The Office of Admissions selects a talented class of students who vigorously contribute to and care for the community, and society at large. In selecting candidates, we consider a range of attributes such as academic excellence, life experiences, resilience, personal growth and maturity; as well as various other dimensions. Qualities of integrity, humanism, and passion are considered as these factors may influence an applicant’s potential to succeed in medical school and are critical to their growth as physician-leaders.

At NJMS, our application process is designed to identify candidates who share our mission and are eager to make a positive impact within our community. In 2024, we received 6,645 applications, conducted 715 interviews, and welcomed 172 new students. Through this process, we aim to build a supportive environment where each student is prepared to learn, grow, and excel.
