The RSA hopes that each of you had an amazing Summer and we are wishing you even more success and prosperity as we get into the last few months of 2017 – which in and of itself is hard to believe that this year is almost over! But not yet … Still quite a few things taking place over the next few months that are extremely important. We have our Fall Shareholders’ Meeting in New Orleans, LA next month from Oct 12 – 14, 2017 held at the Westin Canal Place Hotel, just around the corner from the SGIA Expo site. Lastly, we want to share our thoughts and condolences with all of those effected by fires, floods, and hurricanes throughout the past month. Our concerns and well-wishes are with you, your families, and your dedicated employees. Re~Prose MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: FRANZ REPROGRAPHICS... CONT’D part of our growth through the 80’s and early 90’s. Bruce & Patty Franz joined the business in 1983 and purchased the business in 1999. That was a big year for our business, we built a new 21,000 sq ft facility and rebranded the company to Franz Reprographics. Patty took over as President and Franz became certified as a DBE Woman owned business. The RSA was also a key part of our new business plan, we were very eager to learn more about best practices from the members within the RSA. Over the past 18 years we’ve added two more locations Rochester, MN and Sioux Falls, SD. The services we provide now have changed with technology and the industry expectations. Although we are still true to the AEC market, the RSA and its members have challenged us over the years to explore other business opportunities. These opportunities have included: ;; ;; ;; ;; ;;
Wide Format Equipment Sales Information/document Management Safety Apparel (“PPE”) Digital Displays Signs / Wall Graphics / Vehicle Graphics
Our Color Graphics department has become a vital part of the growth we’ve experienced in the past 5 years. We’ve had the opportunity to work with the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings on high profile projects to elevate our exposure in the graphics market. The addition of flatbed printing /cutting along with high quality digital presses gave us the ability to provide almost everything that any Marketing department would need. Our involvement in the RSA has given us an advantage and confidence to expand into different business services. The RSA is FAMILY to us and we’re eager to share what we’ve learned over the 30 years in this business.
“We encourage you to get involved in the RSA, you will receive more in return than you can imagine. Keep an eye out for our new logo and rebranding in the next couple of months. The RSA has taught us that we need to continue to re-invent ourselves to stay relevant in the market. Franz Reprographics would not be the company it is today without the RSA.” Bruce & Patty Franz

TYLER’S CORNER
It’s been an enlightening 15-months with the RSA... Our Executive Director is on a much-needed vacation this month, so Tyler Hardy will be taking over the corner! I’ll keep it brief this month RSA Members, or at least try. So, it’s been an enlightening 15-months with the RSA. I am about to attend my 3rd RSA Shareholders’ Meeting, this time in historic New Orleans – crazy how time flies. I’ve gotten to know so many of you over the past year and I am honored to get up, come to the office every day and work hard for each one of you! I’m excited about the state of the RSA Brand. The brand is so powerful thanks to foundational products like: RSA Superstore, PlanCommand, Global AXs, the Replicator systems and more. We, here at the RSA, have taken so many steps to really highlight the ability of the brand to act as a thought leader in the industry. We’ve recently developed our first tagline: “More than
Repro,” which signifies our organization as an entity that is more than the sum of its parts. Look forward to seeing more of this and many other things we are working on in the coming months.
