Think you don’t have time to take a course? Think again!

Adult Continuing Education Online With no set meeting times, you have flexibility, 24/7 access to course materials, and can choose the best time and place to complete your work. These online courses are project-based, with weekly deadlines, and activities which may include readings, video demonstrations and tutorials, online discussions, assignments, and critiques. ONLINE COURSE

Children and Art Instructor: Krissy Wilson This course melds both making and research around the topic of how childhood has been conceptualized historically, currently, and personally. We will examine how contemporary artists’ work is informed by experiences, issues, and pop culture references that are common to childhood. The media you choose to create your course project is up to you and can include: web art, animation, video, drawing and painting, sculpture, and writing. What specific skills or techniques will I learn and how can they be applied? You’ll practice critique across different genres of work and integrate peer feedback into your own work. You’ll write—personally and analytically—and you’ll conduct and share research with your peers. You will have the support of the course community as you ideate, draft, build, present, and iterate on a final project.
