The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Meet PK, the lovable character from Rajkumar Hirani’s highly anticipated film, PK. This comedy tells the story of an alien, PK (Aamir Khan) who comes down to earth and accidentally meets a prostitute with a heart of gold. Together they set about changing the opinion of humans on the existence of God. Aamir Khan also visited Varanasi to promote his film ‘PK’ and said that he will request Prime Minister Narendra Modi to watch his film, which releases soon. “I will request him to watch my film. But PM is already so busy in his own work...but if he finds the time to watch this movie, then I would be the happiest,” said Aamir, who once met Modi for his TV programme ‘Satyamev Jayate’. Talking about his nude ‘PK’ poster, which created amusement and a public outcry including a legal case being opened he said “Vulgarity is

not judged with clothes on or off. It’s stuck in our heads. We were born naked in this world, we just need to change our mindsets... There is no vulgarity in the poster of ‘PK’. We asked Aamir Khan about speaking Bhojpuri in ‘PK’, he said: It is a sweet language; would love to do a Bhojpuri film if the right script comes my way. Aamir, who is reportedly playing a Bhojpuri guy in the film, said he took four months to learn the language. “Bhojpuri is a sweet language. I took around 3-4 months to learn all the Bhojpuri dialogues of the film,” he added. Asked if he would try his luck in Bhojpuri cinema, Aamir said, “If I get a good script, I will surely do.” Aamir also wished s speedy recovery for legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who has been admitted to hospital in Mumbai for pneumonia and expressed his sentiments as follows; “I too have seen on TV that Yusuf Sahab (Dilip Kumar) is not well and he is in the hospital. We pray that he may get well soon. I am the biggest fan of Yusuf sahab, I have learnt a lot watching his films. Actor Govinda inaugurated a special preview of realistic, contemporary, fantasy and modern works of self-taught sibling artists Dr.Seema Chaudhary and Nitin Chaudhary’s art show titled Vibgyor Vignettes and Vignaharta at Vicky Tejwani’s his Levo Restaurant and Lounge in Model Town, Andheri West, over wine and cheese. Besides Govinda, actors Prashantt Guptha, Shaleen Bhanot, Poonam Preet, Richa Sony, singers Mudasir Ali, Preety Bhalla, Gioconda, ace photographer Shruti Tejwani, designer Amy Billimoria, director Ashwini Chaudhary, among others graced the preview. The exhibition opened under the name Kaishori Arts at Coomaraswamy Hall inside Prince of Wales Museum in Kala Ghoda. The elephant-headed deity, in various forms is in vibrant, geometric and self-textured patterns with the form in white -- Nitin effortlessly created balance between forms, lines and colours. Ganesha dancing to the music by a halo-like white form of a harp set on a colourful backdrop unaware of the dancing girl, the affection of male and female with sensual eyes, the girl with pretty red and yellow dress looking through the window at the blue sea as if waiting for her lover… the canvasses don’t just tell you a tale ,they effortlessly mesmerise you to be part of their world. “Women are different from men. The love for fairies, Cinderella and Snowhite remain with women all through their lives. It is this fantasy that I recreate on canvas,” explains Dr. Seema Chaudhary. 15 Million Rand Gurudwara Sahib Marble erected now in Parmore Johannesburg. Official Opening of the Gurudwara Venue: Parkmore (Sandton) Johannesburg 30th November 2014.12.06.
B
usinessman: Harbinder Singh Sethi from Independent Power Tanzania donated land for this auspicious site despite having objections for the construction of the Gurudwara temple. The temple will provide free vegetarian food to all guests and devotees on a weekly basis and will also be open to all religious groups as South Africa is a rainbow nation. Facilities include a prayer hall, food hall, bathrooms and massive underground free parking. Today the Nishan Sahib (Sikh flag) flew high above the temple domes signifying that objections can be dealt with especially when it’s a need for a specific community. This sentiment was also well shared by the Parkmore residents as this site now resides within the community surroundings.

