Concert at Sharrington
Sharrington Village Hall is delighted to announce a concert by internationally celebrated singer/songwriters Edwina Hayes and Carrie Martin at 7.30 pm on 9 March.
Edwina’s beautifully written songs, charming stage presence and voice of an angel have won her a reputation as a true natural talent of gentle folkAmericana. She has opened numerous shows for Jools Holland and Van
Morrison as well as her own gigs, playing stages everywhere from Glastonbury Festival to The Royal Albert Hall. The title track of her album 'Pour Me A Drink' was covered by Nanci Griffith who calls her ‘the sweetest voice in England’ and her cover of the Randy Newman song ‘Feels Like Home’ was featured in the Cameron Diaz film ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ and has since had over eight million plays on You Tube.
Edwina is supported by her friend the brilliant Carrie Martin. In 2017 she released her acclaimed album 'Seductive Sky', on which she was joined by guests such as her great friend Gordon Giltrap, keyboard maestro Oliver Wakeman and
legendary guitarist Elliott Randall, along with Daniel Karl Cassidy, younger brother of the late Eva Cassidy, with whom Carrie has sometimes been compared herself. It will be a memorable evening and entry is by ticket only which are available at only £10 each. Please email Chrisabrams.chris2@gmail.com or check our website below for further details www.sharrington.org.uk We have a licensed bar and look forward to seeing you there!
Overstrand Belfry Centre has major coup by signing together and I'm sure the crowd will love our collaboration.' well-known Ibiza DJ
North Norfolk's Overstrand art and music venue The Belfry Centre has had a major coup by hiring Ibiza DJ Madhatter to play at its regular 'Soul Night'.
Resident Belfry Soul Night DJ and Overstrand resident Paul Hensby said 'DJ Madhatter saw one of our posters and asked if he could get involved with the Overstrand Soul Nights. I immediately agreed as we have a natural affinity. We both worked in journalism and PR, and have loved soul music from an early age. We are looking forward to working
DJ Madhatter said: 'Even though I've been very privileged to work at the world's leading dance venues such as Ibiza's Pacha and Space and the Ministry of Sound, this will be a very different night with a community vibe. I intend to play soul music from the 60s to the noughties to reach everyone. As we say in the London DJ world, it will be sick beats all night.'
DJ Madhatter's first Soul Night session will be on Saturday 16 February from 7.30pm at The Belfry Centre, Overstrand and will run alternate months.
Madeline – a quarter of a quartet! Madeline Hudson, from Overstrand has a busy life.
She is a French teacher at the Belfry Arts Centre in Overstrand, an actress who has performed at both the Cromer Pavilion and at the Sheringham Little Theatre and a singer with the Walker Brothers of Norfolk, raising money for both local and national charities.
Her next production combines her skills as an actress and a singer as she takes the role of Jean in the production of Quartet. Jean is an opera singer, a world-renowned soprano…. at least she was. She suddenly stopped singing
New Group for Men at Hospice
The Day Therapy team within The Norfolk Hospice are pleased to announce the start of a 6 week group predominantly aimed at men. The aim is to give attendees the opportunity to re-establish lost hobbies, gain new ones and to do something practical, productive, and creative whilst giving them a sense of meaning and purpose.
A range of activities is planned to suit a variety of abilities. This will include upcycling and repurposing small furniture, children’s table and chairs, small benches etc. They will also be using pre-cut timbers, produced by the King’s Lynn Men’s Shed, to make bird boxes. Attendees will be able to use wood crafting kits and learn marquetry in the sessions.
This is a pilot group being trailed in preparation for the
and no one knows why. When she arrives at a home for retired performers, she finds that not only is her ex-husband there, but two other opera singers with whom she has sung in the past. The four opera singers are pressured to sing a quartet from Verdi’s Rigoletto, which they sang together in the past, in a concert to raise money for their retirement home, but Jean absolutely refuses. Will they persuade her to sing? Will Madeline have to learn to sing opera? All will be revealed in this humorous but poignant play.
Quartet is a Little Theatre Players production and will be on at the Sheringham Little Theatre from Thursday 21 March to Saturday 23 March. Tickets are £12 from the Theatre Box office 01263 761468 www.sheringhamlittletheatre.com launch of a range of therapies in a new large garden building which has recently received planning permission for the Hospice site in Hillington.
Lyndsay Carter, Chief Executive said “We are really looking forward to being able to expand our therapy services later this year. Our Day Therapy Unit provides people with a wide range of rehabilitative therapies helping them live as well as possible for as long as possible.”

