New Business Conversions

The conversion ofa quotation into a NewBusiness is one ofthe Call Centre’s main objectives. This goal is weighed bya set premium target (e.g.$1,000,000.00) and is representative ofthe company’s overall Gross Written Premium target.

To provide an acceptable quotation,it is necessaryto ascertain as much information from the proposer as possible. Quotations can be calculated manually, or system generated. System generated quotes are presently done in GIMS for all classes ofbusiness. Therefore,GIMS provides two methods ofquoting:

QuickQuotes:mostlydone for private motor on both Third Partyand Comprehensive coverages. GIMS Quotes mostlydone for Commercial motor quotations (also private quotes) on all classes and coverages.