The Sikh community paid their respects on this graceful occasion from all over the world thus making this opening a really grand one. The site is now said to become a major tourist attraction for Johannesburg and the Southern Hemisphere What is a Gurdwara? During the times of the early Gurus, Sikh places of worship were referred to as dharamsalas. They were a place where Sikhs could gather to hear the Guru speak or sing hymns. As the Sikh population continued to grow Guru Hargobind introduced the word Gurdwara, meaning the gateway through which the Guru could be reached. Thereafter all Sikh places of worship came to be known as Gurdwaras. Any place where the
Mr Harbinder Singh Sethi
Guru Granth Sahib is installed and treated with due respect can be referred to as a Gurdwara, whether it is a room in ones house of a separate building. Three main functions are carried out in all public Gurdwaras. One is Kirtan which is the singing of hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib, another is Katha which is reading of the Guru Granth Sahib and explanations. The third main function which is carried out at every Gurdwara is the Langar, free community kitchen for all visitors of all religions. Along with these main functions Gurdwaras around the world also serve the Sikh community in many other ways including, libraries of Sikh literature, schools to teach children Gurmukhi and the Sikh scriptures and charitable work in the community on behalf of Sikhs Gurdwara Protocols: When entering the Gurdwara one is expected to remove the shoes and cover ones bare head as signs of respect towards the sovereignty of the Guru Granth Sahib. Hands are washed and in some Gurdwaras there are also feet washes. Approaching the Guru Granth Sahib one is expected to bow down and touch the floor as a sign of further respect towards the Eternal Sikh Guru. Offerings of cash are usually made at this time to help carry the expenses of running the Gurdwara and community work carried out by the Gurdwara. These offerings are voluntary and not compulsory. All people irrespective of their status sit on the floor as a sign of equality as opposed to chairs and the Guru Granth Sahib is always installed on a higher level. One may enter or leave the congregation at any time. Men and women do not generally sit together but on separate sides of the room, both at an equal distance from the Guru Granth Sahib. All people are expected to stand facing the Guru Granth Sahib when the Ardas (common prayer) is read out. Gurdwaras are open to all people of all religions and are generally open 24 hours a day. Some Gurdwaras also provide temporary accommodations for visitors or pilgrims. In the Langar all sit on the floor and food is cooked and served by volunteers, this food is available at all times. Only vegetarian food is served so that no person may be offended and all people of all religions can sit together to share a common meal irrespective of any dietary restrictions. – http://www.sikhs.org/gurdwara.htm

Himalaya Herbals Enters Guinness Book of World Records
he Himalaya Drug Company, India’s leading herbal health and personal care Company, entered the Guinness World Record “for most people receiving a facial simultaneously”. The record was accomplished by completing 286 facials in Mumbai and communicated a strong message on the importance of a healthy skin care routine.
He adds, “As a leading face care brand in the country, we believe it’s our responsibility to create awareness for healthy skin and help young girls and boys address common skin problems. The message is clearly about educating young adults on the importance of a good skin care routine. And of course, the Guinness World Record is a great platform to celebrate our leadership position in face cleansing!”
As part of the record setting activity, 286 students got a complete facial – starting with a cleansing, toning and moisturizing routine which was followed by a Purifying Neem facial, conducted by 286 professional beauty experts from Mumbai.
Vineet Jain, General Manager Marketing – Consumer Products Division, The Himalaya Drug Company, says, “Himalaya’s Pure Skin Facial has been a continuous endeavour by the brand to engage with college students across the country to educate them about the importance of a regular skin care routine. The brand has established a benchmark with this record and shows our true commitment towards providing our consumers problem-free skin.”
Himalaya’s Pure Skin Facial is an on-going initiative by the brand to engage with teenagers across the country and create awareness on skin care. The record was created using this interactive workshop as a platform where students from various colleges in Mumbai participated in a pampering facial session. Beauty Expert, Veena Desai moderated the activity and interacted with the audience explaining the step-by-step facial routine. She also shared interesting tips on skin care and demonstrated the process of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. The record of 286 facials was certified at Shri Rang Mandir Grounds by Guinness Adjudicator, Ms. Fortuna Burke. Commenting on this occasion, Rajesh Krishnamurthy, Business Head – Consumer Products Division, The Himalaya Drug Company says, “It is a proud moment for Himalaya to be recognized by Guinness for conducting the maximum number of facials.”
“An event of this magnitude requires all stakeholders to be focused, while also remaining adaptable and nimble,” said, Geo Thomas, CEO, Acme Events India. “We are glad to partner with Himalaya for this event and thank them for providing us with this opportunity. Undertaking and executing an event of such a scale, only further goes on to validate our position of being one of the leading Corporate Event Management Companies in India.” Actor, Shraddha Kapoor who was also present at the event, interacted with the students and guests. She says, “Completing a record for the maximum number of facials is an exciting initiative to be part of. As we congratulate the brand on this achievement, it is also important to follow the message of a regular
skin care routine. A healthy regimen must consist of cleansing, toning and moisturizing followed by using products that are healthy and natural. All these aspects were clearly demonstrated by Himalaya today.” Himalaya reached out to a large number of students in Mumbai to participate in this activity which also got them tweeting about the brand, using the Twitter handle- #PureSkinFacial.

