February is Black History Month and there is no better place to celebrate than at your local library. There will be engaging, all ages programs across the parish highlighting the achievements of African Americans. Be sure to check out our calendar of events or sign up for our newsletter at www.mytpl.org in order to be up-to-date on library happenings.

In order to get you and your family in the mood to celebrate, here are a couple of my favorite books by and about African Americans. All three books are available through the Terrebonne Parish Library System, and you can reserve a copy today at www.mytpl.org.
