SAFETY IS MORE THAN A PRIORITY–IT'S THE FOUNDATION OF EVERYTHING WE DO.

At Reeves Young, safety is more than a priority—it’s the foundation of everything we do. Whether we’re in the office, on a job site, or at home, starting with safety should always be our first step. It’s a practice that sets the tone for every meeting, conversation, and action, reinforcing our commitment to protecting ourselves and those around us. By keeping safety at the forefront, we demonstrate that the well-being of our team, clients, and communities is at the heart of our mission. Let’s make safety the first thing we think about, every time, everywhere. 2024 was a transformative year for safety at Reeves Young as we continued to prioritize the well-being of our employees through the Work Safe, Home Safe culture. This initiative, launched in 2023, has gained incredible traction across all levels of our organization. Employees are embracing the message, fostering a culture where safety is not just a protocol but a shared value. To further enhance our commitment, we have expanded our training efforts to an all-time high, delivering more comprehensive and diverse programs than ever before. These trainings cover standard safety procedures, high-risk activity mitigation, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring everyone on-site is equipped to maintain the highest safety standards. In 2025, we are excited to be working on a brand-new Safety Orientation Video that will serve as a cornerstone for training. This resource will be a vital tool for onboarding new employees and reinforcing safety practices among our current workforce, helping us build on the strong foundation laid this year. Together, we are proving that safety is not just a goal—it’s a way of life at Reeves Young. By continuing to focus on the Work Safe, Home Safe initiative and enhancing our training resources, we are setting a standard of excellence that resonates more deeply with our team every day.

RIBBON CUTTINGS

As we reflect on 2024, let's take a moment to celebrate the ribbon cuttings that marked the year's achievements. Ribbon cuttings symbolize more than just the completion of a project—they represent the hard work, collaboration, and dedication that go into building something meaningful for our communities. Each event is a reminder of our commitment to quality, innovation, and the relationships we’ve fostered along the way. From fire stations and housing communities to industrial centers and trail projects, these milestones tell the story of Reeves Young’s impact in 2024. We celebrate each ribbon cutting as a proud marker of success, and we look forward to the opportunities 2025 will bring to build spaces that serve and inspire.

MESSAGE FROM THE BUL

As I reflect on 2024, I am truly amazed by what we’ve achieved together. While our accomplishments are remarkable, they come as no surprise—our collective hard work over the years has laid the foundation for a strong and stable Business Unit, and that dedication is now bearing fruit. The growth and success we’ve experienced over the past year are a direct result of your commitment, effort, and unwavering focus.

Mike Iezzi

Growth is never without its challenges, but it also brings exciting opportunities. I’ve witnessed many of you rise to the occasion, stepping into new responsibilities and developing in ways that inspire me. As our Business Unit continues to evolve, the opportunities for your own growth and personal development will only multiply. I encourage each of you to embrace these opportunities with confidence and curiosity as we move into the year ahead.

As we look toward the future, it’s equally important to reflect on what defines us—our company culture. Our culture is far more than just a list of values; it’s the very essence of who we are as a team and how we work together to achieve our goals. Most importantly, it is shaped by each of you, every day. I encourage you to live out our core values in all that you do: celebrate successes, learn from setbacks, and never hesitate to lend or ask for help. Together, we make our culture stronger, and that shared strength drives our success. The road ahead is full of promise. Together, we can continue to accomplish great things and position ourselves for sustained success. It has been one of the greatest honors of my career to work alongside such a talented and dedicated team, and I couldn’t be more excited to embrace the future with all of you by my side.

TOPIC OF INTEREST Business Development

As we step into the new year and embrace new opportunities, remember that each of you plays a vital role in the success of Business Development. Our future accomplishments are directly tied to your efforts and dedication. For all of us, this means being mindful of how we engage with clients, architects, colleagues, and subcontractors in our day-to-day interactions. Approximately 80% of our business comes from repeat clients—a testament to your ability to consistently exceed expectations on every project. This success is only possible because of your hard work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. Every interaction you have—with clients, architects, and other stakeholders—has the potential to open doors to new opportunities or, conversely, close them. Let’s continue to approach each conversation and collaboration with the same focus, integrity, and care that have become hallmarks of our success. Together, we can ensure that 2025 is another year of growth and achievement.