WHY CHOOSE WHY CHOOSE SILVER SILVER & WARD WARD SOLICITORS SOLICITORS in in 2019? 20 19 ?
“It’s a recurrent misconception that a larger firm is better.”
I am Clare Mayell and I own Silver and Ward Solicitors in Sheringham. I am an extremely competent and experienced solicitor. I appreciate that any time of the year can be a difficult time fo or many people to resolve legal issues of worry and concern, for example, making a will or Lasting Power of Attorney. As I have worked for 2 larger local firms I know what clients want and expect. My charges are significantly less than other solicitors in North Norfolk or Norwich and I provide 22 years of expertise and exceptional service. I pride myself in being one of the only solicitors who offffers a FREE FIRST APPOINTMENT, so clients can come in and obtain some initial advice and discuss costs and then make an informed decision. At a larger firm you just pay more. When a client rings or walks through the door they invariably get to speak to me as this personal and direct approach is important to my clients and I. I ensure complete confidentiality is an absolute priority. I advise new clients to “shop around” as I know that my charges are significantly less than other solicitors but I can offer the same expertise, if not better. I have and can act for clients across Norrffolk and the Country as we now have the use of Skype, emails etc. so it enables me to act for clients further afield. The reason that clients, near and far, instruct Silver and Ward is because of my expertise, exceptional service and competitive costs.
“I would say to any potential client with a legal issue or worry in 2019 to come and meet me face to face for a FREE FIRST APPOINTMENT, as you have nothing to lose but all to gain.
Home visits can be arranged or appointments outside of office hours including Saturdays. 01263 0 1263 8 823465 23465 or email clare@silverandward.co.uk

Our Junior members receive coaching and help with their games, and are also encouraged to play against senior members and are often given the chance to play in the senior teams. There were four sections which were

Animal Magic Dog Club Where there is a will there is a way Pagan my lovely cocker spaniel is now 11 years old, he has so many things wrong with him that I was told it was unlikely he would live past 5 years old. He was a fantastic puppy, so clever and by the time he was one he was doing agility, dancing and gundog classes. Then things started to go wrong, he seemed to lose interest in everything and his temperament went down hill fast. As you can imagine many visits were made to the vets who could find nothing wrong with him and they suggested he was depressed.
At this time I had decided to work in Spain for January and February so I could afford to keep paying the overheads for Animal Magic Dog Club while we were shut for the winter. So Kathy (Club Secretary) and I drove to Spain neither of us having done hardly any driving abroad! We got there safely after many adventures and booked in with the local vet who immediately diagnosed Pagan as being virtually blind due to a vitamin E deficiency. Apparently it is quite common in cockers and if he had been blood tested as a puppy his sight
could have been saved by vit E supplementation. But there was no turning back the clock and to save the tiny bit of sight he had he started on a regime of vit E every day. The condition also effected the stability of his joints and his ability to process information so special joint and brain supplements joined the regime. To adapt to the new regime all our training now included sound and scent work and soon he was doing a 24 obstacle agility course and dances.
A few years passed where things seemed to be stable then all of a sudden he was so tired he couldn't put one foot in front of the other. As I have a thyroid problem I took him to the vet and said I think my dog has a thyroid problem. “Why do you think that” asked the vet? “Because he looks as tired as me” I replied! And yes he did have a thyroid problem so more tablets to add to mix and a fantastic improvement in energy and a much sweeter temperament. But in all of this Pagan has stoically soldiered on and thoroughly enjoyed life, always demanding meals on time and always loving new adventures. But
as ever just when you think all is OK he lost his hearing. We had a few weeks where the world tilted but by changing his training to include touch and telepathy we are up and running again. So here we are in Spain where we still train in the winter. Pagan can negotiate and enjoy most things but finds too much road work will make him go lame. So Aunty Kathy (Club Secretary) to the rescue by lending us a doggy pushchair which means we can go for miles off lead on the soft and in the buggy on the hard.
So no matter what life throws at you and your dog, always remember where there is a will there is a way. And if you buy a cocker or poodle puppy insist on a blood test for Vitamin E deficiency as soon as possible as you could prevent your dog going blind. Best Wishes, Bronwen Bell-Batchelor, Club Manager
Activities on offer for children in Cromer, North Walsham and Stalham during February half term
A week of fun activities to keep children active during the break are available to book now
North Norfolk District Council is putting on another round of popular, great value Kids’ Zone activities across its dualuse sports centres at Cromer, North Walsham and Stalham during the February half term break (18 – 22 February).
The sessions will offer healthy and fun activities in a safe environment and are delivered by experienced instructors for youngsters aged between 7 and 12 as well as Junior days and mornings for our younger Kids’ Zone attendees (4 - 7 years).
Hedgehog Haven
Shelly is the first new arrival of 2019.
She was found a day before the cold snap arrived and came in from Greatt Yarmouth. Her finders were quite happy to bring her to me. She's an older lady who is underweight. She was very hungry and is eating her way through a tin of cat food a night. Despite keeping the hogspital temperature at 65F some of the larger hogs are not emerging at night to eat - because of the warmth they will not go into proper hibernation and will only sleep for a few nights before waking again for food.
A fundraising coffee morning is being held at Swanton Abbot Village on Saturday 16 March from 10am to 12noon.
Football Fun Day, Street Dance and Multisports are just some of the activities on offer between Monday 18 and Friday 22 February at Cromer, North Walsham and Stalham sports centres.
All-day activities are priced at £10 and half day activities £5.
Tickets can be booked now via our online booking service at www.north-norfolk.gov.uk/book where the Kids’ Zone brochure outlining all the activities on offer is also available for download.
For further details call Colin Brown, Sports and Countryside Manager, on 01263 516001.

