Acknowledgements My family has been a huge inspiration for many of these pieces. I would like to thank them for having such a great impact on me, and making this anthology possible. I would also like to thank Miss Sullivan for having me write these pieces, and for helping my writing become better and more interesting. The last person that I would like to thank would be sierra riley. She has been my dance instructor for over six years, she has influenced me in so many great ways. I believe that if sierra was not brought into my life, I would not be the person I am today. Thank you to all of these amazing people, I am truly thankful to be blessed with each and every one of them.

Section 1: Family This section is about my family, the things we do together, and what a blessing they are in my life. I have always been extremely close with my family, I know they will always be there when I need them. They can always lift me up when I am feeling down. There are so many memories that I have made with these beautiful people. I truly love my family, and I trust them with my life. They are amazing.

Thanksgiving thankfulness
I am thankful to have a roof over my head and water to drink, I am thankful that I have wonderful family and friends that are always there for me when I need them. I am also thankful for the great education that is provided for me, which helps with so many other things in my life. I am especially thankful that I got to spend my thanksgiving with my loving family.

Weekend Blast
Last weekend was very memorable for me, there were many things that contributed to make it a great weekend. On Friday night I spent the night with one of my close friends that I hadn’t seen in quite some time, and we had a great time, we made brownies, and a wonderful dinner, and in the morning we went out to check cows. On Saturday my little sister had her birthday party, there was a scavenger hunt, presents, and dip and dots, I believe that my sister had a great time, and I did too. Saturday night I got to spend the night with my dad, we watched movies and ate junk food along with two of my younger sisters. Last but not least, Sunday afternoon I watched my little sister (the birthday girl) open her big present…A moped. I’m not so sure this was the best present for her, since she is 12 years old and full of energy. Although it may not have been the best choice, I know she was very grateful for her brand new red moped, and the fun filled birthday party she was given. This was a very memorable weekend for me, and my family.

God’s gift
Today I am just going to thank god for all the wonderful things he has filled my life with! Well here it goes, thank you heavenly father for my wonderful loving family, the roof over my head, and the water that we drink. Thank you for giving me the gift of life, and also the rest of my family and friends. There are many many things that I have to be thankful for, too many to count. God, I just want you to know that I am thankful for each and every joy that you have put into my life. Thank you for always being there for me, and I know you always will be. Thank you! Thank you for everything.

Down and Dirty
When I go mudding with my family, we get very dirty, and we enjoy it. We enjoy getting muddy and dirty. We go mudding in my dad’s jeep, and we take all of the doors of for maximum muddiness. Going mudding is something that I like to do with my family, it’s a good time for us to bond, there for getting dirty is a good thing-well at least in this scenario it is-!!

Mutt Madness I have 3 dogs, my dogs are very well behaved, I love my dogs like family. The dog that my family and I have had the longest is Lily, she is 12 years old. Lily is a blue Healer, she is probably the sweetest of my 3 dogs, and she is also very, very fat. The dog that we have had the second longest is Oscar, he is 2 years old. Oscar is a Golden Retriever, he is one very happy dog, he gets really excited when he sees, well anyone that is willing to give him attention. We recently got a new pupp y, Lucy,, she is about 7 months old. Lucy is a mix between a Jack Russell and a Beagle, she is very well behaved, and she is just as sweet as can be, I would not trade anything in the world for these precious dogs. They are my family.

Section 2: Responsibilities and Feelings Responsibilities are different for everyone, everyone sees what they are responsible for a different way. I have put my thoughts on responsibilities, and the way I feel about issues such as bullying, social groups........etcetera. My beliefs are probably worlds different from others, but this is the Way i feel, and it’s not going to change. My feelings are mine, and I do not intend for them to influence anyone else. I believe all people should be treated equally and fairly, and no one should be judged by their past.
Pg. 8
Parents Duties
Parents have many responsibilities for their children, and those responsibilities change as the child
grow and gets older. One of the many responsibilities is to make sure that their child is never in danger, to put limits on the places they can go and the people they can see. They also need to
make sure that they are eating or being fed, making sure they are healthy with their food choices,
and the way they eat. Another thing the parents are responsible for is to get a job or some source
of making money, so that they have ability to buy food, pay rent and bills, and any other necessities that come with a price. One last thing that I believe the parents should be responsible for I making
sure that their children get a good education, making sure they go to school, do their homework,
and do their best. These are some of the many things that I believe parents should be responsible
for.

