ERIC YOUNG Chief Executive Officer
Eric Young is a renowned construction and legacy business creator who instills powerful, customized entrepreneurial solutions to every client. A highly sought-after resource for Fortune 500 clients by the age of 26, Eric has led the construction of many landmark projects in the Southeast. His expertise and reputation in the industry positioned him as the “go-to” Project Manager for Universal Studios, Disney Corporation, Chase Manhattan Bank, Allstate Insurance, and Raymond James Financial. His largest project prior to his current position was the $250 Million, 1,040,000 sq ft Georgia Aquarium.
Since forming Reeves Young in 2006, his enigmatic and powerful leadership style has enabled the company to constantly evolve and exceed even their own projections. During the last 16 years with Mr. Young as CEO, the company has grown from 14 employees to over 460, and is projected to achieve the $1 billion dollar volume benchmark by the end of this year.

Kyle Krejci is a seasoned financial manager and accounting professional with more than 22 years of experience in the construction industry. This project at Bellwood Quarry for the City of Atlanta Water Supply feature turnkey heavy civil services that included a 3,800 SF permanent soil nail wall, 3,500 SF of modular block walls, 48 16” diameter auger cast piles varying in length from 29’–38’, and site grading. Utility infrastructure included 1,300 LF of 36” ductile iron pipe, 3,000 LF of 8” and below waterline, 1,500 LF of sanitary sewer; 3,700 LF of 24” and below reinforced concrete pipe and high-density polyethylene pipe for storm sewer, and yard piping for the pump stations (2,500 LF of 36” ductile iron pipe, 280 LF of 30” ductile iron pipe, 140 LF of 48” ductile iron pipe, 140 LF of 84” fiberglass reinforced epoxy pipe). The site finishes consisted of 12,000 SY of asphalt paving; 12,700 SF of permeable concrete paving; 6,500 LF of curb and gutter, 13,000 SF of concrete flatwork, landscaping and irrigation, fence and guardrails, site furnishings, and a rainwater harvesting pond.

Reeves Young provided heavy civil services in support of the construction of State Farm’s new headquarters. The project included 165,000 CY of dirt hauled off and 170,000 CY of rock blasting with haul off and utility installation for a 40’ deep, 100,000 SF footprint for a four-story underground parking deck. Services provided also involved earthwork, shoring, dewatering, utilities, concrete precast culverts, MSE walls, asphalt paving, and signalization. Installation of two of GA’s largest pre-cast culverts to build a new roadway. Utility work included 400 LF of 24” sewer line, jack and bore sewer line under a six-lane parkway, storm drainage, and water lines.

Reeves Young provided turnkey site development services including erosion, dewatering, shoring, excavation, grading, stormwater, water, and sewer infrastructure for Norfolk Southern’s new corporate headquarters. The two-tower project includes approximately 856,000 SF of office space and a 14,000 SF childcare center with a 3,600 SF outdoor play area. Three levels of below grade parking were also required for the project and entail 77,100 SF of shoring, 159,270 CY of soil excavation, including 29,000 CY of impacted soils, a temporary dewatering system with over 100 wells, and a permanent underdrain system.

The Beacon Municipal Court Complex was an adaptive re-use and new construction of a historic, three-building city municipal complex. The project, totaling 84,377 SF, included a police and municipal court facility with courtroom, holding cells and 911 communications, an active living building with classrooms, a gymnasium, and a City of Decatur Schools Administration Building. The LEED Silver project also included the construction of a plaza to connect the three buildings. Three additional project scopes were added mid-project: re-routing a major artery of the city’s active storm sewer, building a two and one-half acre water retention vault below a soccer field to manage site flooding, and expanding and renovating an adjoining community pool.

This project for Brasfield & Gorrie involved a comprehensive heavy civil scope including demolition of the existing parking lot and hardscapes, mass grading and fine grading, and installation of underground water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems. The work performed on this site supported the development of a $126 million 62,825 SF four-story emergency department — the state’s busiest — which has the capacity to treat 185,000 people annually.

This 30-acre new soccer training complex involved the construction of three artificial and three natural turf fields. Reeves Young selfperformed the grading, moving over 200,000 CY of dirt on the site. The project also included the installation of storm, sanitary, and water lines, 10,000 LF of 8”–36” pipe, and 1,000 LF of 48”–60” storm drainage pipe. Hardscape and landscape designs were also implemented, including walls, sidewalks, a fountain, an irrigation system, and parking lot paving.

Reeves Young completed two projects for the landfill, which receives all residential trash for Dekalb County, Georgia. The first project included 4,200 LF of access road grading and paving 84” and 96” diameter storm drain installation, customer drop-off area improvements, a 7-acre stormwater detention pond, office trailer, picnic shelter, vehicle tire wash, storage shed site entranceway, and landscaping. The second project involved moving 1.6 million cubic yards of soil to fill and level the 27-acre area, and the development of two new landfill cells to receive the trash. Both required a landfill liner system and sand layer.

The Reeves Young/CERM/HGOR/Portman design-build team was chosen by the City of Atlanta to complete the Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry and related site work. The project consisted of conceptual master planning, design, prescribing ecological restorative treatments for highly degraded industrial sites, permitting, and construction for Phase I improvements and amenities. The first phase of the $26.5 million 36-acre project included a gateway entrance at the intersection of Johnson Road and Grove Park Place. Set on the park’s north side, the gateway has lighting, signage, and graphics. The restoration of Grove Park Place included resurfacing the road and improvement of the greenery along the corridor. The park contains trails, a pedestrian connection to the Proctor Creek Greenway, and an ADA-accessible overlook.

