SDS Rx manages your entire delivery and logistic operation by enhancing your current delivery capability while reducing cost to service.
Testimonials
Don’t take our word for it. Learn about our track record of satisfying customers firsthand — in their words.
“ My team has noticed a boost in driver moral since the conversion. SDS’s onsite management staff has been very supportive in driving change within the drivers.”
— Distribution Center Manager
“ During a snowstorm that enveloped much of our area we had a driver who went above and beyond what was called for given the circumstances. His vehicle slid off the road on the way to his last stop, sustaining damage to the front end, and a tow truck was needed to pull him out and tow him back. Instead of bringing the drugs back to the pharmacy, he walked in the snowstorm one mile to complete the last delivery and one mile back to his vehicle to wait for the tow truck.”
— Pharmacy Operations Manager
“ Keep up the great work and please pass this ‘thank you’ on to our driver as it is important to know that what you do each day is recognized and truly appreciated by all involved.”

Statinzyme by Prescription Vitamins LLC Statinzyme is an advanced patent pending supplemental formula that was developed by a pharmacist to help prevent and relieve the harmful side effects of Statins and Beta Blockers. Company Background Statinzyme is a supplemental formula that was developed by Dr. Paul Faerstein, the owner of Zuckerman Pharmacy in Brooklyn, New York. As a second-generation pharmacist, Dr. Faerstein is keenly aware of the drug nutrient depletion side effects caused by statins and routinely recommends dietary supplements to his customers to help reduce and prevent those side effects. Often he found himself recommending 9 or more products that ended up costing his patients hundreds of dollars. Recognizing an opportunity and frustrated by the lack of an affordable solution in the marketplace, Dr. Faerstein decided to create it himself, and Statinzyme was born. Product Overview Statinzyme was developed by a doctor of pharmacy to reduce and aid in the prevention of side effects resulting from the use of cholesterol lowering medications. Such side effects may include muscle pain, muscle cramping, joint pain, mental confusion, memory loss, depression and liver damage. Numerous medical studies show that cholesterol-lowering medications may deplete your body of many essential vitamins and nutrients necessary to prevent side effects. The ingredients in Statinzyme are designed to replenish the vitamins and nutrients when taken in combination with your statin medication. A daily serving of 2 enteric-coated softgels will allow your medicine to work effectively while protecting your body from the side effects. There is evidence that the nine (9) ingredients in Statinzyme may also further reduce the risks of heart attacks and strokes. Statinzyme is made in the USA In a National Science Foundation (NSF) certified and
FDA audited facility that is compliant with the principles and guidelines of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Statinzyme’s ingredients are valued at over $100. Statinzyme retails for only $39.99.
Testimonials “ Statinzyme is a fantastic product that I recommend to all my patients taking statin drugs, and I also take it personally! The feedback has been very positive from everyone who has tried it. Please take a moment to check out the list of ingredients included in just 2 capsules, and you too will see the incredible value of Statinzyme!”
— Henry McGill, RPh Chancy Drugs
“ Cardiac disease is one of the major causes of death and disability in the United States and around the world. It dramatically decreases the quality of life in patients, even on an appropriate medication schedule that includes statins and beta blockers. These medications can be accompanied by undesirable side effects. The nutritional formula called Statinzyme has been developed to reduce the risks of heart attacks and strokes in patients taking cardiac medications. Its’ ingredients have been clinically proven to reduce muscle pain, muscle cramping, joint pain, mental confusion, memory loss and liver damage, associated with statin and beta blocker medications. Statinzyme can become an important component of a treatment plan increasing patient’s compliance and quality of life, while providing multi-organ nutrient support.”

