The Best Day
I couldn’t ask for a better day. Here I was cheering on my character. What better way can you spend an afternoon. Playing video games with my big brother. The score was nine to nine, a perfect tie. Only ten points needed to win and thirty seconds left on the clock. I did my best combo moves and with only ten seconds left on the clock. I saw my brother’s characters health going down and down, suddenly KO! I had won the game.
Memorable Moment A memorable moment that I’ve had this year was when I met my best friend. She cam up to me in the hall sometime during the first week of school. I was standing all alone by my locker. When she waked up to me and introduced herself and asked for my name, then she left. Later on we noticed that we rode the same bus and she asked me to sit with her and we talked the entire time. We kept sitting by each other every day and we eventually became best friends. We’ve been through a lot together but she’s always stayed by my side. We know everything about each other and I don’t know what I’d do without her. I’m proud to call her my best friend.
Getting Dirty A time when getting dirty was a positive thing was when my friends and I got to cheer at our first football game. It rained really hard. My friends and I ran back in forth trying to find where all the other cheerleaders went. By the time we had found all the other cheerleaders our white cheer shoes were covered in mud and our uniforms were soaking wet. Even though the game got canceled it was still the best game that my friends and I ever got to cheer at the entire season
Party Time A time when my time management skills were on display was when my best friend and I were trying to set everything up for her annual Halloween party. It was just hours before it started. We had to make a quick schedule to let us know what time each task had to be finished by if we wanted to make it in time. It was tough to keep on track we made it just in time, right before the guests started arriving.
The Best Years Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grade have been some of the best years of my life. I’ve moved to different places, meet so many people and made so many amazing friends. I’m definitely going to miss middle school. Even though I’ve changed so much over the years a part of me will always remain the same. No matter what I’ll always be a middle school student at heart.
Creative Thus second section is about the creative side of my mind. I’m always coming up with the weirdest stories and ideas; sometimes even the strangest conversations. Sometimes the
stories are even a little dark and creepy. It seems like I can always think of the strangest things. My mind is not a place you would exactly want to be.
Elisabeth in Wonderland Today was probably one of the worst days of my entire life. It’s just bad news after bad news. I’m so upset I feel sick to my stomach like I’m about to puke. I just need some way to escape all this. I grab my iPod, headphones, sketchbook and my pencils. On my way out of the house I slam the door so everybody knows I want to be left alone. It’s not like anyone cares enough to check on me anyway but hey I might as well. As I walk outside and I head to the woods. Maybe I’ll find a good place to isolate myself and get away from all of this. As I’m walking I see this stray cat and I start to follow it, curious to where it might lead me. All of a sudden the cat just disappears into a hole in the ground. I walk towards the hole where the cat went. I bend down to see if I can see the cat but as soon I bend down to look I fall almost instantaneously into the hole. It felt as if I had been pushed. I’m falling deeper and deeper into this hole; it feels like I’ve been falling forever. After what seems like days-but is merely minutes-I finally hit the ground with a breathtaking thud. When I catch my breath I try to stand up but end up tumbling backwards. I hit my head on something hard. I turn my head to see what it was. Behind me was a table with a single cupcake on top. There’s a tag attached that says “eat me.”
The Train That Changed My life I didn’t know exactly where the train was going. After paying my fare, I simply stood on the platform waiting for it to whisk me away to somewhere anywhere but here. And that’s when it happened. The train started going at an unimaginable speed. I sw ore that I must be dreaming. Moments later I realized what’s going on. I was on platform 9 ¾ on my way to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I begin to panic, telling myself that this can’t be happening. My inner nerd is jumping with joy, all my dreams are coming true. With a sudden jerk the train comes to a stop and I go flying forwards. Probably should have been sitting down. As I stand back up I look out the window and am overjoyed at what I see. I step out of the train I am greeted by the head master. He welcomes me to the school and explains why I’m here. . says they’ve been watching over me since a young age. They’ve noticed that I contain great and powerful magic. Stronger then anything they’ve ever seen before. He tells me that they’d be greatly honored to have me attend Hogwarts. Without a second thought I accept his offer to attend the school of my dreams. After I accept his offer he leads me into the head masters office to discuss my classes. He tells me that ill be taking all the advanced classes and studies. I’ve just started and I’m taking classes that some of the fourth year students aren’t even taking He gives me a map of the school and shows me where my classes are located. Lastly, he shows me where my dorm is at. He hands me a spare set of keys and he unlocks the door. TO BE CONTINUED…..
