MERWE-VIERHAVENS Merwe-Vierhavens (M4H) is onderdeel van het Rotterdam Makers District en staat bekend om haar iconen: de fruitloodsen, de energiecentrale, Ferro Dome en de Vertrekhal. In dit gebied met het industriële karakter zijn o.a. AVL Mundo / Atelier Van Lieshout, de beurs OBJECT Rotterdam en de Keilewerf te bezoeken. The Merwe-Vierhavens area (a.k.a. M4H) is part of the Rotterdam Makers District and is known for its icons: the fruit warehouses, the power plant, Ferro Dome and the Departure Hall. De voormalige Van Nelle Fabriek geldt als het voornaamste industriële monument in Nederland en werd in juni 2014 door UNESCO uitgeroepen tot werelderfgoed. De fabriek werd gebouwd tussen 1927 en 1930 en is een schoolvoorbeeld van het Nieuwe Bouwen. De Van Nelle Fabriek is jaarlijks de locatie van kunstbeurs Art Rotterdam. The former Van Nelle Factory is regarded as the main industrial monument in the Netherlands and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2014. The factory was built between 1927 and 1930 and is a textbook example of the Modern Movement. The Van Nelle Factory is the home of Art Rotterdam every year. 38

Het Nederlands Fotomuseum is thuis op de Wilheminapier en het naastgelegen LP2 in Las Palmas is ook dit jaar locatie voor de beurs Haute Photographie. De Cruise Terminal Rotterdam huisvest Qade Solo Project en The New Current. Loop in enkele minuten de brug over naar Katendrecht voor Rotterdam Photo op het hippe Deliplein. The Kop van Zuid is the place to be for photography lovers. The Nederlands Fotomuseum is located on the Wilheminapier and the adjacent LP2 is also this year’s location for the Haute Photographie fair. ART ROTTERDAM WEEK Van 6 tot en met 10 februari 2019 is het Art Rotterdam Week! Met toonaangevende kunstbeurzen, speciale tentoonstellingen, installaties in de buitenruimte, avondopenstellingen in musea, open ateliers, pop-ups en rondleidingen door de hele stad. Tijdens Art Rotterdam Week rijden er gratis pendelbussen tussen de verschillende locaties zoals de Van Nelle Fabriek, het Vierhavensgebied, Museumpark en de Kop van Zuid. From 6 to 10 February 2019 Art Rotterdam Week takes place in Rotterdam, offering leading art fairs, special exhibitions, outdoor installations, evening openings at museums, open ateliers, pop-ups, and tours throughout the city. A free shuttle service connects participating locations like Van Nelle Fabriek, Vierhavensgebied, Museumpark and Kop van Zuid.
