduate to current parents, that’s part of not getting one “ah-ha” moment, but you need to have a lot of those before it starts to sink in about giving back. Q - Where do you envision the school going in the future? A - It’s a fact that the future of the school is in lay leadership. ... It’s the lay leadership’s responsibility now to “seek truth, make peace, and reverence life” and keep that torch of truth lit. Rosarian Academy is absolutely one of those institutions that enriches our community by the people it produces, and not just students, but the change in the parents. They’re just better, community-minded people who become more service-minded. We need Rosarian Academy in our community.

FAITH IN OUR FUTURE Due to our successful 2022-2023 year, Rosarian Academy acquired three properties as part of the fulfillment of a 25year strategic goal. With the preconstruction and expansion underway, the future of RA is bright! The acquired properties have a total cost of $5.77M and with the cost of construction, fundraising is at the forefront of our strategy. The expansion plan will allow us to provide education to over 480 students and allow our entire community to continue to imagine more. We look forward to providing our parents, grandparents, alumni, past parents, and friends with opportunities to be part of our bright future.
