Share Your Heart Ball

Dear Friends of Camp Rainbow Gold, It is with our hearts full of gratitude that we welcome you to the 13th Annual Share Your Heart Ball to benefit Camp Rainbow Gold. Thank you for taking the time to be with us here on this very special night as we gather together and support our critical year-round camps and services for Idaho children diagnosed with cancer. These incredible programs are free of charge to the children of Idaho and their families all due to the generosity of you, our beautiful donors. Each gift is such an important piece of this puzzle that allows us to reach more and more children battling the rigors of this horrible disease. Camp Rainbow Gold is hope…it’s fun…it’s a smile…it is a memory shared. Many believe it is as important as any other part of their treatment. We hope that you enjoy every minute of this magical evening. Your donations mean the world to us and hundreds of Idaho’s bravest children. So join us in reaching new heights tonight. Let’s do this! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Kris (Cronin) Nardecchia & Rob Cronin Co-Founders, Share Your Heart Ball to benefit Camp Rainbow Gold

“For all of us here, this is our happiest place on earth.” —Carlie, Camper & Volunteer

Message from Board President and Executive Director Dear Friends, It is with great excitement that we welcome you to the 13th Annual Share Your Heart Ball! We have worked hard to bring you an evening that will allow you to experience some of the magic that happens within our programs. We believe you will feel joy, share laughter, be a little silly and be surrounded by love – all the characteristics camp encompasses year round. We are made sustainable by our donors! During the past year Camp Rainbow Gold became an independent non-profit. We learned that we would be transitioning out from under the umbrella of the American Cancer Society, our parent company for thirty years. We are happy to share that we have opened a Ketchum office, moved into our new Boise office, added two new staff positions, maintained all of our programs, provided a safe camping experience and strengthened our foundation. We are made possible by our volunteers! Our ability to dream big is the very thing that will carry us forward into a dynamic future. We’ll continue to dream big. This year we have the opportunity to take a look at our programs and reaffirm that we are in line with our mission. We will assess the need for new programs and ensure that we are providing a quality and safe experience to the children and families we serve. We have already taken steps in that direction by starting a campaign to raise funds for a mobile pediatric medical trailer which will not only help us continue to provide a safe camp but also offer the opportunity to invite some of the more medically fragile children to join us at camp. We are made great by the spirit, courage and inspiration of our campers and families! Our success is often measured in laughter, finger painted pictures on our walls, thank you notes for paying college tuition, hugs and even tears. Despite knowing we support more than 400 Idaho families and utilize more than 500 volunteers, our favorite measure of success is hearing from those we have impacted directly such as Emily, a former camper and now a volunteer, who summed things up by saying, “Doctors healed my body. Camp Rainbow Gold saved my life!” Camp Rainbow Gold is “Made Strong by Love!” Thank you – it is because of your generosity that we will continue to support children in Idaho diagnosed with cancer and their families. Keep Shining,

Elizabeth Lizberg Tim Tyree Executive Director Board President

The Power of Art Sweet McKenna Randis was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age three and shortly before turning 13 she was sent to Boston to receive additional beam radiation therapy. Camp Rainbow Gold offers the campers many ways to safely communicate their emotions.