Company Background Three decades ago, a physician encountered a patient who required an anti-nausea medication that was no longer commercially available. The physician challenged a Houston area pharmacist to compound the medication. The prescription was a success, and the pharmacist saw that others in his field faced similar demands to help patients who required compounded medications. This network of pharmacists, united by a commitment to meet patient needs, was the foundation of PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America). Today, PCCA has become the independent compounding pharmacist’s complete resource for fine chemicals, equipment, devices, flavors, ACPE-accredited training and education, pharmacy software, marketing, business and pharmacy consulting assistance. Our membership includes more than 3,900 independent community pharmacists in the United States, Canada, Australia, and other countries around the world.

Because of this dedication to you and your practice, PCCA rejects over 180 chemical lots a year. Exclusive, Proven Bases and Formulas
As a member, you’ll have access to more than 50 proprietary bases unavailable to other compounders. From VersaBase® topicals, specifically designed for BHRT delivery, to Lipoderm®, the industry’s only transdermal proven to deliver four drugs simultaneously, you will differentiate yourself amongst your competitors and give your patients and practitioners the confidence to keep coming back to you. Members and consultants also have access to a database of more than 8,000 active proprietary formulas that have been pre-tested using PCCA chemicals and bases, and that are continuously reviewed and updated. Comprehensive Education
Continuing education is the key to continued success in your practice. PCCA conducts more Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited continuing education than anyone else. Congratulates Phil Bunick on His Retirement
After 40 years of work in hospital pharmacy, and 36 years as a pharmacy director, Philip Bunick is retiring from his current job as Pharmacy Director at the UConn Health Center in Farmington this August. Bunick graduated from UConn in 1972, and is amazed at how much pharmacy has changed since then. He loves working with students because “they keep you in touch with what is currently happening in pharmacy.” Bunick believes that working with students is a give and take, and he benefits from the experience as much as they do. He says, “They have a lot of insight and refreshing ideas. It’s nice to get a new perspective.” Thanks to Bunick, the UConn Health Center now precepts a P1 and P4 student on rotation. Bunick is no stranger to working with students. In 20 plus years, working with up to ten students a year, he is constantly running in to past students, several of which have ended up working for him. “Those who make a good impression on their rotations have an advantage finding a job in this difficult job market,” he explains. Beginning in July, the pharmacy will begin a residency program in collaboration with the School of Pharmacy. He also assisted in the enhancement of clinical programs and the reestablishment of the anticoagulation clinic. His experiences have also made him an asset in selecting who will become accepted into the School of Pharmacy. For the past few years Phil has been involved with the interview process. He says he is extremely grateful that the School of Pharmacy asked him to be a part of this process since he believes that “the sky is the limit for pharmacy today” and the students selected will play a tremendous role in shaping the future of the profession.

Product Overview CAM is the leader in ensuring pharmacies are compliant with the IRS legislation requiring point of sale systems support the IIAS (Inventory Information Approval System) requirements. Working together with industry standards organizations such as SIGIS, CAM point of sale software has been certified and provides pharmacies with the required features to comply with these new IRS regulations. CAM’s built-in electronic payment processing identifies FSA/HRA eligible items and applies payments accordingly within the software. All historical sales information is maintained to comply with audit requirements. Certification documents and audit results are available upon request.
Proven Features iPod Physical Inventory Application; IIAS Compliancy; SIGIS Eligible List; Auto Purchasing; Inventory Control; Customer Management; Multi-store Communications; Frequent Shopper; Integrated e-Commerce; Credit Card Processing; E-signature Capture for HIPAA, RX Log; A/R House Charge Requirements for a Merchant IIAS
The IRS requires plan administrators to approve FSA/HRA debit card transactions from a non-health care merchant only when the merchant supports IIAS. The IIAS system is a combination of inventory management and point-of-sale systems that manage the following three functions: • Confirm the health care eligibility of items purchased with a FSA or HRA card, by accessing eligibility flags in the merchant’s inventory database when merchandise is purchased with a FSA/HRA card. • Generate a payment transaction that contains the required IIAS information. • Support an information archive system that allows the merchant to respond to an IRS audits as required.
n The components of an IIAS system typically include: • An Inventory Management system that identifies health care eligible items based on the UPC code and compares them to the item purchased for nationally-branded, private label and special promotionally packaged branded items. SIGIS provides an Eligible Product List, a list of nationally-branded eligible products, to its Members. • A Health Benefit Card Identification Capability to identify FSA and HRA cards via Bank Identification Number (BIN) ranges of all FSA and HRA cards. The list of required BINs is provided by the merchant’s acquirer. • A POS payment card authorization system that generates IIAS transactions containing all of the required IIAS data elements, including an IIAS flag indicating an IIAS system was used, the Health Care Eligible Amount, and if supported, the Rx/Prescription Amount. The Rx/Prescription Amount is a subset of the Health Care Eligible Amount. This system should also support partial authorizations to improve the handling and acceptance of FSA and HRA card transactions. • Settlement System that supports the settlement of approved IIAS transactions containing the required IIAS information to a merchant acquirer. • A Transaction Retention capability that supports the storage and retrieval of IIAS transactions to respond to IRS audit requests to confirm the eligibility of items purchased on a FSA or HRA card.

