Part One
All About Me My inspiration for this section was the class assignments, also my personality. One asked me where I’d like to live and I said Ancient Greece. This section of my anthology covers different thing about me and what I like.

Trouble in English Once in fourth grade I was so behind on reading that the school was going to hold me back. I had to work really hard for one short semester to be able to not flunk the grade. But I passed after many days of determination and studying. Now I’m in the right grade and for a bonus in Pre-Ap. Those nine weeks gave me an opportunity to go to the right grade and be my best at it.

Rules, Rules, Rules
The purpose of rules is to keep things in order. Rules help people understand what’s wrong and right. Rules like no murder help society. No drinking helps save lives. Rules like, we have to go to school are good because we all need to get an education. My life would probaly not be that good if there were no rules. Because I tend to follow what other people do, so I’d probaly end up murdering someone like my cousin did, you know?

My Skill
My skill is trumpet playing. What you have to do to get really good like me is, practice every free minute. Practices chop builders. You have to challenge yourself. Get a piece of music that you think that would be way too difficult, and then work it out to perfection. You have to compete. In band, you have to find a person to compete against. Beat that person, and then find another. If you have any questions, ask your director. Get into a group with other instruments. Opposites usually. If you’re a brass get in a group with woodwinds. It helps you get feedback. Remember, practice, practice, and practice. Never give up. You never know until you try. So push yourself to do great things.

Follow the Leader
I would not go with the crowd. The reason is that maybe if I state my opinion then give enough facts, then people might start agreeing with me and change their opinion.

Hey! Change! Who, me?
I would probably represent change. Change in a mood or attitude. I could be a bad change or a good one. Mine would generally be difference. Maybe different outlooks on life. A changed opinion maybe. Just change that makes a difference. Like in a book, I would give ideas for change. Like if people were civilized, I would make them turn savage, or savage into civilized.

Dream Place
I’d like to live in the time of Ancient Greece because back then there were a lot of great philosophers and brilliant poets and scientists. There, I would probably study and learn some great things and create Greek myths. I have selected this time because I would like to expand my learning farther

Assignments
My inspiration for this topic was also class assignments. They are all based off of sections we have done in class. A couple has been from past experiences. In example, Katrina was one of my experiences but it was also a class assignment.

The Verdict
“Hands for guilty.” Eleven people in that small room raise their hands. The one person that didn’t got some glares. “Why do you think he is innocent?” asked one of the jurors. “Something just doesn’t add up.” Jon Smith replied. “Oh really?” Shouted a juror clearly annoyed. “Just raise your hand so we can get this over with.” Another said. But how could the poor man be guilty when he had been with his kids? There is the proof that nobody would listen too. “He had been with his kids! He wouldn’t be able to murder his ex-wife! The kids talked! They clearly stated that they had been with him all night.” “Bu the blood type. It’s a match!” One juror stated. “Yeah, to fifty other men in this area!” “We cannot figure this out. We need to call a mistrial and have somebody else take over.” “Agreed.” Everybody said. As Jon was driving home he thought to himself, that man was innocent!

An Ugly End
Sally lived with an old woman. Sally was hired by the women’s’ kids as her caretaker. Sally loved the old woman, just one thing bothered her. The old women had Alzheimer disease. They would be talking one moment, and then the next the old woman would be confused and not know what was going on. That angered Sally deeply. Every night Sally would tuck the old woman in bed and after she was fast asleep, stand there, watching her, that annoying old woman sleep. One night Sally had to get a drink. As Sally passed by the old women’s room, she saw that the hag was awake. The old woman looked at her tiredly. In a sudden fit of rage Sally suffocated the old woman till death. Sally buried the old woman under the floor boards, under the bed. Sally lay down, exhausted. The house was completely silent. A dead body was found at old lady Sam’s’ residence. It appeared to have been her caretaker, Sally Hughes. Police reports say, her death was not an accident, it was suicide. The police found a note written by Sally herself saying, ‘She would not shut up.’ Police are dumbfounded, but working hard on this mysterious case.

