Acknowledgements If it wasn’t for my teachers, I would’ve never put my thoughts and feelings down on paper. I am grateful for all my experiences, the good and the bad. Without my experiences, I wouldn’t understand or be as happy about who I am now. I would like to thank Mrs. Sullivan for helping me create this book. I would like to thank my father for giving me hard times and helping me realize that only I can deal with my problems. I would like to thank my mother for taking care of me and teaching me that good things will come out of bad things when given time. Lastly, I would like to thank my friends who help me forget the bad and remember the good.

Competitive In this part of the book, the author talks about her favorite sport, soccer, and taking extra time to get better. She talks about that she is not afraid to get dirty. She describes control and how in soccer, control is everything. This is a very interesting section and I hope you enjoy it.

Getting Dirty A time when getting dirty was a positive thing was when I played soccer. The coach told us that our wounds and muddy cleats tell us how hard and good we played. It indicated that when we got knocked down, we got back up. Most people say “No pain, No game.” And our coach was one of these people. She would look at our cleats and bruises and told whoever didn’t seem to work hard enough to be goalie. We would practice three times each week to prepare for our next battle.

It’s All About Control I’m good at soccer. It’s easy and fun to play. It’s just a group of people kicking and passing a ball into a goal. I am usually a forward because I run fast and can easily steal the ball from the other team. To be a forward, you need to run fast. You can practice running by jogging around a football field three times without stopping. It teaches you to keep pace. First, jog a lap without stopping. Then two. Then three. Once you learn to keep pace it also gives you the ability to control your breathing. Once you have learned to control your breathing, you will be able to run a mile as fast as you can without stopping. Also to play soccer, you need to know how to control your feet and how it hits the ball. Practice keeping the ball in the air without using your hands and arms. Learn balance, control, and timing and you’ll have complete control of your feet.

Getting Better A time when I had to work hard in the short term to help benefits in long term, is when I had to read an hour every day after school to help me get better at reading. Once I am better at reading it will even teach me new vocabulary skills as well as adventures that people in books lived through and told me. Reading better increases vocabulary, imagination, and writing. Knowing how to read better also helps when I am older and apply for a job or reading reports or something. Reading and writing are essential to becoming successful.

Part 2

Future and Past In this part of the book, the author tells about her future and what she wishes to become and why. Then, the author tells about her past and how’s she has moved a lot in the past few years. Finally, she describes a man who hurt her a long time ago. But if it wasn’t for that man she wouldn’t know as much as she does now. This is a very serious part of the book and I hope you enjoy it.

I Want to be a Hero When I get out of college I would like to become a social worker. I know it sounds lame, but it’s not. I want to help people, kids, and families live good lives without distraction or grief. I decided that I wanted to help people with family problems since almost every problem possible has happened to me and my family. I don’t want people to feel the way I did. I want to show them that they are never alone and that I can help them. Even though I can help them, the problems will never be fully solved until they learn to handle things themselves too. I read a book about an abused little boy and how the social worker saved his life. I would love to be like that woman and save someone’s life from being cruelly treated by their families.

My Home In three years, I’ve been to Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. I was born and raised in Kansas and it is my home. Kansas is a poor state though. There is not much going for you in a life in Kansas. Oklahoma was mostly pretty modern. Home of the red dirt. In Yukon, which is where I lived in Oklahoma, still has a very small part of route 66. In Arkansas, where I live now, I’ve learned all kinds of things. I’ve met all kinds of people too. Most people in Arkansas are small-towncountry folk. I just love the plateaus and mountains in Arkansas. In Kansas and Oklahoma you’d be lucky to find a hill. Missouri is a lot like Arkansas, filled with great landscape. When I first moved to Arkansas, I lived in a small town named Pea Ridge. The first thing I had seen when we were on Main Street was that a twin mattress had fallen out of the back of a truck. Everyone on the road had came out of their cars and helped retrieve the mattress and get it back in the truck. That’s when I knew Arkansas was a great place to be.

Who is He? He is a giving man to those who steal. He is a thief to those who work hard. He is a kid looking for love. He is a man living in hate. He is a best friend to those who care less. He is a enemy to those who seek a friend. He is a holy man to men of evil. He is an evil conscience to a man of god. He is a prince charming to females who bare pups. He is a dog to a woman blind by love. He is a killer to a coward. He is a coward to a killer. He is a son who never lies. He is a dad who never tries.

Part 3

Adventurous In this part of the book, the author talks about some adventures Including spies, guns, and even babies. She describes her imaginative and adventurous side through these stories and I hope you enjoy them.

Hidden I always wondered what it would be like to be a teenage spy. I would have to learn to fight, speak a hundred different languages, crack codes, and how to stay hidden. I wonder if there are such things as spies and how to contact them. How can a person become a spy? How do they apply? Can they tell their own family? What would happen if a spy fell in love with a non-spy, or maybe an enemy spy? Spies always interested me because they are no scientists but they know more about what, when, why, where, and who than most scientists do.

Guns and Roses Something that would grab a reader’s attention would be excitement or thrillers like.. A little girl is kidnapped and is raised by a criminal. She ends up learning to use guns, learns to make bombs, learns to steal and lie, and learn how to stay hidden from the police. Her dad (or the criminal) gets shot and killed by the police and before he dies he tells her where to find her real father. She goes half way across the country to find them while hiding from the police.

Special Delivery A pregnant lady who was behind me started to scream. She was alone. No husband or mom or dad. I went to her as fast as I could and asked her what was wrong. The train started shifting and bouncing as it was taking off. I called for help but no one answered, they all just stared in silence. The lady was going into labor and no one had a clue what to do. I let her squeeze my hand to help her feel better, but she nearly broke my hand. Apparently, someone got ahold of the train driver and he stopped at the next train stop and a doctor and two nurses got on. They came in, took her to the back of the train, prepped her, and began to deliver.
