Background Design & Build are a record label based in East London who release experimental pop music with accompanying design that holds style over fashion. They are also a management company and work to develop interesting artists, expanding their networks and cultural community.

Brand The Brand was created by Notting Hill based studio, Two Times Elliot snd is based around the labels logo. Each record put out under the label contains their logo large across the front of the record, in the same place every time. Sometimes the logo is a stroke, other times it containst imagery in order to keep re-inventing the same brand to meet the bands and artists looks and needs.

Logo as Stoke You can see in these two seperate releases by two different bands how the brand can be applied consistantly whilst still giving off a different vibe for each artist. Here a stroked version of the logo is applied over imagery , in different colours to relate.

Logo as Window On these two other records, one a compilation by the label and the other a band, the logo is much more dominant and used as a window, with the imagery now bring inverted inside the logo and a pattern or colour on the outisde.

Type & Layout You will notice that the type and layout is consistantly the same for each record, again giving that “brand system� to the label.