North Norfolk District Council hosts its latest art exhibition
Amelia in her studio
Amelia Mills’ work is now on display at the Council’s First Floor Gallery
North Norfolk District Council is showcasing the work of local artist Amelia Mills in the First Floor Gallery at its Cromer offices from until 1 March. After a period of travel in Australia and New Zealand, Amelia has returned
home to the North Norfolk coast to pursue her love of painting abstract art. Inspired by the ocean and aerial landscapes, she creates vibrant and dynamic paintings by pouring and manipulating artist resin mixed with acrylics on to handmade wooden panels.
Having been largely self-taught, she has spent many years developing and experimenting with her way of working. Her unique style is gaining continuing interest from collectors and art lovers around the world and in 2017 Amelia was commissioned by British Airways to create a cover for their First Class magazine.
The First Floor Gallery is open to the public 8.30am-5pm Mon, Tues and Thurs; 10am-5pm Wed; and 8.30am4.30pm Fri.
Amelia said “I am endlessly fascinated by the organic shapes found in nature, whether microscopic complexities or wider aerial views. The latest influence for my current body of work is the sea with its ever-changing and contrasting nature.”
North Norfolk District Council seeks to offer free opportunities to local artists to display their work in the well-lit gallery, and in turn provides staff and visitors the opportunity to see a variety of artists’ work. Six exhibitions are held annually. To find out more about Amelia’s work visit her website ameliamills.com or search ‘Amelia Mills Art’ on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Beware of the Dog
I heard about some robberies In my local neighbourhood, So I thought I would protect myself And my house, the best I could. I barred all doors and apertures, I used ten planks of wood! I blocked and taped and reinforced Everything I could. I put up signs outside the house To warn, ‘Beware - Wild Dog! A savage beast lives in this house, Mad as any Hog!’ I thought I’d give fair warning, ‘Cos he patrols my garden’s edge, He may only be a Yorkie, But he’ll reach their meat and veg!

We walked a while by the river Quite a few boats passing by Quite a strong breeze but a clear sky She just bent over to kiss me I quickly held her hand I said ‘oh please don’t do that You just don’t understand My real true love has passed away And with the angels up above I hope to meet her again one day And enjoy our perfect love So let’s just stay together And be the best of friends Enjoy each other’s company Until our journey ends’. Canal Trust gets the Sack - 500 times!
A delivery of 500 hessian sacks – enough to keep Santa happy for several decades - is helping maintain part of Norfolk’s heritage, and allowing the public to enjoy the results.

“Bank maintenance on any canal is essential and these bags are being used to build up the sides of the banks above Ebridge Lock, which then provide ‘walls’ for an infill of de-silted material from the canal,” he added.

