4115. The Who (7 total) Signatures with The Byrds from Ready Steady

Go! Vintage autograph book, 5.25 x 4.25, signed inside in ballpoint on separate pages by The Who— “John Entwistle,” “Keith Moon,” who signs again on another page in red felt tip, “To Mary, Roger Daltrey,” and “Pete [Townshend].” The book also contains two cut ballpoint signatures of Daltrey, which were once affixed to adjacent pages. Other notable signatures include: Gene Clark, Michael Clarke, and Roger McGuinn, who signs as “Jim” and adds “Byrds”; Ray Davies of the Kinks; Rod Stewart, and more. The consignor notes that most of these autographs were obtained in 1965 while the artists were performing on the TV show, the Ready Steady Go! In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the son of the original recipient: “The picture was given to my mother…in 1975, whilst the band was in Portsmouth filming the movie Tommy. She was an extra in the film and appeared in many scenes including the Miss Lovely Legs competition at Bernie’s Holiday Camp filmed in Hilsea Lido Portsmouth, she was 3rd from the right. Program features ownership notations on a few pages. In very good to fine condition, with light handling wear. An extremely rare program considered one of the ‘holy grails’ of rock concert programs.