This project involved the renovation and expansion of an existing City of Atlanta park located on a former landfill. Reeves Young was contracted by the City of Atlanta to create the first-of-its-kind energy cost-neutral park. Photovoltaic solar panels that act as a shade structure at one of the park’s entrances produce energy, which is sold back to Georgia Power, offsetting the entirety of the park’s energy costs. Park amenities included a splash pad, an enhanced playground with interactive play elements, walking paths that encircle the park, a Little League baseball field, a pavilion, and restroom facilities.

Reeves Young served as the prime contractor for this brand-new park in the Upper Proctor Creek area. This watershed project manages persistent stormwater flooding issues in the area. A vacant property with blighted structures was transformed into a vibrant community asset. The approximately two-acre park includes a rain garden, constructed wetlands, and other green infrastructure that manages 3.5M gallons of stormwater runoff annually. Heavy civil services included self-performed demolition, installation of underground detention systems, utilities, lighting, landscaping, and hardscapes.

The Atlanta BeltLine project is the most comprehensive transportation and economic development effort ever undertaken in the city of Atlanta and is among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment programs in the United States. As General Contractor, Reeves Young developed significant pieces of one of the most visible components to the project — the 17-acre, multiactivity Historic Fourth Ward Park. Work completed included building the recirculating stream, a splash pad, waterfalls, amphitheater/plaza, and restroom facilities on the fiveacre south parcel as well as the large outdoor trellis, event lawn, and sculpture garden on the north parcel. Reeves Young also built the third parcel, which includes Atlanta’s first public skate park, with over 15,000 SF of bowls, curbs, and smooth rolling concrete mounds. The parcel also includes a sports field, a shade trellis topped with solar panels, and public restroom facilities.

Part of the second expansion of Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, this project continued the trail from Kirkwood Avenue to Memorial Drive, over Fulton Terrace/Mauldin Street. The scope of the project included a ramp and stair connection at the Fulton Terrace bridge and pedestrian intersection improvements at Kirkwood Avenue, Memorial Drive, and Bill Kennedy Way.

Reeves Young Recently completed the construction of a new Town Green for the City of Avondale Estates. Avondale Estates is building on its reputation as a green city, and the 2-acre Town Green will serve as an economic driver for the downtown, as well as a place for the community to gather. The scope of work included demolishing existing structures, grading for future mixed-use Buildings, road improvements, pavilion, and Town Green landscape and hardscape. The project includes walking paths, intimate gardens, open fields for passive recreation, a pavilion for outdoor performances, space for events, provisions for food trucks, a children’s area, a dog playground, and other amenities for residents, businesses, and visitors to enjoy.

Reeves Young was chosen by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority to provide Construction Management at Risk services for the Centennial Olympic Park renovations. The renovations and improvements were designed to increase community access, strengthen its Olympic heritage, enhance the visitor experience, and expand programming opportunities. This roadway improvement project was performed for Holder Construction and supported the construction of the new City Center for the City of Sandy Springs. Reeves Young’s scope included the demolition of existing roadways and corresponding signalization at two intersections. Services included 250 LF of 36” jack and bore utility installation; 3,300 LF of 18” reinforced concrete pipe; 1,000 LF of 12” ductile iron pipe water main; 9,000 LF of curb and gutter; and 27,000 SY of asphalt paving. The project also contained 1.2 miles of walking trails and paths.

Reeves Young was awarded multiple work scopes for this highly technical project for the Holder, Hunt, Russell, Moody joint venture in charge of building Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The project included grading the 40-acre site, which required removing 200,000 CY of soil, equaling 100 dump trucks a day. It also required creating internal access roads; placement of 294,000 SF of soil cement for multiple crane pads; demolition of the existing roadway bridge and retaining wall; installation of water, sewer and utility lines; and installation of sitework, utilities, and traffic signals to support the new entrance road.

Reeves Young provided improvements to community pedestrian access including 6,270 SY of sidewalk, 42,067 SY of mill and overlay, and 10,257 LF of curb and gutter along Lake Hearn Drive and Parkside Place. The scope also included moving the curb line 4 feet so existing sidewalks on the other side of the street could be widened from 4 feet to 6 feet. Seating benches, lighting, and trash receptacles were installed along the sidewalks. Special brick paving was utilized to increase aesthetic appeal. Two raised intersections were also created to mitigate excessive vehicular speed along Lake Hearn Drive. ADA ramps, pedestrian signalization, and crosswalks were also added.

Reeves Young performed turnkey site development services for The Home Depot Backyard project, a redevelopment of the 13acre greenspace on the site of the former Georgia Dome and what is now Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The unique project is being used for game-day parking, events, and entertainment. The project included mass grading and installation of 6″ of water, 8″ of sewer, and up to 42″ of storm drain utility lines. Reeves Young also performed as Prime Contractor for the installation of a 268,000 CF underground cast-in-place stormwater detention vault.

This project for Holder Construction included turnkey site development for the improvements to Infinite Energy Center. Services involved installation of a precast underground detention system (668 precast pieces that equal 571,535 CF of storage), excavation of 100,000 CY of dirt, shoring with I Beam and lagging, a temporary dewatering system with permanent underdrain system, 7,068 SY of paving, 12,784 SY of mill and overlay, and site demolition. The underground detention system is one of the largest in the Southeast.

This installation included 8″ sewer and 8″–12″ water utility infrastructure piping, including manholes. Over 30,000 LF of pipe was installed, including 11,367 LF of 8” SDR 35 sanitary sewer piping, 11,892 LF of 12” ductile iron pipe for a fire line, and 13,364 LF of 8” ductile iron pipe for a domestic water line.
