Serious Fun in 2016 The last issue of this newsletter claimed to be a double issue, but there’s just too much happening in January. We needed an update! Be sure to mark your calendars for Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 7:15 a.m. for the next Parent Council meeting. All family members are welcome to attend and learn more about how to be involved the second half of this school year. Cultural celebrations are on the horizon, and we need your help. We’re planning events for the Middle East (Jan. 28), Asian Lunar New Year (Feb. 10), and African American History Month (Feb. 25)—and that’s just the beginning.

On Jan. 20, a group of families will go to Albany to educate state leaders on why charter schools deserve more funding as part of a Day of Action.
Thank you Illona Brobitsky and Elena Gorohovsky!
Also, we’ll be so excited to have not only siblings born in 2011 but also siblings born in 2012 become scholars in 2016 if SA-BH is approved for Pre-K. Just in case, be sure to fill out Pre-K applications with the City Jan. 25 - March 4.
Send pictures or calendar events anytime to contribute_sabh@yahoo.com
Lastly, we look forward to more issues of the newsletter. You and your scholar can contribute any time by sending pictures and stories to contribute_sabh@yahoo.com.
