Fundraiser In December, Bayside High School Key Club held a Five Guys Fundraiser at Bay Terrace Mall. After taking a short walk to the mall with my friends, I was met with the crowded but welcoming atmosphere of the busy store. Groups of friends were situated at the scattered tables with constant chatters being heard all around. This was also my first time visiting a Five Guys, so I was able to experience it while contributing to the fundraiser. I was surprised by the various selection of toppings we could add at no cost. The delicious and filling meal gave me an overall good impression of this place and I would definitely go again. The Five Guys Fundraiser was an eventful experience that helped set the stressful school day into a positive mood. -Sherry Liu, member

Raking the Park
The raking of leaves at Raymond Park with the borough president of queens was quite fun. We didn’t only meet the graduated seniors and catch up with friends, but we also gained experience. It was a very unique experience to be helping the government, perhaps not in a large way but something is better than nothing. I began raking leaves and bagging them to put them outside the park for pick up. As time passed, I began to dig with some new people I met named “Kevin” and “Ked”. I’m glad to have met new people, and they made the event interesting. Furthermore, the event was worth the time and effort for the experience. -John Lam, member