The trust welcomes volunteers of all ages and abilities to help bring Norfolk's only sailing canal with locks back into use. Its next major project is to restore Ebridge Lock.

New opportunities for therapeutic riding in North Norfolk
Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is pleased to announce the setting up of two new RDA Groups covering the wider North Norfolk Area.
At RDA, our horses and ponies provide therapy, achievement and enjoyment to people with disabilities all over the UK. Our network of 500 volunteer groups organise activities such as riding, carriage driving, vaulting and show jumping to over 25,000 people
each year. Now riders in the North Norfolk area will have the opportunity to choose between two newly created groups.
Norfolk Coast RDA is based at North Norfolk Riding Centre, Walsingham

and Worstead and District RDA rides at Squirrelwood Equestrian Centre, Hall Farm, Worstead.
Peter Tobitt, Norfolk County Chairman for RDA commented “It is so exciting to see the expansion of riding opportunities in this geographical area. The two new Groups are run by trustee boards and volunteers with a wealth of experience who are looking to expand the possibilities for their riders. I am confident that each Group is now ideally placed to achieve this and help even more riders achieve their goals.”
Previously the whole area was served by one group, North Norfolk RDA, which operated very successfully for 43 years from a number of riding stables, most recently Squirrelwood at Weybourne. Adult and child riders came from various special needs schools and care facilities as well
as on a private basis.
Now the same trustees and experienced volunteers who ran North Norfolk RDA have taken the positive step to turn one group into two – enabling them to support a much wider area. Existing riders have already been accommodated at the new groups, which are also seeking new riders.
Each RDA Group is entirely staffed by unpaid volunteers and they hope to recruit more volunteers to help with this very rewarding equine therapy which benefits the riders so much in so many ways.
For further information about riding or volunteering with either of these groups, please contact either Worstead & District RDA Priscilla McDougall norfolkworsteadrda@gmail.com 01263 577247 or Norfolk Coast RDA Amanda Brownlow norfolkcoastrda@gmail.com 01263 740446
Outdoor fun for ages three and up over half term at Holt Country Park North Norfolk District Council are hosting two interactive events for children
The NNDC rangers at the Green flag awarded Holt Country Park will be putting on a ‘Mini Beast Hunt and Wildlife Discovery’ as well as a ‘Shelter building, Hot choc and Marshmallows’ session over February half term to engage children in the creatures that live in the woodland and to offer them the opportunity to interact with the materials available.
The ‘Mini Beast Hunt and Wildlife Discovery’ will be held on Tuesday 19th February at 10am – 12pm offering a morning of woodland exploration, searching for mini beasts and discovering what wildlife can be
found in the park. All equipment will be provided.
The second session, ‘Shelter building, Hot choc and Marshmallows’ is all about using the materials available in the woodland to build a shelter and takes place on Thursday 21st February at 1pm – 3pm with hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows to enjoy at the end of the session.
Cllr Hilary Cox MBE, NNDC Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and Licensing said: “Holt Country Park is such a wonderful place to have fun at any time but especially these events over the half term holiday, come along and enjoy.”
Both events are just £3 per child, parents go free and must accompany children throughout.
You can pre-book your tickets and parking spaces for these events at north-norfolk.gov.uk/book now.
The park has a visitor centre with toilets, a car park with disabled parking bays (all spaces cost £2 per day) and way-marked routes suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Car parking spaces are limited and you are advised to pre-book via the online
booking system. If all car parking spaces are sold but entry tickets are still available, you are welcome to join us for the event but you will not be able to park on site.

