PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: LEGACY SCHOOLS PROGRAM
The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF) Legacy Schools program is a free initiative to engage, empower, and connect educators to further reconciliation. All educators are encouraged to sign up to receive their first Legacy Schools toolkit, which contains copies of the Secret Path graphic novel, educational resources for use at home or in the classroom, a ReconciliACTION Guidebook, and other materials to ensure Indigenous perspectives are represented and celebrated in all places of learning and among all age groups. Legacy Schools resources are now being used in libraries, daycare centres, camps, clubs, and after-school programs.
Each educator will receive a booster kit with updated resources and new items at the beginning of every school year. They will also have access to free online resources and live engagements with Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists, scientists, authors, and more! Learn more and register to receive your toolkit at www.LegacySchools.ca.