Natalie Dormer shaved her hair for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay The half shaved head gives a very edgier look & shows the rebel in her Natalie Dormer, the 32 year old English actress has been in the news recently for her half shaved look for the upcoming movie The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. Natalie plays Cressida, the hot young media-savvy rebel who makes “propos,” a mix of viral advertising, on-the-fly news clips and inspirational messages that are the only way for the rebels to communicate to the outside world. The actress who had to buzz the left side of her head for the role was very nervous about shaving half her head, but once she had done the deed she felt surprisingly free. Makeup department head Ve Neill says, “Since Natalie was coming off Game Of Thrones, we really wanted to give her a completely different look than people were used to.” In the book she is described as having a shaved head and being tattooed with green vines, which could mean a number of different things, so we began to explore from there.” Ultimately, Dormer sportingly partially shaved her own hair on one side. “Natalie was kind of freaked out about the hair at first, but then she said, ‘You know what? I’m rocking it.’ And she did,” muses Neill. About her look Natalie feels, “We all felt that shaving just half the head was more Capitol — funkier, edgier, and it gave insight into Cressida’s personality.” At the recently held world premier Natalie said, “So much of female identity is bound up in our hair. It was fascinating to explore my idea of what makes me physically attractive. I felt empowered.” The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, the third in the global blockbuster Hunger Games film franchise, released in India.

Is Sonali Raut really a kaamchor on Bigg Boss? “Sonali Raut makes tea for all in Bigg Boss, cooks great food, makes chapatis by the dozen, washes utensils, mops and cleans the house. She actively participates in most tasks and has even continued tasks with great zeal after falling and getting hurt. Even then, most Bigg Boss housemates are hell bent on calling her a kaamchor (lazy bum),” laments her publicist Dale Bhagwagar. “All one can fault her for, is her unique flip-flap way of sweeping the floor. Or for her dialogue ‘Main kya yahan jhaadu maarne aayee hoon?’ But repeatedly targeting her for that, isolating and bullying her, and branding her a kaamchor, is hardly fair on the spunky girl,” he remarks. True that, from the last few days, most contestants have been criticizing the Bollywood actress or bitching about her without reason. Karishma Tanna says “Sonali feels she is meant for bigger things in life, than work inside the Bigg Boss House”. Pritam Singh and Diandra Soares allege, “she sleeps all the time”. Ali Quli Mirza says “Sonali does not listen to the Captain regarding work and does her own thing”. Dimpy Mahajan’s issue has been that “Sonali does not make round chapatis”. But the Raut gal proved Dimpy wrong, when she made perfectly round chapatis when Salman Khan asked her to demonstrate during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Even the House Captain Gautam Gulati who was head-overheels for Sonali earlier, doesn’t miss a chance to bring her down these days. “No one will speak to Sonali for two hours from now,” is what he ordered other contestants when Sonali complained of being targeted. Dale points out that most Housemates, except Upen Patel, have made Sonali their scapegoat. “They have also conveniently forgotten the fact that whereas someone or the other have always fought with them, Sonali is still the only contestant who has kept her dignity and not indulged in a single dirty fight on Bigg Boss.”
Aarya Babbar relives Bigg Boss moments in an airplane Returning from Bigg Boss, Aarya Babbar had to rush to Delhi for an urgent meeting. But when he boarded his flight, he realized that it was not the same feeling as before. Having spent the first few grueling days in a claustrophobic mock airplane, with the aircraft theme in Bigg Boss, Aarya got the heebie-jeebies recollecting the memories of the tiresome sleepless nights spent on a plane’s recliner seat on the reality show. “Aarya told us he felt uneasy throughout his flight to Delhi as he relived the Bigg Boss moments,” mentioned his publicist Dale Bhagwagar. “He kept calling the airhostesses, asking for water and eatables; just to make himself feel the difference between the Bigg Boss aircraft and a real one.” Now now! The food may have surely been more interesting, but we wonder if Aarya found the airhostesses more entertaining than his BB Airlines passengers Karishma Tanna, Soni Singh, Sukirti Kandpal, Sonali Raut, Natasha Stankovic and Diandra Soares.