• Prints Linear and 2D Bar Codes and images and logos
The Pearson family invented the first pill counter commercialized in the U.S. and has been involved in innovative pharmacy automation solutions for over 50 years. Pearson Medical Technologies is shaping the role of pharmacy automation and bar code labeling to help address the ever increasing challenges to safe medication delivery. With the introduction of the intelliPack® and m:Print® line of products, Pearson Medical Technologies has moved beyond “pill counting” and created safe, effective and affordable solutions for unit dose and multi-dose packaging, labeling and medication delivery, which are all designed to meet the needs of hospitals, pharmacies, and patients of today.
Product Overview
The IP128APS® is the most cost-effective fully automated high-speed unit dose and multi-dose pharmacy packaging system with the smallest footprint available. The unrivaled accuracy and unique features of the IP128APS increase patient safety and pharmacy productivity by reducing staff requirements, optimizing workflow and inventory management, and maximizing safe and accurate medication packaging through unattended packaging operations. The IP128APS is an automated 128-canister system that creates packaging in single unit dose or multi-dose packages for patient specific or unit dose package runs. This automated system is ideal for long term care pharmacies for short cycle filling as well as hospital pharmacies for unit dose packaging. The IP128APS packaging unit is perfect for any pharmacy because of its compact size (2' x 2' footprint) and its low price. Up to 4 IP128® systems can be linked together allowing not only functional redundancy to prevent down time, but also to increase canister capacity to up to 512 canisters and for packaging speed of up to 240 packages per minute. Because the IP128APS can be interfaced with any pharmacy information system, prescriptions with a 7, 14, or 30 day or other filling cycle can be automatically processed or queued for seamlessly packaging in multi-dose strips. Company Background
Freedom Pharmaceuticals was founded in 2009 on the belief that customer service as well as quality chemicals and supplies are paramount. Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Freedom Pharmaceuticals is centrally located to better service our customers throughout the United States. Freedom Pharmaceuticals strives to meet the ever changing demand of independent compounding pharmacies and their patients. Our commitment to quality and courtesy is evident in all we do. Freedom Pharmaceuticals has its finger on the pulse of compounding and will help our customers be on the forefront of this rapidly changing industry.
Product Overview
Freedom Pharmaceuticals is committed to providing the highest quality fine chemicals, excipients and compounding bases available. Freedom knows that quality and consistency gives our customers peace of mind, confidence, and a competitive advantage in their practice. To ensure the integrity of our chemicals, every monographed item is rigorously screened to meet the most current USP/NF/BP/ EP/JP or other specifications. Each lot of Freedom chemicals is first quarantined and subjected to a comprehensive, in-house identification analysis using multiple pieces of equipment, including FTIR. Once a positive thumbprint is confirmed, Freedom chemicals are sent to an independent analytical laboratory for further purity verification. Only chemical lots, that perform optimally to this point, will be scheduled for repackaging. All chemical lots are evaluated for color, appearance, solubility, and application specific requirements. Freedom creates a product monograph for each API, excipient, compounding base, and capsule, including statements on country of origin, micronization (as applicable), certificates of analysis, allergen/gluten, source of derivation, Kosher/Halal, BSE/TSE and others. This information is transparently available to our customers to help them make the best selections for their patients and practice.
Company Division - CPCSI CPCSI, a division of Freedom Pharmaceuticals, is a consulting company formed to help compounding pharmacies nationwide maximize thirdparty billing potential for compounded prescriptions. Our consultants consist of pharmacists and attorneys that collectively own and operate compounding pharmacies which have successfully billed third-parties for over 25 years. Our consultants are trained to educate, guide and assist you and your pharmacy with the obstacles of billing third-parties for compounded prescriptions.

