Dear Rosarian Academy Community: You did something amazing! Through your support and gifts to our school in 2018-2019, you made an incredible difference in the lives of Rosarian Academy students. You invested in educational programs and experiences that allow students to be much more than just students, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. Catholic identity and mission continue to be at the forefront of all of our work—weaved into everything done in and out of the classroom each and every day. With the Adrian Dominican Sisters’ guidance and mentorship of Rosarian Academy, the Board of Directors and Administration, we propel our school into the future. Reflecting on the 2018-2019 academic year, Rosarian experienced growth in many areas: In tandem with our partnership with Carnegie Science Center as the first STEM Excellence Pathway Partner in Florida, we opened a newly constructed hands-on learning environment, the Freitas STEM Innovation Center. The STEM lab offers 1,840 square feet of cutting-edge space for students to think, create, design, and problem solve. All kindergarten-through-eighth-grade students attend a STEM class once per week, and STEM is infused into all areas of the curriculum at all grade levels. We continued our commitment to academic excellence and renovated the math and writing curriculum. The Sadlier-Oxford Math series was introduced to students in kindergarten-6th grade in order to further challenge our students and build the foundational skills necessary for math proficiency. With respect to writing, we designated a Writing and Literature Curriculum Coordinator who integrated the Empowering Writers program with literature, grammar and vocabulary. We began the initiative to resurface and reconfigure Rosarian’s outdoor playing field and space, including the purchase and installation of a new Lower School playground. A reconfigured outdoor space will significantly enhance our students’ overall enrichment, including endless hours of physical education classses, practices and outdoor activities while giving back some time to our parents who currently spend multiple hours a day driving their children to and from school sports practices off campus. The Performing Arts department literally soared to new heights. The Lower School presented Annie KIDS with a cast of 37 firstthrough-fourth graders, and the Middle School performed Mary Poppins Jr. in which five of the cast members actually flew on stage during the performance. We lived our faith by responding to the needs of our brothers and sisters. We led a community-wide effort to collect an estimated 4,480 lbs of supplies for our neighbors in North Florida who were affected by the devastation of Hurricane Michael. Rosarian Academy fosters a culture of shared responsibility and financial viability. Fundraising covers the additional expenses necessary to operate our school, above and beyond the revenue brought in through tuition and alternate sources, such as aftercare, after school programs, facility rentals, summer programs, and the Rosarian Academy Charitable Trust. Your support closes the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating students at Rosarian. This annual giving report is a declaration of the generosity of you, the Rosarian community. Through the financial support of parents, alumni parents, alumni, grandparents and friends of Rosarian, we are able to constantly improve our facilities and technology; retain highly trained and qualified faculty and staff; maintain small class sizes; offer an advanced, progressive and accelerated academic program; provide outstanding athletics and arts; increase co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Each gift received is a testament to the value of a Rosarian education. It is with utmost appreciation that we thank you, once again, for supporting Rosarian Academy and investing in a foundation for life. With sincere gratitude and blessings,
