Happy Christmas North Walsham North Walsham Christmas Light Switch On took place on Saturday 30 November with the switch on being performed at 6pm by the Funday's Carnival Queen Chloe Kidd.

Stalls and rides filled the town centre as townsfolk were entertained by young singer Maisy Hart, NWHS choir, band Uncreative Love, Invidia Choir, Salvation Army leading the carol singing and singer Ellie Diss. Father Christmas made an appearance riding down the town on his sleigh before making his way to his grotto.

Chairman of the Christmas Lights Group Colin Jeary said 'It takes a year’s worth of planning to organise the event and six Sunday mornings to erect all the lights before the switch on. We are very lucky to have recruited several new volunteers this year which has meant the lights have gone up quicker.

Each year around 250 volunteer hours are spent on the town’s lights, to make sure the town shines over the Christmas period. Council tree planting initiative Council scheme to plant 110,000 trees in 4 years

North Norfolk District Council is pleased to announce its support for National Tree Week as part of its ambition to plant 110,000 trees – one for every person in North Norfolk – over the next four years. The announcement is part of NNDC’s appeal to get members of the public and community groups involved with the tree planting initiative.

NNDC launched the scheme at its annual Greenbuild environmental sustainability event in September and the Council has already made significant progress towards achieving this ambitious goal. 10,000 trees will be planted in the Council’s award winning Holt Country Park and woodland areas and almost 1,000 saplings were given away by the Woodland Trust at Greenbuild for residents to plant. The Council is partnering with the Woodland Trust as its main supplier of trees for the scheme and is looking to involve members of the public and community groups with the planting of the trees.

Nick Sandford, Regional external affairs officer at the Woodland Trust said “The Woodland Trust is delighted to work with North Norfolk Council as it responds to the climate and nature emergency we all face. It’s hugely important local authorities lead the way, and North Norfolk’s trailblazing target of planting a tree for every local resident over the next four years is something councils across England should look to follow. Trees are amazing for their ability not just to remove and lock up carbon from the atmosphere, but in offering a home for wildlife and a green place we can all go to and enjoy. We need more of them and what North Norfolk Council is doing is a great start.”

Last month saw the first two trees planted at the Council’s office in Cromer to symbolically mark the commencement of the scheme by Leader of the Council Sarah Bütikofer, Chair of the Council Cllr. Clive Stockton and Senior Countryside Supervisor Anne-Marie Gedge.

Cllr. Nigel Lloyd, Environment Portfolio Holder at NNDC said ‘NNDC declared a climate emergency in April and planting trees to help take carbon out of the atmosphere is a key initiative in our journey to becoming a carbon neutral council by 2030. We hope to engage with communities across the district to help us achieve our goal of planting a tree for every resident over the next four years and, at the same time, we are proud to support National Tree Week in partnership with the Woodland Trust.’

“Norfolk Trees from Norfolk Seed” in Holt Country Park on Saturday 30 November between 10am-12pm. The NNDC Countryside Rangers are keen to see as many people, of all ages, joining them in the park to collect seeds and receive advice and information on how to plant and care for them. Other events will follow over the tree planting season. Further information on these, and the wider tree planting initiative, can be found via the NNDC website (www.north-norfolk.gov.uk/trees).

NNDC was the first local authority in Norfolk to declare a climate emergency, and the tree-planting scheme is one of the Council’s many other environmental initiatives, which also includes the installation of Electric Vehicle Chargepoints on the Council’s car parks this winter and solar panels on the roof at the Council’s Cromer offices.

Financial Settlement on Divorce - what rights do I have? Whilst obtaining a divorce is often straightforward, agreeing what is going to happen to the family finances is usually more complicated. Although the divorce and finances are technically two separate sets of proceedings, they are usually looked at alongside one another.

When it comes to pensions on divorce there are different options but the most common are pension sharing and pension offsetting. Pension sharing is where one party’s pension is split and a percentage transferred to the other spouse to “top up� their pot, usually either to equalise pension values or income upon retirement. Pension offsetting is the idea that cash is received now instead of a pension share. Pensions can be complex assets and it is important that you seek specialist advice. However, the take away point is that former spouses may be entitled to a proportion of their spouse’s pension if they split up.

