Patient group takes the pressure off surgery with monitor gift
Do-it-yourself blood pressure checks can be done at Cromer’s new GP surgery thanks to the fundraising efforts of a patients’ group.
The £1000 machine in the main waiting room has been bought by the practice’s Patient Participation Group (PPG) through events ranging from a dinner to a cake sale, and boosted by a £500 grant from Overstrand Parish Council.
It will enable patients to measure their blood pressure by putting their arm in a sleeve and get a print out of results, to gauge against a chart of target readings – taking pressure off nursing staff who also do the checks.
The machine is the first donation by a new fundraising committee of the

patients’ group led by David Witham. It now aims to raise another £2000-plus to buy two 24-hour blood pressure monitors.
PPG chairman Liz Hewett, said the main PPG role was to represent the 13,000 registered patients to give them best possible experience when using its services. She was re-elected PPG chairman at the recent annual general meeting, with Ruth Page as her deputy. Liz has a background in nursing including at director level in the NHS and with the Royal College of Nursing.

Age Concern North Norfolk, based in Sheringham, is a small charity that supports the elderly in the wider area (some with early dementia) with a Day Centre Hub, Intergenerational activities and a Drop In Service.
If you have current or past financial, business, HR or administrative expertise, your skills will be particularly valuable, but we welcome expressions of interest from all individuals over 18 years of age who are willing to commit regularly approximately 4 hours a month to volunteering with us as a Trustee. This time includes our monthly trustees meeting and some extra time using your own particular skill set. This might be to help with fund raising or other tasks.
Trustees usually serve initially for a period of 3 years. You will be joining a team of dedicated people who will offer support. We will value your unique skills and innovative ideas. We hold a trustees meeting monthly on a Thursday in Sheringham.
If you are interested, please contact ageconcernmanager@gmail.com or phone 01263 821188
There will be an informal interview process and a chance for you to ask any questions of your own.
We look forward to meeting you. Jennie Cummings-Knight Chair Age Concern North Norfolk

Patient group takes the pressure off surgery with monitor gift
Continued from front cover... Setting out the aims for the coming year, she said the PPG aimed to carry on raising the profile of the PPG with members volunteering to help at flu clinics, meeting and greeting patients, encouraging them to use the self-check-in system, register their mobile phones for messaging, and sign up for online services which enable appointment booking/cancellation, ordering of repeat prescriptions and access to test results.
The AGM heard the move to the new surgery had been welcomed by patients and staff, and there were plans to use the building for a range of new healthrelated services and meetings from yoga to support groups.
The PPG is also a sounding board for patient views on services and aims to improve communication between patients and the practice. It is keen to recruit more members to widen the cross section of patients it represents. Anyone interested can find out more its work at the surgery website www.cromergrouppractice.nhs.uk or email cromerppg@gmail.com
Firm offers Tees and cake to raise money for cancer charities Hayes & Storr Solicitors have been busy over recent weeks raising as much cash as possible for various cancer charities through a series of events including a golf day in Cromer, a coastal hike from Wells to Hunstanton and a coffee morning in Holt. It all started with a Cancer Research UK ‘Race for Life’ hike where a team of female staff, known internally as the ‘Hayes Angels’ walked 22 miles from Hunstanton to Wells and raised over ÂŁ500 for Cancer Research UK.
Last month the firm’s 6th Staff at the Macmillan Coffee Annual Golf Day, at Morning at Hayes + Storr in Holt Royal Cromer, was the ideal event to raise ÂŁ450 for Macmillan Cancer Support, supplying a wide variety of homemade cakes to 54 players from local businesses, as they each arrived hungry at the ‘Half Way House’ on the course.
Hayes Angels
Then a Macmillan coffee morning at the Hayes + Storr Holt office raised ÂŁ400 from the home-baking efforts of staff.
Richard Hewitt, Director at Hayes & Storr said “the MacMillan Coffee Morning is a fabulous event each year to get involved in, raising funds to help provide support for those, including from within this firm, who are affected directly or indirectly by cancer. We are grateful to those staff and friends of the firm who have used their considerable baking skills to good effect, and to the many clients and contacts who have donated so generously in return.

