To help celebrate our 25th Anniversary is ‘Impspire’, Running Imp’s new mascot! Deriving his name from the message and spirit which emerged across the nation during last year’s successful summer of sport and the Lincoln Imp, the famous stone carving found in Lincoln’s historic Cathedral, our mischievous green mascot will be seen dashing to different sporting events up and down the country having fun and helping to inspire young people to take part in sport.

Welcome & Awards Welcome to our Special 25th Anniversary Edition

Founded in 1988 and originally operating from home we couldn’t have imagined in our wildest dreams that 25 years later we would be celebrating such a momentous milestone. We’ve had some great times but also many tough times over the years. Remember the foot and mouth epidemic in 2001, the dreaded recession (and more than one!), and yet in this current economic climate in such austere times, we are still expanding - a true testament to the dedication and hard work of our staff. However there is one member of staff who merits a special mention. Since joining us from school in 1991 as Office Junior, she is not only our longest serving employee but now our new Managing Director and cornerstone of the Company Faye Yarwood - well done Faye!

Over the 25 years we have seen 7 Summer Olympic Games, moved premises 3 times and sadly lost many family and friends. But as the next generation emerges to take the reins to inspire a new generation, we are proud that our ‘one-stop-shopping’ policy and 4 key aims of service, advice, choice and value have truly stood the test of time.

For 2013 we have frozen our prices on over 98% of our products, giving you not only better value for money but also a promise that we will not be beaten on price for ‘like-for-like’ products.

And the Winner is...Running Imp!

At a glittering awards ceremony in September we were delighted to be announced as the winner of the Business Diversity Award at the Lincolnshire Media Business Awards 2012.

Founder and CEO Chris Illsley said “We were delighted to have received the award and that our ambitious Diamond Jubilee campaign played a hugely significant part in it.” We were also shortlisted as finalists in the categories of Large Business of the Year Award and the Overall Business of the Year Award. In the absence of an awards ceremony in 2011, this was the 3rd business award won in successive years having previously being presented with the Lincolnshire Bites Back Award in 2009 and the Customer Care Award in 2010.

Our Charity of the Year - St Barnabas Hospice Providing care and support for over 30 years

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice has been providing care and support free of charge to people living with a life-limiting illness, their families and carers for over 3 decades. We offer patients and their families Hospice care and support through a number of services: • Our specialist 11 bed in-patient unit • Community Hospice at Home Service • Day Therapy and Outpatient Clinics • Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Complementary Therapy • Welfare Advice and Support • Bereavement Support

Over the past 30 years the hospice has touched the lives of thousands of Lincolnshire families since it became one of the first in the UK to open its doors in 1982. Thanks to the generosity of the community, and the skills of its staff and volunteers, it has stayed at the national forefront of personalised and high quality patient care ever since.

We Said... “In the last 12 months we have cared for and supported over 5,600 patients and their families but we wouldn’t be able to do this without the generous support of companies like Running Imp”

All of our services are free but we need to raise over £3.1 million each year to continue the care and support we provide. All donations received and money raised as a result of Running Imp’s support will help to continue, improve and extend St Barnabas Hospice services.

Each year we adopt a charity to whom we donate money to from the sale of medals and company fundraising projects.

Orders Can be Taken by... ...email, via the website, letter, fax or phone. Please include product(s) required, date required by, delivery and invoice address and your contact details. For personalised and engraved items, please include layout and ALL engraving details. Most standard stock items can be despatched the same day if required - please state if you require this when ordering.

We are pleased to announce that our Charity of the Year for 2013 is St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice who provide the people of Linconshire with high quality specialist palliative care and support. Our reasons for choosing St Barnabas are two fold. We felt it would be appropriate to support a local charity to celebrate our 25 years and to say a big thank you for the kindness and support they showed to our amazing and inspirational friend Jules King who sadly died in St Barnabas in March of last year. In Jules’ own words: “St Barnabas is a fantastic service and gives such wonderful care to me and my family. My biggest worry was how my family would cope after I am gone, but knowing that the hospice will be there for them is a massive weight off my shoulders. People need to know what a wonderful charity St Barnabas are and what great work they do”.

Throughout 2013 we will be donating 1p from the sale of every standard medal to St Barnabas Hospice. These will be indicated by a St Barnabas Hospice Donation lozenge and it is hoped that we will be able to make a significant contribution to help continue improve and extend St Barnabas Hospice services.

Last year from the sale of our medals and company fundraising projects we were delighted to be able to present The Prince’s Trust with a cheque for £13,000. Founded in 1976 by The Prince of Wales, His Royal Highness became dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK and it is hoped that our contribution will make a significant difference to such a worthy cause.

