Focus on Interact in Nainital

Rotary Club of Nainital, RID 3110, inducted 30 new Interactors into the newly chartered Interact Club of St Mary’s Convent College, Nainital. The charter certificate of this club was handed over to the school principal Sister Manjusha CJ.

The club has so far started five new Interact clubs in Nainital. “Interact clubs bring together young people between ages 12–18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self . We are happy to offer a wonderful Rotary experience to these students,” says Babita Jain, club president.

The Interact clubs of Nainital and Bhartiya Shaheed Sainik Vidyalaya with the guidance of their mentor Poonam Sharma conducted three cleanliness drives and spread the message on cleanliness and hygiene, and the ill-effects of plastic bags.

The club has developed a Rotary Joggers Park, along with an open gym, at Kennedy Park, Nainital, which was inaugurated by DG Pawan Agarwal. Recently the club installed 30 benches at this park.