WHY CHOOSE SILVER SIL VER & W WARD ARD SOLICIT ORS in 201 ? 201 ? SOLICITORS
“It’s a recurrent misconception that a larger firm is better.
I am Clare Mayell and I own Silver and Ward Solicitors in Sheringham. I am an extremely competent and experienced solicitor. I appreciate that any time of the year can be a difficult difficult time for many people to resolve legal issues of worry and concern, for example, making a will or Lasting Power of Attorney. As I have worked for 2 larger local firms I know what clients want and expect. My charges are significantly less than other solicitors in North Norfolk or Norwich and I provide 22 years of expertise and exceptional service. I pride myself in being one of the only solicitors who offers offers a FREE FIRST APPOINTMENT APPOINTMENT,, so clients can come in and obtain some initial advice and discuss costs and then make an informed decision. At a larger firm you just pay more. When a client rings or walks through the door they invariably get to speak to me as this personal and direct approach is important to my clients and I. I ensure complete confidentiality is an absolute priority. I advise new clients to “shop around as I know that my charges are significantly less than other solicitors but I can offer offer the same expertise, if not better. I have and can act for clients across Norfolk and the Country as we now have the use of Skype, emails etc. so it enables me to act for clients further afield. The reason that clients, near and far, instruct Silver and Ward is because of my expertise, exceptional service and competitive costs.
“I would say to any potential client with a legal issue or worry in 201 to come and meet me face to face for a FREE FIRST APPOINTMENT, as you have nothing to lose but all to gain.
Home visits can be arranged or appointments outside of office hours including Saturdays. 01263 823465 or email clare@silverandward.co.uk

Time to say #whatSUP with single-use plastic Smart new cups help the environment – and can save money too.
Smart, reusable, environmentally-friendly cups are now on sale in North Norfolk – and they should prove a popular choice for people who want to do their bit to save the planet.
The cups have been produced as part of North Norfolk District Council’s #whatSUP campaign – a push to slash the use of single-use plastic (SUP) in North Norfolk and beyond.
The ‘Refill not Landfill’ branding is designed to spread the message that it’s easy to cut down on how much SUP we get through.
As well as helping the environment, using one of these cups can quickly pay for itself. Many coffee outlets, for example, give a discount to customers who provide their own reusable cups. Reducing SUP use is particularly important in North Norfolk. No district in England has more Blue Flag beaches, and helping to reduce the amount of SUP can only help the district’s beaches and the marine life in the sea.
6
The cups are available for £5 from the North Norfolk Information Centre in Cromer.

Overstrand Evening WI
A good turnout to our September meeting was treated to a most entertaining evening as our speaker Hilary Cox updated us on her eventful life.
Her audience found her just as engaging this year as last. Some of us may have two cars, but very few can say they are a 2 MBE household.
Hilary, a gently persuasive lady, told us of the upcoming award she will receive on 29 November and of a dilemma this posed, as she was able to have just three guests present. As she has a husband and 3 children, all of whom wished to go, she phoned the Palace to seek guidance, with the result that all will be welcome. Problem solved! Her lively talk, illustrated with copious press cuttings and anecdotes, gave us a flavour of her busy life including tireless charity work taking her abroad on occasion where she has met many interesting people. An energetic fund raiser, Hilary has cycled hundreds of miles helping to benefit many less fortunate than us with the money raised. Locally she has reinvigorated local hostelries in Cromer, losing no chance to provide places for the community to come together, and she was instrumental in getting the much needed Felbrigg roundabout in place which we can all thank her for. The Craft evening held in August was, this year, some tuition on flower arranging by one of our members, and was greatly enjoyed with some lovely creations made. Next month the speaker will be Mr Trevor Eady of the North Norfolk Railway. Our meetings are on the third Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall, Overstrand. New members from the area always welcomed.
Cromer WI
After a break in August our President welcomed 44 members and 3 visitors to our September meeting.
Our speaker was Tony Grover from SERV (Services by Emergency Response Volunteers) Norfolk Blood Bikes.
This is an important charity entirely funded by public donations. It receives no monetary help from the Government, local councils or the NHS and costs £3250 a month to run just in Norfolk. Blood Bikes were first used in Surrey as far back as 1962 but SERV started in Surrey in 1981 and the Norfolk branch was started in 2011. They support 3 hospitals, Queen Elizabeth in Kings Lynn, Norfolk and Norwich and James Paget in Lowestoft. The service is provided 365 nights a year as well as every weekend and bank holiday. It doesn’t only carry blood, it also takes breast milk, platelets, samples and even surgical instruments saving the NHS vast sums of money in taxis and courier services. Mostly motor bikes are used but if the outside temperature falls below 2 degrees a car transports the items. All SERV riders and drivers are volunteers. The competition was “An item beginning with C”. First was Liz Holehouse, 2nd Jill Betz and 3rd Judy Roberts.
All ladies are welcome to our meetings - it costs £4 as a visitor and we start at 2pm in Cromer Community Hall.
World’s Biggest Coffee Morning Success
Karen and Martin Hall hosted a World’s Biggest Coffee morning at their home and in their wonderful garden in Arbor Hill, Cromer on 1 September for friends, family and neighbours. “Over 60 people came along. We held a large raffle with over 65 donated prizes. The event raised a grand total of £582.40 for Macmillan Cancer Support”.
Karen and Martin would like to thank all those who came along and supported the event.