First, our consultants will teach you and your staff how to properly bill within the terms of third-party contracts and manuals. Additionally, our consultants will teach you how to properly document and respond to third-party audits. We can teach you how to avoid third-party recoupment.
n I have always heard to stay away from billing third-parties, how can I trust what you’re teaching is accurate?
O ur consultants have over 30 years of combined experience in billing third-parties, and are put to the test every day in their own pharmacies. We can show you how to stand behind your decision to bill third-parties both legally and ethically.
n How can CPCSI help my pharmacy? • Acquire third-party contracts • Review and understand the terms of third-party contracts and manuals as they relate to compounded pharmaceuticals • Properly bill third-parties within the meaning and terms of the contracts and manuals and be profitable • Properly document and respond to third-party audits

Company Background For 40 years, Winland Electronics has been a recognized industry leader in the development and manufacture of critical condition monitoring solutions. Serving the healthcare, pharmacy, high tech and food service markets, the EnviroAlert security products are designed to monitor, log and alert when critical environmental conditions extend beyond programmed limits. Proudly manufactured in USA, Winland products are compatible with new and existing alarm systems and are available world wide. Product Overview The EnviroAlert EA800-ip is designed for 24/7 critical condition monitoring in regulated industries such as pharmacies, hospitals, and commercial food service. Each device provides flexibility to simultaneously monitor wired and wireless sensors for conditions including: • Temperatures (high, low, cryogenic) • Relative humidity from 5 to 95% • Water presence (excellent in water heater and sink areas) • Contact closure (doors, etc) • Power loss Your EA800-ip real-time data is available to view and export through a secure intuitive web interface anywhere at any time for assigned personnel. Additionally, the LCD screen displays realtime sensor data 24/7 for the local team. All of your critical wired and wireless sensor data is automatically
logged lowering labor costs and creating positive ROI. These accurate data logs are an integral component for regulation compliance including 21 CFR Part 11. Each sensor has a solid audit trail of data that can be graphed for quick overall trending visualization. Receive alerts via multiple methods versus reliance on a single notification channel. The console LCD screen will flash and the audible buzzer will sound for immediate local notification and quick resolution. Alerts are also sent to designated personnel simultaneously via email and/or text to cell phones, notebooks, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. Alert notifications can be designated per device or per individual sensors. System generated time and date stamped reports are available to view, download, and automatically email to multiple personnel per your regulatory requirements. Reports include sensor logs and charts, alarm logs, and device activity logs such as sensor parameter modifications. Secure cloud-based technology provides quick large and small installations with no software management required. EnviroAlert systems can provide additional coverage in areas such as robot dispensers, liquid nitrogen storage, kitchen coolers and freezers, IT server rooms, clean rooms, warehouse and storage areas, and much more. The EnviroAlert product line offers scalable monitoring solutions. If your application doesn’t require a network solution, install the EnviroAlert EA800. This non-IP model provides an economical means of viewing real-time data and accessing data logs via the console USB port. The audible buzzer, flashing real-time data LCD screen and relay outputs provide critical situation alerts. Winland’s wide variety of products will save you money by managing your time-consuming 24/7 critical condition monitoring tasks.
