Rosarian Academy, founded in 1925, is an independent, coeducational Catholic school sponsored by the Adrian Dominican Sisters. As a strong, family-centered community, Rosarian Academy’s administration, staff, faculty and parents have joined in creating an exceptional environment that excels in academics, faith, arts, athletics and service. Athletics at Rosarian Academy are an integral part of the educational experience. Students are empowered to develop characteristics of respect, responsibility, confidence, leadership and teamwork. The Rosarian Academy sports program aligns itself with the philosophy and mission of the school. Under the direction of dedicated coaches, students not only improve their performance but also actively learn to maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit. Rosarian Academy provides students with a variety of intramural and interscholastic athletic opportunities, such as basketball, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and tennis. The unsurpassed athletic facility includes a magnificent 17,000 square foot, full-sized gymnasium, the Garvy Gym, with locker rooms and a physical training room. Student athletes, as early as kindergarten, are prepared to achieve their greatest potential as gracious competitors, understanding how to embrace challenge, enjoy the process, win with humility and handle defeat with dignity. The sports program at Rosarian Academy is designed to teach students to value character first and lead them to become positive role models.

Fine Arts is an essential building block in the growth and development of students at Rosarian Academy. Gaining a cuttingedge and dynamic Fine Arts education, students stimulate their self-expression and confidence while learning to use their bodies, voices and imagination on a grand platform. Within a wide range of art, theatre and music classes, the highly experienced instructors of Rosarian Academy challenge students’ creative potential in a gentle and encouraging environment. Rosarian Academy believes in providing state-of-the-art facilities to fully support aspiring students and enhance all programmatic activities of the school. Rosarian Academy’s 485-person professional theatre is an iconic landmark for Palm Beach County and a stage for students to train and perform as professionals. The Picotte Center for Performing Arts, a multipurpose, three-story building, features visual and performing arts studios with the latest technology. At Rosarian Academy, every student is given the opportunity to discover new methods of communication and explore unique creative abilities.

Service epitomizes the spirit of the Rosarian Academy student body. Putting genuine thought and care into every contribution, Rosarian Academy lives out its faith in service to the community. From Early Childhood through eighth grade, students learn about the value of becoming a part of something bigger than themselves. Therefore, when they see a need, they are compelled to act. With every opportunity to engage in service, Rosarian Academy introduces students to their power to make a positive difference. The Early Childhood vegetable gardens promote sustaining and caring for earth, as the fresh produce help feed the poor in the Palm Beach County community. Eighthgrade students visit nursing homes and children’s centers as part of their religion class curriculum. School-wide service opportunities, which are open to families and friends, occur regularly throughout the school year. Through their actions, students realize that their own well being is strengthened by service to each other and the wider community.

Montessori Early Childhood Program Serving children up to five years old, Rosarian Academy’s Early Childhood program follows the Montessori philosophy of learning through all five senses. Students move at their own pace, as opposed to the traditional group pace. Under the guidance of Rosarian Academy’s highly trained Montessori-certified teachers, children choose concrete lessons according to their own abilities and interests. As a member of the American Montessori Society, the Early Childhood program nurtures the development of a strong sense of self-discipline, motivation, empathy and a love of learning.

The Lower School Serving students from kindergarten through fourth grade, Rosarian Academy’s Lower School is a place where hands-on, open-ended activities help to develop curiosity and problem-solving skills. Within small classes, instruction is carefully sequenced to encourage consolidation and cross-curricular connections, while incorporating diverse learning styles. Integrated lessons in Spanish, science, art, engineering and coding enrich the academic program. Traditional Dominican values of community, prayer, study, service, empathy and grace permeate our culture. In the Lower School, students reflect upon and explain their thought processes, as well as gain confidence in oral and written expression.

The Middle School Serving students from fifth grade through eighth grade, Rosarian Academy’s Middle School is dedicated to developing exemplary young citizens with superior academic preparation, moral and ethical decisionmaking capacities and a growth mindset. Through an engaging and challenging curriculum, the Middle School builds upon the solid foundation that began in the Lower School, accelerating intellectual, physical and social growth. Dedicated faculty provide students with an in-depth learning experience in religion, literature, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and Spanish. Exploratory and elective courses complement the program and provide a well-rounded education for students. Approximately two-thirds of seventh and eighth grade students are Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP) scholars. Rosarian students are accepted into the most desired day and boarding secondary schools and ultimately into the finest colleges and universities.