Go Ducks!
I could not have asked for a better day. Here I was cheering for the Oregon Ducks football team. My hometown team was just out, Oregonians cheering them on. Meanwhile, the Florida came out to boos and catcalls. The score board said 0/0; this is going to be a great game. The Gators won the coin toss. The QB snapped the ball towards the receiver. As he stretched to catch the pig skin, a Duck tackled him to the ground. As the game progressed, the score ended up being 59/0, with four seconds left. Oregon had won again.

Katrina
As the waves crashed on the shore people ran. As the wind howled, trees were falling. They all knew it would come. They didn’t know how bad it was going to be. Hurricane Katrina was at their doorstep and was definitely knocking. Traffic lights littered the empty streets. Wait there was one thing, a cat carefully picking its’ way through the debris, finding its way back home. The raging storm wasn’t over yet. It was the eye that has calmed down this monster of a storm. This was only the beginning.

Part Three
Imagination
My inspiration that come towards this was my love of cats, also from my friends that I dedicated this to. My imagination was allowed to run wild, so I was able to write these silly but fun stories. Fresh out of my imagination, I give you part three of Anthology of a Teenage Girl.

Life of a Cat
Once upon a time, where were two kittens. Their names were Spalding and Sophie. Their mother told them they could play, but avoid the humans. As Spalding and Sophie walked towards the forest, Spalding said “I want to know what humans are like. They seem so fascinating!” “Humph,” Sophie said, “I have to agree with you.” So they turned around and walked to the human homes. At first they looked through the fences. There was a fat human with a hairy stomach lounging on a plastic contraption. It let out a huge belch and they continued on in disgust. The next there was a small yapping dog. Sophie hissed at it and ran away “This is so boring! Catching mice is more exciting than this!” Spalding said. “Once again, I agree with you.” They meandered back home. On their way, they heard a deep rumbling sound. It got louder and closer until they could see the source of the noise. It was what the humans call a car. It passed by them in a flurry of leaves and trash. “Let’s go home please.” “I agree with you, again today.”

Hot Dog Stand
“So as I walked out the door, did you know I built that door? Anyhow, as I walked out the door I saw the meteorite fall,” Said Jim. “Very interesting,” Tami replied, “Not she whispered under her breath. “But the sad part about the dream was that it fell in the hot dog stand on thirty-first.” “Oh my, I can’t believe it,” she cried in mockery. “Completely, me either!” He yelled. “That stand is my life. I always get my food there, breakfast lunch and dinner.” Jim looked at his watch. “Oh, time to go to work!” “Okay bye!” Tami said after him. Gosh, does he ever shut up?

The Cat Who Believed He Could Fly
One day Kat had an idea, Kat wanted to fly, to touch the sky. That afternoon he went around the barn yard to tell the good news. Pig said it was a horrible idea. “Well then! Kat said but he continued on any way. Everybody hated his idea. Rooster, Bunny, everyone! He crawled in his bed. Tired and let down. Nobody liked him, or his idea. That night, he dreamt of something wonderful. That he could fly. He flew all the way to space, and he touched the sky.

Another Fairy Tale
All the kings horses and all the kings men, tried to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. But they couldn’t because they had to save Red Riding Hoods grandma. Sadly they couldn’t save her because the big bad wolf was harassing the Three Little Pigs. At the exact same moment Sleeping Beauty awoke. Also Snow White didn’t eat that apple, because while Humpty was in pieces, he had a vision in the witches’ magic ball that the apple was poisoned. And when he awoke, he leaped up to save her. While on his quest to save Snow White he was again shattered into pieces by the carriage that carried Bells father back to the town. As he lay there a deer and a rabbit named Bambi and Thumper heard Mr. Dumpty’s last words, “Save Snow White.” They ran and hopped through the forest. They only stopped to ask directions from, Elmer, the wabbit hunter. With Bugs no longer on his mind, he chased Thumper through the forest. Bambi managed to calm Elmer down enough so they can tell him about the very bad news. He didn’t care though and Elmer continued the chase. They ran and ran forever. So the chain was never broken, Humpty Dumpty, did fall, Snow White did eat that apple, Sleeping Beauty fell back asleep. And the Three Little Pigs got eaten.
