MERCATO FRESH On February 13th 2020, Marc Romualdi and Jonathan Reaume opened the doors of their first Mercato Fresh location in Chatham, Ontario with a mission to create a unique, fresh, and enjoyable grocery shopping experience for their customers. Five weeks later, the pandemic began. In the face of this new challenge, Romualdi, Reaume and their staff rose to the occasion and continued to provide unparalleled quality, service and value without compromise. The community took notice and in July of 2021, the market was voted best 'Specialty Food Store' and 'Butcher/Meat Shop' in the Chatham Daily News' annual 'Reader's Choice Best of Chatham-Kent'.
