For over a decade, he served as Senior Vice President for Growth and Business Development for Tenet Healthcare and Vanguard Health Systems, and Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Inova Health System. His real estate and development experience includes governmental relations, public testimony preparation and marketing for Embrey Partners, K. Hovnanian, Miller & Smith, Centex, and others. Jeff is a former Deputy Chief of Staff and Press Secretary for Louisiana Governor Buddy Roemer. For more than 25 years, he was an award-winning newspaper journalist in Louisiana, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia. He has consulted with The Washington Post, The New York Times, USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, HGTV, La Nación (Costa Rica), La Nación (Buenos Aires), and many others.
CARLOS DE LEÓN Carlos de León has over a decade of experience in South Texas, where he has worked in public affairs, communications and economic development. Currently, he leads the San Antonio office of Romph Pou Agency. He has represented clients across multiple industries, including healthcare, finance, higher education, tech and real estate development. Before agency work, Carlos worked for a binational think-tank based in San Antonio focused on US-Mexico relations. He has also worked in higher education with the University of the Incarnate Word, including recently as a business adjunct faculty member for the School of Professional Studies. Carlos has served his community as Director of Community Engagement for Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Calvert. Carlos also serves on the Community Health Advisory Board for UT Health San Antonio’s Institute for Integration of Medicine and Science.
