High Ashes Rural Project (HARP) is a place that changes lives, a farm on the edge of Chesterfield that offers a wide and varied range of training and experiences. They allow people of any level to develop skills they never knew they had and give them the confidence to share these skills and their time with others.

If you'd like to help support their work you can do so by taking part in their Spring family friendly 5 and 10k mud run, the next date is Sunday 16 April 2023.

Slide, crawl and run around this great obstacle course. This event is family-friendly and perfect for all abilities. The event isn't about finishing times, although they don't want to be sending out search parties in the dark, but being part of something, hanging around for cake and coffee afterwards, and sharing experiences of your run. All finishers get a medal and leave with an enormous amount of satisfaction! I remember the last one I did! Being waist deep in freezing cold water did bring a tear to my eye but I soon got through it and warmed up... although I don't think my trainers ever recovered!

Adult entry is £13.99 (£25.99 with a T shirt), juniors (12 to 16 years) are £10 (£22 with a T shirt), juniors (7 to 12 years) are £5 (£17 with a T shirt) and under 7's go free (£12 for T shirt). See online for 10k prices.