By the nature of being married, spouses have financial claims against one another until they are formally dismissed by the Court. It is important for parties to understand their rights and entitlements in advance as it can help in managing expectations and often speed up the process. It is hoped that at this stage, former spouses can really begin to think about the future, putting any conflict behind them. When looking at the finances, the first step is to ascertain what is in the family pot. This will include matrimonial assets. These are assets that were built up during the period of the marriage. These could include, but are not limited to, the family home, other properties, pensions, savings, investments, business assets and vehicles. Sometimes there are also non-matrimonial assets. These are financial assets which were acquired before or after the relationship, inheritances and gifts. There is scope for non-matrimonial assets to be treated differently, and potentially excluded, but it will depend on the individual circumstances of the case and often the party’s needs.

It is hoped that former spouses are able to come to an agreement about how the family finances are split, whether that is achieved by them discussing it directly, going to mediation or having negotiations

through solicitors. However, if former spouses cannot agree then they can ask the Court to make a decision, although this should be viewed as the last resort.

There is no hard and fast rule for calculating the financial settlement. Each case is judged on its own merits. The law focuses on achieving a fair outcome which can be very different from one family to the next, and whilst the starting point is 50/50, this doesn’t necessarily mean half and half. There will often be a range of different ways in which the assets can be divided and the advantages and disadvantages of those will need to be explored. It is also important for you to consider what your preferred option would be and the practicalities of that.

The Court’s first consideration is any minor children. The Court will want details about where and whom any children will be living so that this can be taken into account when looking at the type of housing required to meet their needs. The length of the marriage is also a key consideration. If the parties lived together prior to the marriage then this can be taken into account provided that it “flows seamlessly into marriage�. Age is also a factor along with income and earning capacity. For example, if one party is better equipped to “regenerate� their finances or meet their needs from their income then there may be an argument to say that they should receive less. The Court will also consider contributions made by the parties to the marriage. There is often a misconception that this simply relates to financial contributions. It is wider than that. It takes into account contributions to the family as a whole. For example, caring for children is clearly a vital and equal contribution.

One asset that often causes confusion is pensions and how they should be dealt with on a divorce. A survey recently carried out by Shoosmiths found that a third of married couples do not know about pension sharing on divorce. This is a worrying statistic, particular for women who separate after taking a career break to start a family, as this can have a huge impact when it comes to long term financial security. The research

Extra Lights Express

The North Norfolk Railway has reacted to the unprecedented demand for seats on the new Norfolk Lights Express by adding a further 10 trains. Demand for seats has outstripped all expectations with the initial 55 trains approaching full. The decision to add a further 10 trains was not taken lightly but the feedback from passengers travelling has been so enthusiastic that it was considered the additional trains would provide further opportunities for those not able to get a seat on the published programme. The Norfolk Lights Express which operates from Sheringham through to Holt and return offers the opportunity to experience an amazing light show which illuminates the landscape as the train meanders along the route. All this is set to music creating an enchanting evening experience. The train is covered with a Kilometre of rope lights and has around 2.5 miles of cabling to support them. Each train has seating for over 200 visitors. The services will now continue to operate through

to the 5th January 2020 offering a further 2000 seats for sale.

During the day the awardwinning heritage railway transports customers back in time on steam and diesel trains through some of North Norfolk’s most picturesque countryside, however as the light fades, the railway will be transformed as The Norfolk Lights Express steams into town on selected evenings during November and December.

The Norfolk Lights Express is one of a limited number of operations of this product and the only one taking place in East Anglia.

Hugh Harkett, Managing Director, who witnessed the secret trial operation back in June stated: “It was unbelievable. While the external view is incredible, the lighting and scenes along the track will, I am sure, make this a real trip to remember for our visitors of all ages. The train’s external lights provide amazing technicolour effects for passengers

The “Brilliant and Wonderful” Christmas Pageant comes back to Mundesley this year on Saturday 22 December at 4.45pm. The story of the first Christmas will be told through the streets of the village with the action starting at the Bowls Club Car Park and ending with Mary and her new baby inside the Coronation Hall.

The Norfolk Lights Express departs from Sheringham Station, each journey lasts 1 hour and 20 minutes. Tickets cost £15.00 per person. Please check www.nnrailway.co.uk for specific date and departure time information.

Local children are involved as the usual nativity animals and traditional characters so watch out for any small sheep drifting from the fold. The Pageant will wend its way from the Bowls Club down the High Street to the village Christmas tree, then continuing via the entrance to Gold Park and onward up Beach Road to the Coronation Hall.