MESSAGE FROM THE BUL Reflecting on a Remarkable Year: Reeves Young in 2024

2024 was a landmark year for Reeves Young, particularly in Nashville, where our Commercial Business Unit achieved an extraordinary debut. In just one year, we secured $372 million in new sales, averaging $46 million per project. Starting with just three employees, our team has grown to an impressive 17 individuals. This kind of rapid growth underscores our commitment to delivering excellence while adapting to the demands of new markets. The phrase "growing pains" is often used to describe the challenges of expanding territories, entering new markets, and building new teams. But the reality is, every opportunity has its own unique rules of engagement – regardless of location. Success requires more than perseverance; it demands embracing a mindset that views change not as a challenge but as an opportunity. Leaders in every role must welcome fresh ideas and move beyond a one-size-fitsall approach to problem-solving. Personally, my transition to Nashville has been an adventure. Being Georgia-based my entire life, people often ask, "How do you like Nashville?" My answer is a mix of emotions. I miss the tranquility of Milton and being close to family, but the warmth and hospitality of the Nashville community have been genuinely heartening. The city offers a dynamic mix of experiences—from the breathtaking beauty of the Smoky Mountains at sunset to the vibrant energy of downtown, where party buses and live music create an unmistakable atmosphere (even on a random Tuesday night!). And I’m proud to say, that I have not succumbed to the pressures of becoming a “woo-girl”! Several long-awaited projects are finally coming to fruition, and our Nashville team continues to grow and evolve. Witnessing the career growth of others has been equally rewarding, as our shared success is built on individual and collective accomplishments. As we close the chapter on 2024, it’s exciting to reflect on how far we’ve come. Here’s to an extraordinary 2024 and an even brighter 2025. Cheers to new challenges, new opportunities, and continued growth!

TOPIC OF INTEREST Spreading Holiday Joy: Supporting the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program

Everyone deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. Since its inception in 1979 by Majors Charles and Shirley White in Lynchburg, Virginia, the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program has been a beacon of hope for families in need. The Whites were inspired by the thought of children returning to school after the holidays, seeing their friends in new clothes while they had none because their parents couldn’t afford them. To address this, the Whites partnered with the River Ridge shopping mall to create the first Angel Tree. The tree was adorned with Hallmark cards detailing the names and needs of children, and shoppers were encouraged to fulfill their wishes. That inaugural effort brought Christmas joy to 472 children. In the late 1990s, deserving seniors were added to the program, further expanding its impact. This holiday season, our team proudly joined in this tradition by adopting ten children and five seniors. With a budget of $100 per Angel, we headed to Walmart to bring their wish lists to life. I was heartened by the enthusiasm and dedication everyone showed in supporting this meaningful initiative—and especially proud that we even came in a few dollars under budget! (If only we could always achieve that level of efficiency!) The Salvation Army Angel Tree program now helps put new clothes and toys under the tree for 1 million children across the country each year—children who might otherwise go without. It’s an incredible testament to the power of giving and community spirit. Thank you to Reeves Young for your generosity and unwavering support for efforts like these. Together, we’re helping ensure that more families feel the magic and joy of the holiday season.

MESSAGE FROM THE BUL

I want to personally thank each of you for your contributions to the business unit's success in 2024. The efforts in Operations ensured that project schedules and budgets were maintained as we put in place over $150 million of new work. The efforts in Preconstruction helped win over $450 million of new sales, creating more backlog than the business unit has ever had. And it is the efforts of all the Support Service groups, from Accounting to Marketing to Contract Administration to Human Resources, that keep all the wheels turning.

