Do You Have These Constipation Symptoms?

Learn and discover some of the constipation symptoms that you will have when constipated. One obvious constipation symptom is that you have no bowel movements. When you eat food it should take a maximum of about 24 hours to travel through you. If you become constipated, the urge to have a bowel movement will stop. After a few days or a week, you will start to experience a host of different symptoms. You many have a distended stomach or your stools will be hard, short and do not float. Other constipation symptoms are: Difficulty passing stools –Normally when you sit to have a bowel movement, it takes only 4 or less minutes to have one. Having to strain to have a bowel movement is a major constipation symptom. Decreased frequency of bowel movements – When you have constipation, this is another major symptom. Once your stools are stuck in your colon, the colon gets tired of trying to move hard dried stools out of your body and just gives up if the stools don’t move. Tender stomach or bloating – If your stools stay in one place in your colon or are moving slowly through your colon then those areas where your stools reside, in your colon, become sensitive.

Little desire to eat – If you have stagnant stools in the colon, your body will protect you by not activating the desire to eat. Eating while constipated will cause more dry stools, bloating, and flatulence. Feeling out of sorts as though you are getting sick – When you are constipated, stools or fecal matter that stays in your colon too long and start to cause gas. Some of the gas comes out as flatulence and some of the gas moves through the colon walls spreading toxic matter into your blood stream. Stagnant stools in the colon are a source of poisons for your body, giving you a feeling “not feeling well”
There are few things that you should do so that you can get rid of your constipation and the constipation symptoms. If your stools are not moving and you have not had a bowel movement for a few days, the first thing you want to do is to have a bowel movement to get things moving again.