Monthly Horoscope for March 2019 by Claire Manion Astrologer
Aries - 21st March - 20th April You are entering a new long term phase as Uranus leaves your sign to make way for Chiron the healer. This is the time to take a deep breath, slow down and appreciate the good things in life, such as your friends, the new season and your birthday.
Taurus - 20th April - 21st May Uranus the awakener enters your sign on March 6th so if you have fallen into a rut, stand by - it’s time for a shake up. Make plans, as although they are likely to change, at least you will have a strategy in place and won’t be caught napping.
Gemini - 21stMay - 21st June A new phase in your career requires adjustments and your usual approach may not work, so you need to be adaptable. Try trusting your gut and following your instincts; things will work out, but maybe not quite as you’d planned.
Cancer - 22nd June -22nd July This month your thoughts could be drifting towards freedom and adventure. So enjoy letting your imagination wander to dreams of distant shores. If you want to make them a reality, you’d best book that holiday.
Leo - 22nd July- 21st August With the warmer weather on its way, you may feel in a sociable and outgoing mood. This is a good time to dust
down your maps, get your sat nav charged up and go to visit those friends who haven’t seen for a while; they will be pleased to see you.
bigger picture and appreciate your achievements and the people who support you. It may be that you already have more than you realise.
Libra - 21st September- 21st October If you have been feeling a bit out of kilter, the full moon in your sign on the 21st will help to shine a light on what needs to change. Working in close quarters with a significant other will help you to restore your balance so you can feel more energised and ready for the spring.
Aquarius - 20th January - 18th February You could be quite in demand socially as your accepting nature is always welcome, so get out and have a bit of fun. With an eye on the longer term, your ruler Uranus moves into Taurus so look out for changes especially in your routines and home life.
Virgo - 21st August- 21st September Your finances are in the spotlight this month, a review and some adjustments may be required. Remember to look at joint financial matters too, as they could be beneficial, but make sure you scrutinise the details closely before you commit to anything.
Scorpio - 21st October- 21st November Around the new moon on the 6th your creative projects will receive some much needed inspiration. Being open to innovative ideas and thinking them through thoroughly will aid the process. Following this through with steady effort will yield the results you require.
Sagittarius - 21st November- 21st December It is worth curbing any impulse you may have to rush off at the drop of a hat. Instead, take time to look at the
Capricorn - 21st December – 20th January Don’t be surprised if siblings or neighbours come knocking on your door. Offer them a cuppa, a sympathetic ear and have some tissues at the ready. Your calm, reassuring presence may be just what they need to get back on track.
Pisces - 19th February – 20th March A new phase is beginning for you and it looks good. You may find yourself acting as the messenger this month, bringing hope and inspiration to others. So lead them to a happy place where they can forget their troubles for a while.

Break-up without breaking down Rob Colwell, Director and Head of Family Services, Hayes + Storr
The frequency of separations at this time of year are well documented – family lawyers are inundated with new enquires between New Year’s Day and Valentine’s Day. Getting a divorce can have a major impact on your mental health, and an acrimonious or one sided break-up can result in serious consequences. Some will seek retribution, others won’t accept it, and some will find it difficult to imagine a future without their spouse.
Being mindful of a client’s mental well-being whilst ensuring we achieve the best possible results can be a careful balancing act. Our aim is to deliver an outcome which causes the least amount of distress in what is already a traumatic situation. The end of a relationship can be devastating, and no matter who ended it or when, life can feel empty and frightening – but life does continue and many people go on to live happy, fulfilled lives after divorce. That’s why we keep our clients focused on the future, encouraging them to avoid negative emotions and think practically about the potential outcomes.
The lawyers in the Family Services
department at Hayes + Storr are members of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems. Our team is guided by Resolution’s conciliatory and personcentred approach, including:
• Helping clients focus on what’s important in the long-term • Balancing financial and emotional costs with what the client wants to achieve • Working with others to find the right approach and the best solutions • Managing stress in what can sometimes be a very stressful situation
lots of helpful resources, and don’t forget you can call the Samaritans free of charge at any time on 116123. They offer 24/7 support every single day of the year and you don’t have to be suicidal to get in touch. You can also get a referral from your GP for free counselling sessions on the NHS. A break-up can be hard to manage, so speaking with health professionals to develop coping strategies can be very helpful.
If you’re concerned about yourself or anyone else going through divorce or separation, we recommend visiting the Relate website at www.relate.org.uk for

Not only does this practical approach facilitate our clients’ ability to cope, it also ensures costs are kept as low as possible, avoiding entrenched arguments that have no resolve. Our goal is to help clients adapt to their new situation and look for alternative solutions to court proceedings, avoiding unnecessary stress, costs and delays.