The Mundesley Pageant is a tradition that was started back 2010 when Jo Berry first put the idea together. After being rested for a while, this free event has returned in the hands of Director Bev Reynolds and the Entertainments Committee of Mundesley Parish Council.

Everyone is invited into the hall to watch the final scene where traditional refreshments will be available.

The costumed actors and choir will be parading through the village inviting you to sing along with the carols and watch as the story unfolds.

Gerry Robins is the slightly evil King Herod who it’s best not to upset as he can turn rather nasty if crossed. The new script is by Nigel Holmes who is renowned for writing pantomimes that are performed all over the world, so expect the unexpected and occasional twist.

Country’s biggest New Year’s Day Firework display celebrates 21 years all eyes will be on the skies above Cromer pier on 1 January 2020 as the traditional new year’s Day firework display celebrates its 21st anniversary.

The event, which started as a one-off display for the new millennium in 2000, was funded by Cromer Town Council and was located on The Meadow - it was a success in terms of local support, and it raised a few hundred pounds for charity. Former Firework Committee Chairman Jim Bond said “This seemed to be an event that we could do every year, and the following year it attracted a larger crowd. After a few years, the display was moved onto the pier, thanks to North Norfolk District Council's support. It has gone on to attract larger and larger crowds, and consequently an increase in donations which helps pay for the following year's display and grants to local charities." Since 2000 the event has given out grants totalling over £60,000 to local charities and good causes.

Organisers hope as many people as possible will again come to Cromer for the day to see more than 3,000 firework shots light up the skies over the North Sea. Firework Committee Chairman Pat West said “As always, the advice is please arrive early and support the local businesses in town who do support the Fireworks committee. There are several exciting new sequences within the main display which will be new to Cromer this year and we are very excited to show these to everyone. As last year, there will be a torchlight parade from Cromer church before the display. We have a new route and for those who have purchased official merchandise there is a designated area with a grandstand view of the firework display.

The annual display attracts more than 10,000 people into Cromer on New Year’s Day with many spending the day in the town for a breath of fresh air and something to eat and drink before the display is fired from Cromer Pier at 5pm. Will Evans, Project Manager at Titanium Fireworks, said: “Titanium Fireworks are delighted to be firing again off Cromer pier on New Year’s Day 2020. This show is now a firm highlight in our calendar and the crowds it draws, and money it raises for the community, make it something special for us to play our part in. A local youngster will be leading the countdown as a thank you for the winning drawing she sent to the display organisers after the 2019 event and we will then start the main show and fill the skies above Cromer with an array of effects to wow the crowds and start the year with a bang. As always we would like to encourage those who can, to donate to the collectors around the town so that this event can continue to run and raise as much money as it can for the worthy causes in the area.”

The event is free, however there will be bucket collectors out in force on the day to fundraise for the 2021 display. The bucket collection at the 2019 display raised over a fantastic £10,000. Half of this was given out in grants to local good

causes and the balance has been used towards funding the 2019 display.

“Just a few coins can make a lot of difference to local charities and good causes – and without everyone’s help we couldn’t continue the annual display” said Pat West.

Merry Christmas From Toll Barn Vets!

Christmas is fun for all the family and that definitely includes all our pets! however, Christmas is often a busy time for our 24/7 on-site emergency service as there are plenty of hidden dangers lurking during the festivities which we should all be aware of to help keep our pets safe.

Christmas Cake, Christmas Pudding, Mince Pies and Fruit Bowls all contain raisins, sultanas or grapes. These should never be fed to pets as they can cause kidney damage and in severe cases kidney failure. They can also contain alcohol which can cause signs of intoxication as well as dangerous drops in blood sugar levels, blood pressure and body temperature. Not all dogs will be affected but there is no way of knowing which animals will suffer from toxicity so they are best completely avoided. Macadamia nuts can also be toxic causing neurological signs such as weakness, depression, tremors and vomiting within 12 hours of being eaten. Onions and garlic can also be harmful (even when cooked) with signs such as vomiting and diarrhoea and potentially destruction of red blood cells (haemolytic anaemia). Many Christmas dinners include sage and onion stuffing or onion based gravy so it is best to avoid giving these “left overs� to pets.

Chocolate decorations are frequently used on trees and in stockings. Chocolate contains a stimulant called theobromine (similar to caffeine) which is toxic to dogs. The amount of theobromine varies with the type of chocolate (dark chocolate contains the highest levels).