Blakeney Rowing Club makes a Splash
It has been a hectic and enjoyable few weeks for your local rowing club.
Apart from the usual outings involving experienced and newer rowers, there have been some major events. The first of these took place on the morning of 1 September and it was the second Wells to Blakeney row. Our two skiffs – Hoi Larntan and Bluejacket – were ably crewed along the channel from Wells, into the open water around the Point, accompanied by a flotilla of kayaks and canoes. It was a great morning on the water. Many thanks to all who took part including, of course, those who undertook the responsibility of towing the skiffs to the starting point. The two skiffs barely had time to get dry before they were wheeled out for the Blakeney Regatta race the following day. This eagerly anticipated event was a real battle on the water as two well
matched crews strove hard to gain advantage. It was the closest and most exciting race seen for many years. Hoi Larntan made it first over the line with every member of the crew pulling hard. Well done to all concerned!
Once again, on 8 September, the Crabbers were well represented at The Great River Race on the Thames; both skiffs were involved. This is an international event and, this year, 320 crews were taking part in a race which is always full of colour and excitement. The competition over the occasionally turbulent waters was hard and keen. However, the crew of Hoi Larntan completed the twenty-two miles in a very creditable time of just over three hours with the Bluejacket rowers coming in twenty minutes later. It was an exhausting but thoroughly enjoyable day. Many thanks must go to organisers and boat transporters who contributed so much time and effort. See some great action pictures on
Tasty start to the day at new breakfast club

Why not come along and try skiff rowing? Socialise on the water or compete. The choice is entirely yours. You may sample three rows before deciding whether to join and no previous experience is necessary. Coaching is always on offer. If you are interested in the fun of rowing, contact Tom on 01263 761570. You can also follow club activities on Facebook. See you on the water soon, Barry Howes
Pupils at a Cromer school are starting the day full of beans (and toast, egg and fruit juice) thanks to a brand new breakfast club. The school's breakfast club opened its doors at the start of the autumn term, offering pupils a wide menu of nutritious food and drink before the start of the school day.
Prices start at just 20p for buttered toast or baked beans, with cereals, bacon rolls, eggs, pastries and juice also on offer from 8am to 8.25am every day. Pupils who are receiving free school meals don’t pay a penny for their breakfast. Headteacher Antony Little explained “Research tells us that children who eat a good breakfast do better in school than those who don’t, with better concentration and attendance.
“We’re delighted to provide this opportunity for our pupils to join us every morning for a tasty, sociable, and healthy start to the day.”

Dear Margaret,
I would like to thank everyone who in any way made our Fun Day at Mannington Hall such a great event, where all ages could enjoy themselves on a beautiful summers day.
Thank you all very much indeed. I am relieved that my idea, with the help of many other Lions, came to fruition in such a rewarding way. We made £3800 towards the portable ECG machine for the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital.
Yours sincerely, Liz Bowler President, Sheringham & Cromer Lions Club

