THE MIGHTY REMIX THE ROSE
FEBRUARY 7 12:30 PM
Spotlighting the birth and progression of Caribbean culture, #THEMIGHTYREMIX is about resilience through music and how enslaved and exploited people of West Africa and South and East Asia mixed their rhythms together in defiance of their colonizers. Caribbean genres such as Calypso, Chutney, Kaiso, Bomba, Reggae, and Hip-Hop represent roots and resistance. Performed by Joseph Khargie and the MATH THRU MUSIC team, this is a show that allows students plenty of opportunities to dance, cheer, and interact from their seats.

SHAUN BOOTHE & THE UNAUTHORIZED BIOGRAPHY
SERIES is a critically acclaimed musical project that celebrates the world’s greatest cultural icons through biographical rap songs – repackaging History through Hip-Hop. Half TED Talk, half live concert, Shaun uses music, multimedia, and motivation to deliver powerful and transformative messaging in a way that will truly resonate and inspire your students.
Comprised of some of the world’s best differently-abled dancers, ILL-ABILITIES is an International Breakdance Crew redefining society’s view of disability by empowering people to live life with limitless possibilities. Created in 2007 by Montreal-based dancer and motivational speaker, Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli, the dancers quickly realized their potential to inspire audience members with their positive attitudes and unique dance moves.