The Crash
When I woke up I heard loud screams, shrieks of terror. I looked around the plane and noticed that everybody was in a state of panic. The pilots voice came through the loud speaker, “Attention all passengers, we are experiencing difficulties with the plane, please fasten your seatbelts and follow our emergency instructions you received earlier.” I did as I was instructed and I tried to stay calm. All was well until I realized that I couldn’t
find my seatbelt anywhere and I went into a state of panic. The plane started spiraling down quicker than ever before. I covered my head with my arms and hoped for the best. It seems as if I was waiting forever but that feeling disappeared when the plane came crashing into the ground. My entire body slung forward and my head collided with the window next to my seat. That is the last thing I remember before I blacked out. TO BE CONTINUED…..
The Ruler If I was the ruler of my own island I would require that my citizens follow require
certain rules. You would be required to attend school 3 days a week and you would be allowed to choose which days you attend. Children under the age of thirteen had to be inside by ten o’clock pm. At the end of every month there would be a huge party. There would be other basic laws such as no murder and other common rules that we have in today’s society. My island would be a place of fun.
The Island I wake up in an unfamiliar place, some place that I’ve never seen before. I look
around and realize that I’m on an island. I stand up and I see someone else sleeping very close to where I was. I try to remember how I got here but I just can’t seem to recall it. The last thing I remember was being on this huge ship with a bunch of my friends. Somebody was throwing a colossal party; there were at least a hundred people that attend. I walk over to the person who’s sleeping and make an attempt to w ake them up. I need to found out if they know how we got here. I reach down about to touch his shoulder to see if I could shake him awake but suddenly he jolts up. Startled by this I stumble backwards
and fall onto the warm grainy sand. He turns towards me and opens his eyes. His eyes are pyre black; the color of a midnight sky, not an ounce of color, not even white. TO BE CONTINUED……..
Logic
This last section of stories is about my more logical and intellectual side. Even though most of the thoughts that cross my mind are a little bit crazy I can still think of some pretty smart and compelling arguments as well as some pretty good points and opinions.
Groups
Some people in today’s society have selected a certain group of friends. Most groups are based of social status, looks, opinions, personality, interests, academic ability or even race or sexual preference. Most groups only except people into their groups if they believe that that person will live up to that certain standard or quality that they’re looking for in a friend.
Standing Up Suppose that everyone around you was thinking one way; the opposite of how you
were thinking. Would you still stand up for what you believe in? I know that I would. No matter how many people are against you, you should stand up for what you believe in. Even if its you vs. the world. Stand up for what you believe in, don’t be afraid to express your opinions and beliefs. Just be ready to be criticized. But no matter what support what you believe in and don’t let anybody tell you you’re wrong.
Logic vs. Emotion
How can logical and emotional thought work together? Do you really think that you can rely on one way to develop a solution to a problem? When it comes to developing a solution I believe you should rely on both thought processes. Sometimes when you start t o overthink and you get overwhelmed with decisions its best to go with your emotional
reaction and thoughts. Maybe you might even try to use your emotion thought process for a decision and get torn between two things, whatever the case may be. At that poin t its best to use your logic and think things through using your logical thought process. In my opinion you can’t just rely on one thought process to think things through. You’ve got to use both to get the best solution to your problem.
Travels When I travel I always learn about the different cultures. I learn about the music
that is most commonly listened to in that area, I learn about the different dialogue and “lingo that people use and you get to see how people from that area dress and present
themselves. You can learn about the different cultures in that area by going to the most populated city and observing how the people of that area speak, dress, and how they present themselves.