CROMER FLOWER CLUB
Our demonstrator at our September meeting was Vicki Hease, an area demonstrator and national teacher, and her subject was ‘That’s not what it’s for’. He first arrangement was not the usual use for a chamber pot but it looked splendid with fatsia leaves, blue conifers, phormium leaves at different heights, michaelmas daisies, bright orange germinies, green hypericum and orange chinese lanterns. She then produced a flower bucket and covered it with an old cardigan, sounds terrible but looked great! Spiralling orange germinies and superb orange roses, begonia leaves and variegated euonymus completed the look. Then out came a lime green shopping basket which she filled with foliage, pretty grasses, hydrangea heads just turning burgundy, white lilies, deep plumb pittosporum, magenta spray carnations and deep purple dahlias.
Next was a whacky container made out of covered chicken wire, spray painted and dotted with jigsaw puzzle pieces. Pittosporum and manipulated aspidistra leaves to completely cover the floral foam. She added deep chocolate kangaroo paws, rubus, yellow roses and boom boom pom pom dahlias in sherbert lemon for a bright finish. Out of the pantry came the old plastic addis vegetable rack transformed into a thing of beauty with weigela, asparagus fern, green spray chrysanthemums, white carnations and white roses.
Last was an old loo roll stand with colanders attached, phormium leaves, loncicera, ivy trails, white edged pittosporum were arranged and the flowers were gypsophila, dahlias, white roses with a pink flush, and fabulous anthuriums white with a pink fringe along with delicate waterfall grass.
The vote of thanks was given by Jill Breeze. Best in show in our competition ‘Upcycle’ was Janice Pope. The arrangement was in a container covered with wooden pieces and tied with twine, with a lovely red gladioli at the centre and surrounded with gimminiea and pittasporem. At 7.20pm on 15 October in the Primary School we will welcome Barbara Collins who will show us some ‘Floral Moments’. This meeting is free to all comers, so if you have any interest in flowers or gardening please come along. Our friendly chairman Hazel will welcome you at the door along with everyone else!

Trio Sing for EAAA
This Norfolk based trio of singers is performing to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, and also for Sheringham Little Theatre, which is hosting a wonderful musical evening on Saturday 3 November.
Twins Robert and Andy Walker, known as The Walker Brothers of Norfolk, and singer Madeline Hudson, will be singing popular songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s that you are bound to find yourself singing along with! Rob, Andy and Madeline perform a wide range of musical genres, but for this show they will focus on well-loved pop classics. Andy, who lives in Overstrand and has his own plumbing company, has a great deal of singing experience, ranging from fronting rock bands to musical theatre, to opera, once playing the male lead in Carmen!
Madeline, a French teacher who also lives in Overstrand, has sung in musicals, shows and concerts for many years and joined the Walker brothers a few years ago when they discovered a mutual love of singing great songs.
Rob, a charity fund raiser, lives with his partner just south of Norwich, but comes to Overstrand to rehearse with Andy and Madeline every week. His wide musical experience includes performing with bands and running a choir. Together the trio have raised money for many local, national and international charities.
With voices blended in harmony as well as solo spots, this evening will be a fantastic celebration of the best songs from the recent past and will leave you with a smile on your face, a spring in your step, and the knowledge that you have helped raise funds for two great charities. Now that’s what you call a good evening! Saturday 3 November 7.30pm. Tickets £12.50. Sheringham Little Theatre Box office: 01263 822347

Wills, Gifts, and Legal Jargon Fiona Hewitt, Director, Hayes + Storr
The main (although not sole) purpose of a will is usually to decide who will receive what belongs to you when you are gone.
In other words, it is a gift of your ‘estate’ (everything you own), to take effect on your death. There may simply be one straightforward gift of everything to a relative, friend or charity, or you may wish to make a number of gifts to different individuals or organisations. As lawyers, we tend to distinguish between different types of gift. The legal vocabulary used can seem over-complicated to clients, but the distinctions can be important in the administration of an estate. It might be helpful to explain some of the most common words used in the contexts of gifts in Wills: The word ‘legacy’ is often used in place of ‘gift’ in a legal context, because it relates particularly to a gift (of any sort) in a Will, as opposed to a lifetime gift, for example. A ‘specific gift’ is a gift of a particular, and separately defined, item or asset. This could be a gold watch or piece of furniture, for instance, or it could be a gift of some shares in a company or even the contents of a particular bank account. A ‘pecuniary legacy’ is a gift of an amount of money, such as ‘I give the sum of One Hundred Pounds to my friend Fred’.
‘Chattels’ refers to personal possessions. The reason we tend to use the rather archaic term ‘chattels’ is because it has been defined quite precisely in legislation, which can help to avoid confusion and conflict.
Your legal matters in safe hands
A definition of chattels appears in the Administration of Estates Act 1925, and this is the list with which most solicitors are familiar. However, it is rather outdated, with its reference to ‘carriages’ and ‘stable furniture’, and it was amended in the Inheritance and Trustees Powers Act 2014 to mean, for legal purposes, ‘tangible movable property, other than such property which:
So if you find your draft Will or the letter accompanying it contains some unusual language or punctuation, please bear with us, but do make sure you know what it all means. Historians and farmers may be interested to note the strong connection in the past between wealth and agricultural assets. The word ‘pecuniary’ came originally from ‘pecus’, the Latin word for cattle, and, by derivation, for wealth or money. ‘Chattel’ has the same Latin (and Anglo-Norman French) roots as our word ‘cattle’ itself.

