PORTALS Lighting can dramatically affect the way someone views or experiences a space. The struggle between solid and void has been a design challenge for centuries and has dictated the amount of natural light allowed in a building. These portals not only provide appropriate lighting, they also serve to frame views and can connect built works to the surrounding natural environment.
