FOOD Inuit people eat a variety of foods.Most Inuits eat whales and seals.Inuit people have foods like us and some have different food.Similar foods include berries ,crabs and fish.Different foods include whale, seal and deer.Inuit cook their meals in fire.They make fire at home and put the food over it and then eat it.

ARTS AND CRAFTS Inuit people made alot of arts and crafts.They made stuff like dolls and stone carvings.They made soft dolls and also made clothes they could wear.Inuit carved pictures in whale bones and walrus tusks to tell mythical stories to their children at night.Inuit made alot of stone carvings.

Transportation For transportation In the winter Inuit used dog sleds. Dog sleds helped Inuit go where they needed to go. In the summer Inuit used kayaks yo go where they needed to go. Inuit didn’t use sleds in the summer because all the snow was gone and vice versa. Inuit made their kayaks by making a light framework out of driftwood and whalebone and then stretching it with animal fur and other materials.

Inuit live in northern Alaska.Inuit can also be found in parts of Greenland.Inuit also lived in Siberia.Inuit are most populated in northern canada.

In the winter Inuit made igloos for shelter.In the summer for shelter they make frames and stretch animal skin over it. In the summer their houses were tent-like.In the summer they couldnt live in igloos because there was no snow and it wasn’t cold enough.


Clothing In the winter the Inuit made fur jackets to keep them warm.In the summer when the weather was warm they made jackets made out of seal skin.The seal skin was warm but not too warm so it was perfect.


Interesting Facts There about 60,000 Inuit people living today.Eskimo is considered to be an offensive word to the Inuit.Eskimo means eaters of the raw meat.Inuit couldnt farm in harsh wintry weather so they mostly lived of hunting and fishing.In the summer the Inuit wore tunics out of bird skin.It was warm but not that much.
