I am currently a 4th year architecture student studying at the University of Oklahoma. "Architecture is basically a container of something. I hope they will enjoy not so much the teacup, but the tea." -Yoshio Taniguchi With that being said architecture has the ability to convey an emotion, tell a story, and give a sense of belonging to a community. It is the job of the architect to capture all the human emotions and experiences and mesh them together to create an experience that is timeless. Throughout my experience at the University of Oklahoma, I have strived to find that story to tell and that emotion to convey throughout all of my designs with ideas that challenge the social norm, but fit in to the community that we as architects build.

MIXED USE RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX IN DALLAS, TEXAS 4TH YEAR STUDIO FALL SEMESTER
Similarly to the distinct ridges in fingerprints that define individual identity, RIDGE maintains its unique character through a perforated facade. This design not only introduces a dynamic interplay of light but also guides movement and connectivity across its campus. Within the intricacies of the perforations and spread throughout the site, trees and indigenous greenery reclaim their place, fostering communal gatherings. RIDGE transcends the conventional role of supportive housing, morphing into a space of vibrant biophilic connections. Communal and retail spaces are strategically positioned to channel focus toward the environment, whether through the panoramic views from the jewel box's viewing deck or the sustenance derived from the neighborhood market sustained by the communal garden. All of these elements find support in a sustainably sourced mass timber structural system. RIDGE, in its essence, nurtures regrowth, revival, and regeneration within its residents and the broader community, steering Vickery Meadows towards a future defined by deep social connection and awareness throughout the neighborhood.

ON THE TIBER RIVER - ROME, ITALY 3RD YEAR STUDIO SPRING SEMESTER STUDY ABROAD PARTNER: HISHAAM RAMOLY
The ethos of the concept lies in its connection between the river, the historical site and the existing programs on Via Portuense. The strict geometrical condition is a reactionary articulation of the site offering a dynamic form to the modern building, enabling nooks for various programmatic needs. These nooks allow for functions of the street such as the market and circulation to bleed into the site. On the Tevere side the river banks extend both vertically and horizontally towards the site emphasizing the essence of connectivity between the musuem and its stakeholders. The building’s dynamic skin reacts to the sun and views created by the form to allow for interior and exterior synergy. The courtyard of the historical site now edged by the modern condition creates a centralized space which will flaunt gardens and subtle water elements, an auditory and visual connection to the Tevere. These coexisting spaces seek to act to ripple off each other to celebrate the time within patrimony.

OKLAMA LOUNGE ON LAKE THUNDERBIRD NORMAN, OKLAHOMA 3RD YEAR STUDIO FALL SEMESTER
Oklama: a saying from Native American terminology, within which okla means people; and ma, symbolizes an imprint when addressing someone. When the root words are combined, they become a way of addressing the people or 'my people.' The lounge aims to enhance a sense of community in an ever evolving landscape in the heart of oklahoma. Using key elements such as cutting the land and sinking the transition path, so that a visitor can directly be imbedded into the site allowing for an immersive and evolutionary experience. When paired with funneling forms one's views are directed to the calming panoramic views which allows for personal moments that can be experienced from the different planes that are created by the cutting planes of the lounge into the land. The personal and communal evolution of the lounge can be seen as a reflection of Lake Thunderbird as it too has evolved over time. By using the ideas of Oklama and the utilization of the natural evolution of the landscape, The Oklama Lounge is a union between structure and land with a new concept of experiential evolution for the enrichment of the surrounding community.

EQUESTRIAN CENTER EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY CENTER IN NORMAN, OKLAHOMA 2ND YEAR STUDIO FALL SEMESTER
BY USING EXTRUDED BARRIER WALLS, DIFFERENT SPACES ARE FORMED IN A LINEAR FLOW. THE LINEARITY OF THE SCHEMATIC DESIGN LEADS THE EYE OF THE PUBLIC TO THE SITES MAIN PURPOSE: EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY. THE LARGE RIDING AREA IS SET UP TO ALLOW THE NATURAL AIR TO FLOW THROUGH WITH THE ABILITY FOR THE RIDER TO GAZE UPON THE LAKE VIEWS EITHER IN A SHADED OR OPEN AREA. WHILE THERE IS A CLEAR SEPARATION BETWEEN THE HUMAN ASPECT AND THE HORSES, THEY ARE BRIDGED TOGETHER BY THE OPEN COURTYARD THAT HAS ANOTHER VIEW OF THE LAKE WITH OPEN SEATING. THE DESIGN ALLOWS EASY ACCESS TO EVERY POINT ON THE SITE DUE TO THE MULTIPLE ACCESS PATHS THAT FOLLOW THE LINEAR SITE PLAN.