Why is Mona Singh behaving like Jashodaben? Heavy work schedule is not something that is new to an actor, especially one with a television background. But Mona Singh has experienced so much of ‘promotion work’ in the last month that she is amazed at the amount of work one has to put into promotions of one’s movie. “We started the promotions of ZED PLUS and are still travelling,” reveals the actress who has (within the span of three weeks) along with the cast, made it to Bhopal, Jaipur, Pushkar, Ajmer Sharif, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chandigarh and Haryana. “We have attended press conferences in all these places and what has amazed me the most is the warmth I have received from the journalists and the people,” smiles Mona. Throwing light on the hectic schedule, Mona says, “I’m enjoying the process a lot as this is the first time that I am a part of movie promotions. It’s not easy to take early morning flights every day, in and out of cities, but the process is so amazing that one forgets about being tired.” Ask her what was the one common question she was put forth by journalists all over, and the actress says, “Everywhere I went I was asked the same question unanimously; why am I so choosy about my work? I liked the fact that the media wants to see more of me.”

For Mona, however, ‘Less is more’. “I don’t believe in quantity but quality of work. Years later, when I look back, I should be proud of the cinema I have been a part of,” she says. Looking back is what Mona is doing nowadays, what with Jashodaben, wife of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, also looking back every time she steps out, wondering what her security is all about! ZED PLUS releases soon, and actually Mona is looking forward! Mona Singh’s tryst with de-glam looks continues... Most heroines, given an opportunity, would love to look ‘hot and sexy’ on screen. But for Mona Singh, sexy is what the character is. In her upcoming film, ‘Zed Plus’, her tryst with de-glamourized looks continues. “I have always believed in taking risks. Of course, I would love to play a sexy character. But for me what matters is not how I will look, but what my role is,” reveals Mona who plays a very strong character in the film opposite Adil Hussain. In ‘3 Idiots’, too, she was pregnant throughout while her hit television serial saw her in a de-glam look for most part of the series. While the hostess, continues to be a huge draw for hosting television shows in her glamorous avatar, on the big screen, it is a different ride altogether. ‘Zed Plus’ promises to catapult the actress in a different league and the actress is sure the audience is going to love every moment of the film.

FAZAR the infectious Brand! How was Fazar conceptualised? Fazar was inadvertently introduced decades ago when a great grandmother picked up her first needle and thread, and over this time, it’s a skill that was developed and passed on from generation to generation. Now, Fazar being a family business, the three founding members decided to collaborate utilizing the skills we possessed amongst us to create a brand that encompassed our vision. The vision being that the company would be born from the ideologies of creating empowerment to both men and women by adorning an individual in high fashion, bold and unique design. In a country where mental and physical abuse is rife, Fazar hopes to inspire people today, to take back what was lost yesterday so that they can progress in the future, all by means of inspiring confidence through creative fashion design. At Fazar cross platform business integration is extremely important to us as they strongly believe in creating a connection between businesses and individuals. This belief is vital to the longevity, growth and sustainability of the brand. Paul James Hair Studios is a fantastic example of this, where a fashion meets beauty connection and it’s through this sort of welcome networking that Fazar hopes to grow and inspire people along the way.
Dressing the modern Indian woman Cultures, traditions and people have evolved over time and people have become independent thinkers concerning many aspects off their lives and fashion being one of them. Of course they’re influenced by what they see and hear from family, friends and media but the final decision is still largely theirs. The brand covers an extensive range of fashion, from elegant evening wear, cocktail dresses, ball gowns, wedding gowns, Middle Eastern wear and suiting. All designs remain extensive, flexible and tailored to the exclusive wants and needs of the client. We live in an age of fashion that expects people to be unique and what better way than to be yourself using fashion as a free form of creative expression.
How do accessories impact on a garment? Most of the accessories Fazar designs are interchangeable, for instance a bracelet can also be worn as a hair piece and a brooch can double up as a focal piece on the garment. The designs aim to create a versatile yet lavish outcome and sometimes all it takes is a complimentary accessory to bring it all together. Here at Fazar, they couldn’t agree more with Harry Winston when he said, “People will stare. Make it worth their while!
Fashion Tips Fashion is alive! It is an ever evolving entity and the best advice Fazar can give anyone is that, if what you’re wearing makes you feel confident and comfortable then own the look and make it yours!
A positive aura is infectious and if you look good, you’ll feel amazing! FAZAR. www.saindia.com