Depending on the amount and type of chocolate eaten signs range from vomiting and diarrhoea to wobbliness, seizures and changes in heart rhythm (arrhythmias). If your pet eats chocolate it is important to be able to tell your vet how much and what type of chocolate has been eaten as this will help us calculate whether a toxic dose has been reached. Some foods such as sugar free gum and diabetic biscuits contain xylitol. Xylitol is a naturally occurring sugar which is often used as a sweetener in low carbohydrate and diabetic products. When pets eat xylitol their blood sugar level can drop rapidly causing lethargy and weakness and in severe cases, seizures. Xylitol can also cause liver failure in some dogs. The signs of this can take several days to develop. We would advise urgent veterinary attention for any pet who is suspected to have eaten products containing xylitol.

Pets, especially dogs, have an exceptional sense of smell. This means they will often hunt out bones, foil or string with meat juices from the rubbish bin or counter tops. These bones are often brittle and splinter easily which can cause blockages or tears within the oesophagus and intestine whilst foil or string can cause obstructions within the stomach and intestine.

Many of these (and other) foods also contain high levels of fat. This can cause vomiting and diarrhoea and more seriously increases the risk of pancreatitis.

There are also several household dangers which are more common at Christmas. Tinsel and tree ornaments are particularly attractive play things to cats and puppies. If eaten these will often cause blockages and twists within the intestines of your pet requiring immediate surgery to remove the material. Christmas ornaments will also often break if played with by pets. This can cause choking, cuts within

the mouth and damage to the intestines if eaten. Christmas trees themselves are also potentially toxic with pine needles causing irritation of the mouth (which may show as excessive drooling), vomiting, diarrhoea and weakness. Naughty puppies and kittens have also been known to injure themselves climbing Christmas trees or knocking them over so it is always advisable to have a barrier to prevent access to the tree, as well as supervision!

Candles and fairy lights are always appealing to curious pets but can result in electrocution or burns. Make sure electric lights and candles are always placed out of reach of naughty paws! Heated oils create pleasant aromas around the house but can cause burns to the tongue and mouth if licked so make sure they are placed away from inquisitive animals.

Festive bouquets often include Lilies but ingestion of the plant or plant pollen can cause kidney failure in cats. If your cat comes into contact with Lilies and the pollen sticks to their fur immediately place a buster collar or t-shirt on the cat to prevent them licking and ingesting more pollen and contact your vet for advice. Holly, Mistletoe and Poinsettias are also toxic causing vomiting, diarrhoea and depression. Mistletoe has been known to cause collapse, changes in heart rate and erratic behaviour following ingestion. Poinsettia sap has irritant properties which can cause blistering of the mouth and stomach when eaten. We would recommend all plants are kept well out of reach of inquisitive pets!

Aylsham Singers’ Victorian Christmas Evening

the aylsham singers’ latest production gave an enthusiastic aylsham town hall audience an early taste of Christmas.

The concert included a wide variety of songs from the Victorian era including a flute solo of ‘Who Will Buy’ from Oliver (Csonger Papp), ‘Away in a Manger’ (Katie Berritt and Katy Rice), ‘O Holy Night’ (Malcolm Munday) and the whole choir singing ‘Here we come a-wassailing’ and ‘It came upon a midnight clear’ amongst others.

Throughout the evening, Julie Reeve provided narration about Victorian times in Aylsham and Viv Cairns (Musical Director) receiving introduced the audience to a bouquet from a street urchin! several characters who lived and worked in the Market Place in 1871 - enthusiastically played by members of the choir. The production was further enhanced by the cast dressed in Victorian costumes and the back-drop of Aylsham Town Hall’s beautiful Christmas lighting. Use of prompt cards to help the Viv Cairns (Musical Director) audience with the words for and Bernie Witcomb (choir ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’

member) were pleased by the audience’s reaction - with Bernie commenting “there were months of planning involved in putting on this production. Everyone involved was thrilled and relieved all the effort paid off so well.”

North Walsham and District Branch of Cats Protection

Bassanio has benefitted from taking a break from visits to see Toby, (his vet), and is looking much better and may even have put on some weight. Fingers crossed he continues to improve.

The pens from Briston will have been taken down and moved by the time you read this. Caroline and Holly are now eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first cats and we are delighted to have them on board. Marian was sorry to see the pens go but, as mentioned previously, will continue to support the cats at fund raising events. As a volunteer for over 12 years we thank Marian for all she has done for the cats in the past and look forward to seeing her at events in the future.

