RONALD MCDONALD
HOUSE | 10/1/2022
Ronald McDonald House is so amazingly fun every time no matter who the people going are, or what we ’ re making. The fact that we get to actually cook and make a meal for children and their families in the hospital is a huge motivator, and we ’ re learning an important life skill as we do it. This time we made sausage, French toast and egg bites along with a few grapes to top it off :D I just wish ppl would respond to my emails inviting them to come more often :p - Horus Chen
9 MILLION REASONS FO
Going to this event allowed me to meet several new people who I call friends today. The teamwork and communication between everyone who went to this event were extremely comforting as everyone encouraged one another to sort out different items for donation. At the end of the day, everyone had a good laugh. It was definitely a rememberable experience!

QUEENS | 10/16/2022
This strides of Queens event was a very memorable experience even for those who don’t have breast cancer. I think it is a very purposeful event that helps a great cause by walking and holding signs to spread awareness to those who are not aware of it. I think it is important to recognize cancer survivors by honoring and celebrating them.

The pumpkin patch at botanical garden was a very exciting event. There were many tents set up with activities for the children to participate in. There were many pumpkins for families to choose from and decorate. It was a busy day, but it was definitely worth volunteering because I had a lot of fun. We were allowed to bring home our own pumpkins for Halloween which made the experience even better.
- Eve ZhengI loved the bowling fundraiser event. Me and my friends got to bowl with our extraordinary skills and showed off to the other participants from francis lewis high school. I enjoyed this experience as it helped me create a closer bond with people throughout the usage of a ball with three holes and I hope to find myself engaged in more activities like this one.

I enjoyed the bowling fundraiser event very much not because I got the highest score out of all girls but because I was able to spend some good quality time with the people I enjoy being around. Not only was I able to show off my skills against Franny but I was able to see smiles on people faces and my friends having a good time which makes me want come to more fundraisers and activities with them in the future.

Before the event, the volunteers helped set up the event and made sure everything is running smoothly.
During the event, we helped entertain the families with different activities and snacks. Even though that day was stormy and cold, we had a bright and positive mood. We made new friends along the way.
- Stacy WuFall Rally was such a great experience! I got to learn a lot of things about Key Club in general, and how I can make an impact on my club! Definitely had so much fun!

The Howard Beach event was super fun! There were great music from a school’s band and a lot of really cool costumes. The event was great, there was delicious pizza and hotdog after the parade we had a lot of fun at that event.

SET UP FOR TOTTEN
Originally signing up for this event I was expecting a good amount of labor however this wasn’t the case; during the event I was able to not only help set up for the next event, I was able to create joyful memories with the other volunteers including my friends and even people I’ve never met before. With the great amounts of collaboration and laughs our team of volunteers were extremely efficient while also sharing harmless jokes that lighten the mood.

TOTTEN TROT
Totten Trot is one of my favorite Key Club events.
The Totten Trot event this October 30th was a memorable one for me. I got to Fort Totten very early, so I was able to enjoy the beautiful views of the Throgs Neck Bridge, and the sun peaking through the trees and mystical fog wafting over Fort Totten Lake. Me and two other guys were assigned to the turn around, and the views there were amazing as well. Aside from the views themselves, I really enjoyed helping out with proctoring the race, and messing around with the skeleton that me and the other two guys named "Betty". Happy late Halloween!