On a related matter, clients often comment on the lack of punctuation in Wills. It is usual to be extremely sparing, especially with commas and full stops. It may be an old fashioned approach, which isn’t followed by all, but it still has merit. Although a lack of punctuation makes the Will a The past three months came out as more difficult predicted although put under some document to read, it pressure from an invigorated Atlantic in September as the tropics avoids any possibility of produced a few storms, some of which tracked past our western misunderstanding – the shores. ‘Eats Shoots Up until then the hurricane season, as last year, was benign and way and Leaves’ issue*.

Thereafter we start to get an increase in unsettled conditions continuing into November when wet conditions will dominate. December is likely to be a mixed month but throughout October to December no sustained cold weather is envisaged as low and high pressure systems will cross the country. Sam from The Old Rock Shop Bistro who are sponsoring the event said “More people than ever are taking up running and this local event provides the opportunity for runners of all abilities to join in with their families & friends to raise money for any charity or non-profit organisation close to their heart.”
Councillor Phil Harris said “We know local community groups are always looking at ways of raising money and we are trying to help them achieve this in a fun way.” To help on the day we would ask any community group wanting to take part to provide a couple of stewards.

Holt Country
Park photography
competition
Chance for your pictures to feature in calendar
If you are a keen photographer and love shooting in North Norfolk, Holt is the place for you.
North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) has launched its Holt Country Park photography competition. Each month over the coming year, the council is accepting entries of your photos of the park.
The photos must have been taken in the month immediately preceding submission. Each monthly winner will collect a small prize.
At the end of the 12 months, the winning photographs will be used in a Holt Country Park 2020 calendar.
You don’t have to have the best equipment to win – just the photograph which the judges like the most!
You can submit your images online by using #HCPhotoComp on Twitter or Instagram, or send them to countryside@north-norfolk.gov.uk
For competition rules, visit www.north-norfolk.gov.uk/ news/2018/holt-country-parkphotography-competiton/ Follow Holt Country Park on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ events/1756767917691832/

National Trust Newest Acquisition - John Idiens Wood The newest acquisition of the National Trust is an area of mixed woodland, above Town Hill in West Runton which has been has been designated ‘John Idiens Wood’ in memory of John, who died in 2016.

The acquisition of this piece woodland was made possible by a generous donation from an old school friend of John’s.
John volunteered for the National Trust in Norfolk for over 30 years. He was volunteer manager for the National Trust for the West Runton and Beeston Regis Heath property for nearly 20 years, leading teams of volunteers in the restoration and management of heathland and woodland at West Runton and Beeston Regis. In 2010 he was awarded an MBE for his work.
In early September 2018, former and present volunteers, family, friends and National Trust staff gathered in the wood to drink a toast to the memory of John.
New signage has been installed and the woodland can be accessed on foot from Sandy Lane, opposite the entrance to Renwick Park.
Eco-friendly students have green goals in sight
Students at a Cromer school have been showing off their progress towards their vision of a totally eco-friendly school.

Cromer Academy's senior prefect team welcomed Kate Haselton-Glee from North Norfolk District Council’s environmental team on Tuesday, September 18 to discuss the steps they’d made towards a greener school, following a visit from the council’s cabinet member for the environment Hilary Cox in June.
Kate heard about the steps that the school has already taken to reduce its environmental impact, such as using metal cutlery rather than plastic knives and forks in the canteen.
Cromer Academy headteacher Antony Little and senior prefect team discuss their green plans with Kate Haselton-Glee from North Norfolk District Council
Keen to make the school even more eco-friendly, the students outlined proposals to reduce the amount of packaging on foods, increase the amount of waste that’s recycled, and introduce a school composting scheme.
Headteacher Antony Little said "Students at Cromer Academy are very knowledgeable about the environment and want to do more to help. The message from Kate was clear - we need to be looking at reducing our waste, reusing what we can, and recycling what is left. We are grateful for the help and support of the council, and others, in making this happen. The transformation of the environmental footprint of the school for future generations will be a great legacy for our highly eco-aware students.