With another year nearly over and with so much happening since this time last year, it is time to reflect and also thank people who supported us.

Firstly, we thank our fosterers who care for the cats on a daily basis. Whatever the weather the cats are fed at least twice a day, water dishes refilled, litter boxes emptied cleaned and refilled and the pens swept and cleaned. They also welcome people to their homes to see the cats and offer advice when they are chosen.

Our vets, Bridge and Westover, provide excellent care for the cats while they are with us and are also two of the practices used by the branch for neutering ferals, of whom there have been many this year. We also thank all the volunteers who help in other ways, either fundraising, assisting with cat care, dealing with feral cats, or dealing with admin duties. It is nice to finish off Cluney, one of the older kittens in residence the year with some good news for one particular little cat and his family. Stephanie was contacted by someone who had seen a cat in their garden for some time and, as they had recently started to feed it, because it was eating from the bird table, were concerned for its welfare as they were going away. As they lived fairly near to me she asked me to go and scan to see it if was chipped. Fortunately it was, and as I have access to chip records, I went home to check them. The owners had moved to North Walsham, had registered their new address and, in fact, the cat was shown as missing. Unfortunately, there was no phone number so I contacted the company concerned and they gave permission for me to contact the owner in person. As Dave, had been missing since April, his owners were delighted to learn he was safe and he is now safely home again with his sister who had been missing him. A wonderful result, two families happy that the cat is now back in his home and one lucky cat whose owner registered their new address with the microchip company.

It’s a useful time just to remind everyone of a few of the things we must all be mindful of, especially at this time of year. Some of the gifts and treats that are in abundance around Christmas can be very toxic to our pets. Here’s a short list:

It’s also an opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of regular anti-parasite treatment. To a few people’s surprise we are seeing plenty of flea infestations through winter, largely down to central heating enabling fleas to breed year round. We are also seeing worm burdens as well.

One remarkable case came in last week in a patient that had been coughing for a couple of weeks. He was otherwise well, but the cough was not improving and x-rays showed marked inflammation within the lungs. The next stage in investigation was to use a very fine camera, known as an endoscope to look down the airways and obtain a sample.

My total in care is now 68.

The fundraising bingo was a big success. The total raised was an amazing £588! Thanks to everyone who came along, donated prizes and helped on the night. It will be used to provide food and meds over the coming winter months.

Samples confirmed the worms as an unusual form, known as fox lungworms, different from the lung worm you may have read about in the press. The patient has been treated with a different wormer and almost completely stopped coughing. It can be difficult to cover against every eventuality, but it underlines the importance of regularly treating all our pets for fleas and worms.

The latest arrival is Cracker who came in on 6 December at only 240 gms. These little ones are using up all their energy just keeping warm with no chance of gaining enough weight for hibernation.

FUNDING OF PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS

One of the main concerns that people have when seeking legal advice is about the cost involved. Legal Aid is only available for very limited cases of medical negligence and therefore cases needs to be funded in other ways.

I am Keely Dougan and I am an Associate at Hansells. I am married with 2 sons aged 10 and 14 who keep me busy. We enjoy amateur dramatics and are members of our local drama group. We also enjoy going to the theatre and spending time together.

Fortunately in Personal Injury claims this does not mean you will have to pay by the hour or even pay anything up front. This is a brief summary of the main ways to fund a claim but at Hansells we are happy to discuss the options before committing to any form of funding.

I have worked at Hansells for 8 years. I specialise in Personal Injury law and I have almost 20 years’ experience in this area of law. I deal with most areas of personal injury law including road traffic accidents, accidents at work and tripping accidents.

Legal Expense Insurance

Many people pay extra to have legal expense insurance on their car and home insurance. It is always advisable to check your policies as some insurers include it for free and you may not be aware you have it. The types of policy that may have legal expenses insurance are:

Conditional Fee Agreements (CFA)

This sort of agreement is also known as a ‘No Win, No Fee’ agreement. If your claim is funded by way of a CFA you do not pay any costs if your claim is unsuccessful (unless your claim is shown to be dishonest or fraudulent) but if your claim is successful you agree to pay a “success fee” to Hansells which can be anything up to 25% of your compensation.

