Produced by the California Film Foundation. Fashion On Film is a unique blending of live fashion showcases and movies made about the local fashion scene. It bridges two distinct art disciplines and gives audiences a fascinating glimpse into the world of fashion in a unique party atmosphere. Hannah Be

An award winning stylist from Northern California and best known for her echofriendly, signature vintage styling. Hannah Be began her styling career as an ecommerce boutique operator. Only styling her mannequins, Hannah Be began to get recognition for her signature vintage looks through social media, and unique styling techniques. From there, Hannah Be went onto booking her own clients and styling them personally and professionally. Her collection has been dubbed as “Old Hollywood glam with a touch of funk and intensity.” Janelle’s ardor for fashion began as a little girl when she spent hours of playtime encouraging her sisters to play faux runway. Tyniece Hall

Tyniece Hall, Designer and CEO of Swagger House of Art & Fashion was born to pursue a life of high fashion and style. Hailing from Milwaukee WI, Tyniece Hall is now a Sacramento native by way of the East Bay area. Her introduction to the fashion industry began as a model in 2002, with an eye for fashion and style her creative flare eventually led her becoming an assistant and stylist of a local designer. In 2008, she launched an online retail business Swagger House of Art & Fashion. selling handbags, accessories and footwear. During that time was also featured as a Raw Artist, a showcase that highlights local artist, in which she received many different accolades. Since then, her successful brand has been reviewed in various showcases, magazines and competitions. ZenzeleNuru

Born Theresia L. Bagley, ZenzeleAmaiMjibaNuru was a name given to her, it is South

African in origin and means mother, young revolutionary woman, and lastly one who overcomes obstacles and makes a way for herself. That being said ZENZELE NURU truly encompasses the attributes of her name for she is a mother of nine, natural stylist, licensed cosmetologist, owner/lead stylist of Sankofa Duafe Design Studio/ Zen spot boutique as well as a knitwear designer. Zenzele has traveled and studied abroad in Tokyo Japan , learning traditional long hair design and eastern, holistic esthetics. Zenzele has worked in the natural hair industry for twenty-five years, and has been formally trained at Federico Beauty Institute. Education being very important. Zenzele is currently enrolled at Federico Beauty Institute Sacramento for continued education in their Barber Crossover Program;Her enthusiasm for all things creative has led her to her new passion for design . Each piece is created by hand and unique in design. He accomplishes this by finding vintage and unwanted apparel and re-cutting, un-cutting, distressing, and of course designing one-of-a-kind fashions, thereby bringing vintage pieces back to life in a whole new way. The ultimate goal and vision of Drugstore Cowboy is to keep growing organically. Organically growing in the sense that the brand will take on a life of its own as more like-minded woke people support it. Carlos Collins

Born in Georgia,Carlos graduated from Morris Brown College, Atlanta, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Art Degree in 2003. While studying at Morris Brown, he received many awards for his outstanding contributions. Afterwards, he began to pursue his Master of Architecture Degree at Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland. In 2008 he graduated and begun his career. “Art & Designing has always been his first love”. “My grandmother would give me newspapers at the age of 6 and I would sit in the middle of the floor and deconstruct the newspaper and make objects out of it. Lena Trotsko

Successfully competing in several of competitions and placing high titles Lena Trotsko has rightfully establish her name in the fashion community. The decision to compete in the young designer’s contest in Russia sponsored by DHL in 2012 but as well as winning was the win that launched her career. This title secured her a spot to showcase her full collection at the Mercedes- Benz fashion week in Russia. In just a year her brand name has become very well known in the Russia fashion industry. Lena Graduated with honors in fashion design from the Moscow State University of Design and Technology but in 2013 she decided to attend school once again and complete her masters in design. Her pieces can be seen from TV presenters, singers and other famous personalities in Russia but she now desires to accomplish the same in America. Lena is not limited to the creation of clothing. Her Line includes accessories, costumes for dance performances of Russian pop artists, costume work on the television series, as well as her passion for photography, decorative painting and graphics organically woven into her creative space.
