NEW HEAT DETECTOR

Given the increase in the number of farms that implement the cover and release system, and in anticipation of the approval of new legislation that prohibits the use of cages after insemination, Rotecna launches an automatic heat detector. Detecting the heat of sows in time is vital to improving fertility, prolificacy and reducing unproductive days. Farmers invest a lot of time in breeding tasks, which must be performed several times a day to detect heat at the right time, and which are exceptionally complicated when sows are grouped in parks rather than in individual cages. Rotecna has developed a new electronic heat detector that solves this problem effectively, allowing detection and marking the sows that are ready to be inseminated at the right time reliably and automatically. 8

Rotecna’s new heat detector, which can supplement the electronic individual feeding system for pregnant sows in the Dositronic G group, consists of a stainless steel structure with an inspection window, an antenna that detects electronic ear tags and a marking system that singles out the animal inside.