Sticks and Stones
They say sticks and stone may break your bones, but words will never hurt you. Words are one of
the most powerful weapons. There is a huge problem with verbal abuse today, many people will take works and make them so they will hurt the person being spoken to. Being bullied is like
drowning, there is only a certain amount of time you can hold your breath until you’re gone. With
bullying there is only so much that a person can take until they are beaten down so much, that
every part of them that use to be, is gone. Bullying is wrong, it is wrong and should not be tolerated, and it will not be tolerated.
Pg. 10
Suspicion can conquer
Most of the times when we suspect someone of doing something wrong we act out of fear for our
own safety because there is always a chance that what that person is being accused of is true. We
say they are innocent until proven guilty, which mean they should be treated innocent, right? Well, wrong. We are so concerned about our own safety, that we might treat an innocent person,
who has done nothing wrong, like a piece of trash. This is just human nature, there is no way over
it, and no way around it.
Pg. 11
Social Groups
People choose to join a group because it helps you to learn to socialize with all types of people.
You also have to work with people you don’t necessarily like, and that helps you with your future
because, when you get a job you will most likely have to work with people, well that you just don’t like. Some groups also help the community stay clean and healthy, so some people my just want
to give back to the community and help people out. I think that social groups are great, and they
help in many ways.

Letter to a Friend
Dear friend,
So I hear that you would like to make it on to the competitive dance team and as you know I am a dancer, and would like to give you some tips and information. First of all you must practice regularly, and attend classes -especially Ballet- to keep your skill up. Private lessons are also a big help, and for me, just listening to music helps, in the car and around the house, it helps me to get a feel for the beat. Tap your toes, point your feet, twirl around and feel the beat, leap and turn, jump repeat, do these things and you can’t be beat. Practice is the key, so if you really put you mind to it, and try your best, you will be sure to succeed! Your Friend. Joulia

Spring Break
For me, Spring Break provides a break from having to stress about my homework, grades, drama, etc.... We all need a break from, well, learning all together. Our brains can only take so much, and sometimes it needs a break before you try and jam more stuff in. I believe that the information my even soak in more over the break.
There is also that break from
having to wake up early, it’s really not fun for anyone, and sleep is good for your brain, so maybe you are even smarter when you come back from the break then before! Spring Break is much needed, and all of the students appreciate the break. Especially me.
Pg. 15
Reaching the Goal
There are dance tryouts every year. They last form about ten in the morning to about three in the afternoon. This is something that I have had to work really hard for. I had to practice on my technique every day, and just work really hard. These dance tryouts determine whether or not you will be on the competition team for that year. You always have to try your hardest at these tryouts, because there are no do overs and no excuses, but working hart at these tryouts does pay off, because making it through the tryouts means that there is a whole year of competing ahead of you. This is one of the times that I have had to focus and work hard in the short term to succeed in the long run.
Pg. 16
My Rules
If I were stranded on an island with a group of people, and I were the leader, the rules I would require them to follow would be; you have to work together and help each other out, with finding food, supplies, etc.‌.. Everyone would have to stick together at all items, so no one person will ever be by themselves, and if someone was injured we would all be there to help. Also there would be no arguing or fighting that might cause people to be torn against each other, and lower the chances of surviving. We would also ration the food into equal amounts so no one person would have more than the other.
Pg. 17
Traveling
I have traveled to a couple of different places, one of which is Florida. I met some pretty interesting people there, I met these two men that owned a deep sea fishing company. These two men brought me and my father out on a boat to go deep sea fishing, and they were really nice and extremely laid back. When I went to Florida I learned that it is a very laid back state, a lot of the stores don’t even make you put shoes on to go in, and a lot of them no shirt either. This is also a very beautiful state filled with beaches and palm trees, it was a really great experience gong to Florida. If you would like to learn about other people, I would say visit as many different places as possible, and try some of the stuff they do that is popular in the area they live in. Maybe you could go on a tour around that area to help you learn about it, or just drive yourself around that area. You can also socialize with some of those people, ask them questions and just get to know them.

Jou rney
As I move to the mu sic I feel as if I’m floating. Floating, flying, leaping, and tu rning, all thou ghts leave my head. Heading for fame, heading for the big time, her I go on my exciting jou rney. Jou rney, all the events leading u p to my big moment.
This is my life, and I’m going to make the most of it. “It factor” that’s what they say you have before they accept you in an au dition. Au dition, everyone says you have to be perfect to get accepted, bu t no one’s perfect. Perfect, perfect means you have no flaw, everyone has flaws so they can’t be perfect, bu t with some practice you can get darn close.
Ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical dance. Dance. Dance is my life. Life wou ld be boring withou t it.
