This intensive Three-Week Professional Golf Turf Management School provides the specialized skills you need to advance in the turf management field. Become a more informed and technically sound turfgrass manager by: • Developing a better understanding of the science behind good cultural practices • Refining and improving your managerial and leadership skills and communicating more effectively with your staff, your supervisors and your customers • Becoming familiar with the newest turf research and developments pioneered at the Rutgers University horticulture farm and soil and plant testing labs • Developing contacts and exploring career opportunities in turfgrass management by plugging into an active network of colleagues and alumni at Rutgers.

Who Should Attend and Why Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents will learn the tools needed to understand why their turf and personnel management strategies make sense -- or could be improved. Golf Course Forepersons will learn the wide range of skills needed to become the reliable eyes and ears of the superintendent on the course, as well as new ways of motivating their crews. Greenskeepers and Laborers will learn the skills and earn the credentials needed to move up the career ladder. Committing to three weeks of intensive study demonstrates you have the ambition, commitment and training of a leader. Irrigation Technicians and Mechanics will expand their knowledge, range and value by learning new agronomic and personnel management skills. Golf Course Architects or Golf Course Construction Specialists will value our focused content by gaining a maximum of skills in a minimum amount of time. Golf Course Owners and Club Managers will make better business risk/return and cost/benefit decisions by improving their understanding of the technical side of turf management and the cost side of the budget.
