He came to be a guest speaker to explain leadership to the Rosarian Academy community. Mr. Assainte has been coaching
Trinity College’s squash team for 30 years. He has won five gold medals in the Pan-American. He has won sixteen consecutive conference championships and 16 NCAA championships, which means that he never lost a game in those sixteen seasons.. Mr. Assante also won five gold medals as the United States squash coach in the Pan-American Games and even coached the men’s squash team in the world championship! Mr. Assainte’s views on various subjects are insightful. When asked how he had become such a successful coach he answered that his secret was “failing.” He also shared that while cell phones and social media were sometimes necessary, it is good to have a healthy balance. The most important thing this coach wanted us to know was, “The most important thing is to be a kind and gentle person.” Recruits came from all over the world to participate in Assiante’s squash team, creating a diverse environment and educating him and the little town in Connecticut. He helped them become the best versions of themselves they could be.
Rosarian Academy Students and Teachers Help Save Lives! By Kayla Ugarte
On Saturday, September 23, 2023, Rosarian Academy, fifth and sixth grade math teacher Mrs. Wallace, participated in the lifesaving St. Jude’s Walk/ Run.
8th Grader Caroline Mishke, Alumna Danielle Mishke
This event raises money for children with serious diseases like cancer, tumors, and cell diseases. St. Jude is a hospital that never turns anyone down for their inability to pay, so events like the St. Jude Walk/Run tremendously help their efforts.
When asked about how she started working with St. Jude, Mrs. Wallace states, “We used to do something called the Math-A-Thon and we became very involved in raising money for St. Jude. We had a student who went through Rosarian who was at St. Jude when he was four years old with leukemia, and his mother was very involved in the Math-A-Thon”. The St. Jude Math-A-Thon, while not involving actual exercise, is a good option for people who feel more inclined to exercise their minds than exercise their bodies. Mrs. Wallace, who has been at Rosarian for over twenty years tells us, “I’ve done the Math-A-Thon for about ten years. One year we raised almost ten thousand dollars doing the Math-A-Thon, and someone at St. Jude’s said that it would pay for the chemo for a day for one child, so they really rely on donations and people supporting them.” This is the first year that Rosarian has participated in the St. Jude Walk/Run, but we hope the Raiders will continue to support this worthy cause.

Business Development Enhances West Palm Beach By Bella Mann and Lily Rogers Many people love shopping no matter how old they are. People between the ages of 11 and 20, however, have very much agreed that some popular stores such as Lululemon, Sephora, and Roller Rabbit are fairly expensive considering what they sell. Isabella Signori, age 20, claimed that even though stores such as Zara have trendy clothing, some of it is not very well made, and people are often paying more for the trendiness than the quality of the clothing. Since the town has been focusing more on building office buildings than building retail stores, fewer new stores have opened in the community. On October 11, 2023, a source from the city of West Palm Beach’s Council shared that Frank Hayden donated a total of half a million dollars to 43 new businesses to help new openings in West Palm Beach.
Fall Sports Take the Lead By Daniel Coan and Eleanor Caron The Rosarian Academy Flag Football team played six games this year coming out with a record of 4-2.
