9150. Bob Allison’s Game-Used Baseball Bat. Bob

Allison’s game-used circa 1964 Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger K55 personal model baseball bat, engraved on the barrel with his facsimile signature and also later signed above in black felt tip. The ash bat measures 36˝ long, weighs 31.5 ounces, and has the length and Allison’s number (“4”) written on the knob in black felt tip. It has partial cracks at the handle and barrel, and exhibits excellent signs of use including ball marks, stitch impressions, and cleat marks on the barrel. Accompanied by a letter of grading and authenticity from PSA/ DNA, grading it as “PSA/DNA GU 8.” Allison hit .287 and slugged 32 home runs for the Minnesota Twins in 1964, making his third and final All-Star appearance. 9151. Keith Hernandez’s Game-Used Baseball Bat.

Keith Hernandez’s game-used Rawlings Adirondack Big Stick 460B personal model baseball bat, used during the 1986 National League Championship Series (NLCS) between his New York Mets and the Houston Astros. The ash bat measures 34.25˝ long, weighs 31 ounces, and is engraved on the barrel with his name and team (“Keith Hernandez, New York Mets”), signed to the left in blue felt tip. His initials (“K.H.”) are also stamped into the knob, which has his number “17” written in black felt tip. The bat shows outstanding evidence of use, including a repaired handle crack, heavy coat of pine tar, and numerous ball and stitch marks on the barrel. Accompanied by a letter of grading and authenticity from PSA/DNA, grading it as “PSA/DNA GU 9.” The Mets’ star first baseman hit .269 in the 1986 NLCS, driving in three runs to help propel the Mets to the memorable 1986 World Series; there, his bat was largely silent until the game seven clincher, when he drove in three runs to lead the Mets to victory. 9152. Keith Hernandez’s Game-Used Baseball Bat. Keith Hernandez’s game-used circa 1976 Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger M110 personal model baseball bat, featuring the bicentennial brand (Liberty Bell with baseball bat and “1776–1976, National Pastime”) and his facsimile signature on the barrel; also signed later in black felt tip. The flame-burned ash bat measures 34.5˝ long, weighs 33.1 ounces, and has his number (“37”) written on the knob in black felt tip. It has a professionally repaired crack to the handle, and exhibits outstanding evidence of use with a heavy pine tar coating, many ball marks and stitch impressions, red bat rack streaks, and an impression from a weighted batting donut. Accompanied by a letter of grading and authenticity from PSA/DNA, grading it as “PSA/DNA GU 10.” Hernandez spent his first full season in the big leagues in 1976, hitting .289 with 7 homers for the St. Louis Cardinals.