Helping Harry
Two-year-old Harry Deeba is cheeky and full of mischief. He’s active and full of energy, choosing to run everywhere rather than walk! He loves planes, helicopters, diggers and ‘nee-naws’ – any vehicle with a siren.
This amazing little boy was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma in January 2018, turning his family’s world upside down.
With Harry nearing the end of his frontline treatment, everyone is hopeful he will be in remission when he has his next scans in April. But
neuroblastoma is a particularly aggressive childhood cancer, almost 50% of children diagnosed will relapse at some point, and when that happens, less than one in ten survive.
So Harry’s parents, Carly and Ali, are appealing for your support. They need to raise £239,000 by the end of April to access a vaccine in New York that’s showing promising signs in reducing the chances of relapse, giving Harry the best chance at living cancer-free.
There are many ways you can help Harry - by making a personal donation, holding a fundraising event, getting sponsored to take on a challenge or simply by following and sharing Harry’s story through his Facebook page. You can also make a donation via his Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/harrydeeba , or if you’d prefer to text donate, text HADE99 and your amount £1 – £10 to 70070.

Age is no handicap for 90-year-old golfer John
John Titley – Mundesley’s 90-year-old golfer (Photo: Richard Batson)
John Titley is a walking advertisement for keeping active in later life – for the golfer who plays two or three times a week has just marked his 90th birthday.
The retired aviation electronics engineer once worked on the world’s first ever jet airliner, the De Havilland Comet, as well as space rockets.
And his sporting hobby is still flying high too as a regular member of the seniors section at Mundesley Golf Club in his home village.
that is more important to him these days.
“I have always believed that if you feel fit enough you should keep playing – whether you are 50 or 90. Sometimes I still walk with an electric trolley rather than ride in a buggy, and am sometimes tired coming up the final hill on the 18th hole, but I really enjoy playing here and meeting my friends,” he explained. “I am not ready to put my feet up yet – it can be a downward spiral,” added Mr Titley, who has also had treatment for oesophageal cancer and been given the all clear. ”I just get on with it – and I like being active - golfing, gardening and washing the car.”
Club professional Ryan Pudney said “John is a great advert for playing and taking up golf in later life – not just for the activity but for the social benefits it can bring.”
Mr Titley joined the club in 1996 after retiring to North Norfolk. His handicap is now 27.5 having been 18 at its best – but it is the exercise and friendship

Group of Norfolk and Suffolk MPs call upon NHS Improvement and other key NHS organisations to publish plan for failing mental health Trust.
that the Trust’s performance had actually deteriorated. It highlighted over 60 ‘must-do’ actions for the Trust to take, some dating back to 2014.
Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is the worst performing mental health trust in England. The Trust, which was placed into special measures in October 2017, was rated in November by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as ‘inadequate’ for the third time.
A group of Norfolk and Suffolk MPs have now come together to ask for reassurance to be given to those who rely on mental health services in the region, and their families. The MPs’ letter calls out the ‘unacceptable drift’ surrounding the management of the Trust’s circumstances, and demands the publication of a plan by no later than 20th February.
of whisky he left on the bar.
The Club has also celebrated the 90th birthday of long-standing women’s member and former club ladies captain Molly Johns, who also ran the Norfolk Ladies Golf Captain Society for 26 years.
She used to commute from her home in Thorpe, until ill health forced her to stop playing six months ago. But she remains an honorary member at Mundesley and is a social member at Eaton Golf Club where her son Peter is manager. Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust : MPs demand concerning this is for patients and staff in end to ‘chaos and confusion’ particular, and the rest of the public. Following a briefing meeting for MPs which took place last month, a cross-party group of Norfolk and Suffolk MPs have asked NHS Improvement and other key organisations involved in the future of the Trust to provide guidance as to their plans.
The CQC’s report highlighted the failings of the mental health services, reporting cases of patients who while waiting for treatment had taken their own lives, and concluded
Since the publication of the report, there have been reports of plans to split up the Trust, with others arguing that it should continue, but no clarity about the way forward.
Norman Lamb MP said ‘The lack of information regarding plans for Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust has gone on for far too long. It’s difficult to understate how

We have a Trust which has been rated inadequate for a third time. The fact that the performance of the Trust has deteriorated since it went into special measures in 2017 brings into question the effectiveness of NHSI as a regulator. How have they allowed this to happen?
Clearly, urgent action is needed. That’s why I’m working with a group of Norfolk and Suffolk MPs from different parties to demand a plan. We may have a range of views about what should happen to the Trust, but what’s important is that we’ve come together from the local area and all agree that NHS Improvement, and the other key organisations involved, have had enough time to figure out what steps to take. Providing certainty for all those people who are worried about the Trust is the least that can be done at this stage.’