Matt McCormack Some of the milestones we have hit this year include: Opening the North Pedestrian Bridge at the East Lake MARTA Station Completing the White House Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Opening up the North Block of Second Avenue in Nashville Successful startup of Davis Road Pump Station

Successful completion of Atlanta-Newnan Road Force Main and Pump Stations These are just a few of the “wins” we have had in the field. There are so many others it’s too many to list! Excellent execution on these projects and others continues to set us up for repeat business with existing clients and opportunities with new clients. For those of you who have been here for a few years now, I am sure you have seen the maturing of the business unit. Our processes have improved. Our safety has improved. We are becoming smarter builders. This maturity has absolutely contributed to the victories we have had this year. I hope all of you enjoy some time with your loved ones over the holidays. You have earned it. Thank you for all that you have done for Reeves Young this year.

MESSAGE FROM THE BUL

I recently watched an interview with Jeff Bezos that covered a wide range of topics but mostly focused on his entrepreneurial journey. Jeff Bezos responses and approach to business reminded me a lot of the approach Reeves Young has taken over the past decade plus. One comment he made particularly stuck out to me. The moderator was speaking about the size and scale of both Amazon and Blue Origin. He asked Jeff Bezos about the ability to see what those companies could become and if it was difficult to imagine. Mr. Bezos response was “I think it is generally human nature to overestimate risk and underestimate opportunity.” As Reeves Young continues to grow the dollar value of our projects, project complexity, William Reeves office locations, and number of employees we are taking on a lot of risk. But, with that risk comes opportunity. As we are all pushing the envelope to help grow and improve Reeves Young please don’t underestimate the opportunity you are helping to create!

SIGNATURE PROJECT Clemson Vet School

Reeves Young was awarded the sitework for the future Clemson University Veterinary School project over the summer. We are providing turnkey site development on the project and working for Turner Construction. Our crews have completed the majority of the mass grading on the 30 acre site and are currently focusing on the utility installation. There is over 7 miles of pipe to be installed on this project. The project value is $12.5 million dollars with an estimated completion in Summer 2026.

MESSAGE FROM THE BUL Reflecting on 2024

As we begin 2025, it's an excellent time to reflect on the year and how far we've come in 2024. Our Industrial division has been an absolute rocket ship since its inception, riding a market wave that few ever experience. Keeping things on track during those first few years required grit, determination, and perhaps a bit of luck.

That said, 2024 was a different year. The market has cooled—some would even say frozen. While this shift has impacted our Industrial team, we've weathered the storm far better than many of our competitors. The reason is clear: our clients have continued to stand by us. They’ve experienced our unwavering commitment when the market was booming and are now returning the favor, proving themselves to be true partners.

This slowdown has provided our teams with a much-needed breather after years of running at an almost impossible pace. It’s also given us the chance to reorganize and prepare for the next market upswing. Moreover, these conditions have pushed us toward diversification, further stabilizing our division and positioning us for sustained growth. Despite the challenges, one of the most remarkable outcomes this year was witnessing how the company’s diversification strategy paid off. After setting a Business Unit revenue record in 2023, the private market compression caused a slight dip in Industrial revenue. Yet, other Units stepped up to fill the gap. This is the value of having a diversified company: a collective commitment to supporting one another and driving success as a unified team.

Looking Ahead to 2025

There’s plenty of reason for optimism as we look toward 2025. The recent drop in federal interest rates and the shifting post-election landscape have already sparked momentum. In the end of 2024, we received notices of award for over $60 million in new projects—and this appears to be just the beginning. With the opportunities ahead, it’s essential to remain vigilant. With the knowledge and success we’ve built, it’s natural for complacency to creep in. However, to continue growing and achieving new heights, we must actively fight against it. Every challenge we face is an opportunity to improve, innovate, and reinforce the habits that made us successful in the first place. Staying sharp and proactive is key to sustaining our momentum. The road ahead will require significant growth, and we’ll need every team member to step up, meet new challenges, and improve daily. It’s through your commitment, collaboration, and dedication that we’ll achieve our shared goals. Together, we can build on this year’s foundation and make 2025 our strongest year yet. Thank you for all you’ve done and all you’ll continue to do. Let’s make 2025 a year to remember!
