Sheringham Carnival Parade 2019
The 7th of August saw the triumphant return of Sheringham Carnival. A crowd of thousands came to view the event and its vivid and creative selection of carnival floats. There was plenty of novelty and festive spectacle to be seen this year. Llamas, opulent costumes, street dancers, nymphs and faeries, people on stilts, a marching band with bagpipes, ghostbusters, pull-along soapboxes with bubbles, and of course the magnificent Puppet Elephants provided by the Carnival Association and Norwich City Council. The sinkhole could not stop the fun. Town Mayor Madeleine Ashcroft has said the Carnival has gone a notch higher this year. Continued on page 4...
