Pueblo: southwest. •New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. Pueblo:
Pueblo: southwest. •They live close to the desert.
Pueblo: southwest. •They lived alongside the Navajo. The surroundings were mainly sandy. It was full of adobe clay. The terrain was full of cliffs and mountains.
Pueblo Indians Diet: They mostly ate corn, beans, squash, pumpkins, and thin cakes. They mostly ate corn and beans cause it was all year around. They rarely found meat. They made stew and dumplings. When they found meat they shared with everyone in the tribe.
Pueblo clothing Where the pueblos live it was hot so they didn’t wear heavy clothes. So they wore thing like cotton fiber which is thin cotton.
Pueblo clothing They also wore rabbit skins since rabbit are small and don’t have thick skin like deer skin.
Pueblo clothing Women wore robes where as men wore breechcloths which was a square piece of animal skin put and worn under a belt.
Pueblo clothing Pueblo people wore special clothing for ceremonies something like your best dress or ritual clothes. they also needed durable cloths for the desert climate which is another reason they wore animal skins.
Pueblo Transportation
When they first became a tribe and stated learning to live they didn’t have much so they only walked. And because they were in a desert they definitely couldn’t use boats.
Pueblo Transportation Later on they found horses from English and Spanish. As a mater of fact they owned the most horses in 1680. they didn’t travel a lot but they do travel. Because they didn’t always depend on animals other than clothing and some meals.
And when they did hunt for meat they usually didn’t go far. And their defense style when attacked is barricade themselves in their house. Even though they didn’t attacked a lot because they never invaded peoples land.
Interesting Facts Pueblo: In the Pueblo there are several tribes: Hopi, Taos, Jimez, Zuni, and Tigua. The word “Pueblo” comes from the Spanish word “Town.”