Volunteers Needed! Time to Spare? North Norfolk Community Transport is currently looking for people with a few hours to spare who can offer their services as volunteer drivers. We are a local charitable organisation that provides a door to door service to hundreds of North Norfolk residents who do not have easy access to other forms of transport.
Typically our members will use the service to travel from the outlying villages into such destinations as North Walsham, Cromer, Sheringham, Holt, Wroxham and Stalham to shop and run errands. Many of our passengers also enjoy the social aspect of the journey as they can catch up with neighbours and also meet new people. We are particularly proud of our drivers who are friendly reliable and always happy to ‘go the extra mile’ and help with the shopping bags.
Although from different locations, they all weigh between 230 and 260 grams. As by mid November at the latest, they would need to weigh the recommended minimum weight of 650 grams to survive hibernation, it is looking likely that they will be spending the winter here. Please keep a look out for these small ones, who will be desperately seeking lots of food to gain weight.
I will be at North Walsham Garden Centre on Saturday 13 October between 10am and 3pm with leaflets, advice and hopefully a resident hedgehog. Come along and say hello.

Laser hair removal just got better!
Try the latest, fastest, painless and most effective hair removal laser at the Coltishall Cosmetic Clinic. With up to 30% off this autumn there is no reason not to!
According to the latest research in hair removal, women shave 11,540 times in their lifetime and men spend 3000 hours on their shaving routine. It is no surprise then that a large number of people are turning to a long lasting solution for unwanted hair.
At the Coltishall Cosmetic Clinic, Dr Sanjay Gheyi MBBS MS FRCS FPCert BCAAM treats patients not only from Norfolk, but also surrounding counties and abroad. True to his philosophy of offering best treatments and technologies he has invested in the best technology for laser hair removal.
We see patients in all age groups, both sexes and gender reassignment cases. We all realise the physical impact of unwanted hair, but when we dig a bit deeper it is quite heart wrenching to hear some stories. Often there is lack of awareness of laser hair removal and how effective it is.
Coltishall Clinic now has not one, but five different lasers for hair removal. One laser cannot work best for everyone. Hence we have decided to have a range of lasers to provide best results to our patients and clients. Says clinic manager Trish.
How do we choose your laser? - We consider your skin type, hair type and body area to treat and then decide which machine will work best for you. You do need to have a proper consultation for laser hair removal. We also see people who can have medical reasons for hair growth and further testing or issues may need to be considered.
What about the pain and speed! It is not painful; sensation is just like snap from a rubber band. A cool gel is used with IPL and cool spray with our laser, which is incredibly fast and allows us to treat a full back or lower or upper legs in less than 40 minutes. It is very safe and offers unmatched results. You can watch a video of this laser on our website.
To book an appointment call 0800 0430737 or visit www.coltishallclinic.co.uk

Local Artist Exhibits at Council’s First Floor Gallery
Anna Ovenden is the latest featured artist North Norfolk District Council is showcasing the work of local artist Anna Ovenden in the First Floor Gallery at its Cromer offices until 2 November. Anna is mainly known for the ‘Arabella Collections’, she is a self-taught artist who was born and educated in Malaysia before she and her husband moved to Norfolk 19 years ago.
The 1st Floor Gallery is open to the public 8.30am-5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 10am-5pm on Wednesdays; and 8.30am-4.30pm on Fridays.
Anna’s latest collections of landscape paintings are influenced by the big sky and constant changes along the Norfolk coast. She works mainly in acrylics and water colours and lately has taken up textile and fibre, which is incorporated in her mixed media art work. She believes that “Art is the creation of what the artist sees” and she applies this mantra to her latest collection that will be featured in Cromer. North Norfolk District Council seeks to offer free opportunities to local artists to display their work in the well-lit gallery, and in turn provides staff and visitors the opportunity to see a variety of artists’ work. Six exhibitions are held annually.