TIMING CLOCK HIRE With highly visible digits, our single and double sided clocks can be used to time a multitude of events. All are battery operated (which we supply) allowing the clocks to be displayed at even the most inaccessible of places. DISPLAYED ANYWHERE Both types can be gantry hung or mounted, car mounted or freestanding. Single sided clocks are available to hire from only £109 per day and double sided clocks from only £119 per day. There is also a delivery charge and a nominal operator’s fee. Information INFLATABLE GANTRY HIRE We have 3 gantry colours to choose from: blue, red and pink. All are 7m wide x 4m high and can show START, FINISH or be blank. Depending on your event they could be used at the start showing START and then moved to the finish to show FINISH. From only £149 per day plus delivery and a nominal operator’s charge. INFLATED ANYWHERE Each gantry comes with a freestanding blower which will inflate it within seconds. Both petrol and electric blowers are now available; the advantage of a petrol blower is that the gantry can be inflated anywhere, and not restricted to a nearby power point. Q. Where are the medals manufactured? A. All our bespoke personalised medals are manufactured in our partner factory in China, for the very best quality at effectively wholesale prices.

Q. In the ‘How to Order’ section on page 73 you ask for designs to be sent in specific formats. If I am unable to do that, what should I do? A. No problem. Simply send us your guidelines with any logos (if any) you want incorporating and we will design the medal for you FREE of Charge! (see FREE design service below).

Q. How do I work out my medal price? A. All prices shown are based on circular 3mm thick medals. For example, if your design is 50mm in diameter look in the 50mm column prices etc.

Q. I have heard that the medals can be produced and delivered in only 6 weeks or even less, is that correct? A. Yes, they can. Once you have ‘signed-off’ the artwork and approved your design it can take only 6 weeks (and sometimes less) to produce and deliver your medals if we use air freight. Q. Is there a surcharge for the medals to be flown in? A. Yes there is a nominal charge. Depending on the size of medals and quantity, it can be less than 25p per medal. We will give you an exact quotation at the time of ordering if you require this express delivery service. Q. Can I order bespoke medals without having to pay the express delivery air freight charge? A. Yes, if you are able to place your order further in advance and use our 12 week sea freight delivery. Q. Does the 6 or 12 week production lead time include delivery to me? A. Yes. Q. What if I receive more entries than anticipated, can I order a ‘last minute top-up’ to my medal order? A. Yes. We can produce a ‘top-up’ to your order within a lead time of 3-4 weeks.

We have a variety of background stipple effects that can be incorporated into your design (see below). Simply quote the stipple effect number(s) on your mock-up or contact us for a FREE sample. Q. How long will it take for me to receive artwork back from you for approval? A. Normally within 3 to 4 working days. Q. When I have received my medal design back for approval, what if I require some changes? A. Again no problem, we will keep amending your design until you are completely happy with it! Q. Will there be any charge for these amendments? A. Absolutely not.

Die Charges Q. How do I know how many dies I will be charged for? A. You will only be charged a die for each side that has a design. Q. What if exactly the same design is on both sides of the medal? A. You will still be charged for 2 dies as we would have to make 2 dies to produce your design. Q. What if my design has ‘cut-outs’? A. You will be charged 2 dies even if the reverse of your medal is plain, as a second die has to be produced to incorporate any cut-outs.

Q. What if my medals are rectangular? A. If the longest side is at least 20mm more than the shorter side, for example 60mm x 40mm, look under the 60mm prices, and if they are 50mm x 30mm look under the 50mm prices etc. Q. How can I work out the price if my medals are not circular or rectangular? A. Simply send us a diagram showing us the shape and size of your required medal (it can be ANY shape including with cut-outs) and we will give you an exact quotation within 24 hours. Q. Can my medals be thicker or thinner than 3mm? A. Yes. We can produce medals in any thickness from 2mm up to 20mm thick if required. Q. How will this affect my price? A. As a general guideline please add 10% to our printed prices for every 1mm of additional medal thickness required. However, please contact us with your specific requirements and we will give you an exact quotation within 24 hours.

Optional Extras Q. Can I have printed ribbons? A. Yes. We can overprint your ribbons in a single colour or multicolour, please contact us for your specific requirements. Q. Do you have any other optional extras for medals? A. Yes. We have a variety of optional extras that will further enhance your medals including crystal inserts, extra thick medals and advertising cards. The only limit is your imagination!

TROLLEY COINS Available in gold, silver or bronze in antique or shiny finish, in either a £1 or 11 size with your design printed or enamelled on one side in up to 3 colours. Made initially like soft enamel pin badges but infilled with a powdered glass mixture which when fired in a kiln at a high temperature results in a highly polished bright shine.

Used when photographic images or gradients of colours are required. The design is photo printed onto a blank pin badge then coated with a clear epoxy dome to protect the image.