• Household contents insurance documents • Household buildings insurance documents • Motor insurance documents • Any other insurance documents which you or other members of your household have which may include any legal expense cover. (This may include credit cards.)

If you do have legal expense insurers then the insurance company may try and insist you use their panel solicitors. You do not necessarily have to do this and we have worked with a number of insurers who have allowed us to represent client’s under the legal expense policy.

We recommend taking out insurance to protect against any adverse cost orders and to cover expenses of the claim such as the cost of obtaining a medical report. The premium for this policy is again only payable in the event of a successful claim and premiums start at £75. We will discuss all the terms of the agreement and insurance before you sign the agreement so you can ensure you are happy with everything before you proceed.

We are always happy to contact insurers to GLVFXVV handling the claim for you and to fill in the claim forms that will completing before they will make a decision on Damage-Based Agreements (DBA) whether they will fund the claim. Age is no barrier to golf success at Mundesley

Trophy-winners aged from 12 to 89 picked up their prizes at Mundesley Golf Club’s presentation night.

The eldest was Derek Rush, who has won many trophies during his 62 years’ membership at Mundesley, but declared winning the Jubilee Shield winter pairs competition with his grandson Ben Smith as one of the highlights.

North Walsham Table Tennis Alpha Advance

In the quarter-final of the Knockout Singles Cup Aylsham Hathor's Ray Gale, Peter Ward and Rob Ollman hosted North Walsham Alpha with the visiting trio of Robin Thaxter, Richard Westgate and Tom Baldock-Yaxley taking a 3-0 lead with no sets dropped. Ward then took the first from Thaxter 11-9 before the Alpha hit back to win in four, before Baldock-Yaxley sealed a place in the semi-final with a 14-12 in the third defeat of Gale. Elsewhere Aylsham Enterprise gained a walkover against North Walsham Beta.

In the Premier Division, North Walsham Cobra's Phil Stone and Robert and Marceli Gabriel hosted Aylsham Hathor's Ray Gale, Peter Ward and Robbie Ollman. Gale took a brace beating both Stone and Marceli Gabriel

in four, but losing in straight to maximum man Robert Gabriel who hit some phenomenal shots. Cobras won the rest of the encounters to take the match 8-2 with Ollman picking up a set from Stone and the final two battles being the closest – Stone recovered from 8-10 in the third and 2-5 in the fifth as he beat Ward 11-4, 4-11, 14-12, 5-11, 11-6 before the Gabriel's won the doubles also in five against Gale and Ward.

The adjoining table saw another North Walsham versus Aylsham battle, this time in the Second Division as Foxtrot's Henry Stoker, Joe English, Tom Wardle and David Binns hosted Norada's John Hall, Sally Homfray-Davies and Tom Mountain. In the first their unbeaten record, stretching back to March, ended when they lost 29 -31 at Harpenden. They’ve bounced back impressively though, beating Amersham at home 32 -7 and Southend away 32-10. The latter was particularly impressive as there were some regulars missing and the hosts had won their last five. After 12 matches (14 left) the Vikings had 56 points, ten more than second placed Colchester. The squad has been strengthened by New Zealander Axel Hohneke (second/back row) and return of Will Hodgson.

The Raiders have a good chance of finishing second in Eastern Counties One (North), so qualifying for the top

Eastern Counties Division which is played in the last third of the season. In their most recent match they beat Diss Saracens 28 -18.

The Valkyries Girls teams (pictured) are going from strength to strength both in numbers and quality. They play in three age groups -Under 13s/15s/18s. As well as local fixtures they play at a Eastern Counties Development Festival each month. The Youth teams are well into the league phases of the Norfolk and Eastern Counties Cups with good results. Five Under 16s Harry Kitson, James Mountfield, Max Murray, Billy Tait & Harry Turner - were in the Norfolk side for a tri-tournament with Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, whilst Henly Brightman and Josh Sangyang played for Eastern Counties Under 18s in their 43 -5 victory over Essex. Shelford visit Scottow this Saturday (21st), following home fixture is Haberdashers 11 January.

North Norfolk Vikings

North Norfolk Vikings were in action earlier this month at the Winter Wipeout meet held at the UEA Sports Park in Norwich.

The Vikings took a small team of three boys and eight girls who over the weekend competed in 50 individual events, coming away with 36 personal best times and seven gold, three silver and four bronze medals. Also one regional time.

North Norfolk Vikings next competition is in January at the Norfolk County championships held at the UEA Sports Park.
