The string section come to the fore in the passionate Serenade for Strings, but the centrepiece of the evening is Tchaikovsky’s exceptional Violin Concerto performed by South Korean virtuoso Yoon-Hee Kim (pictured). Excerpts from the enchanting Swan Lake, with its memorable melodies and spellbinding themes, complete the evening.
