"Good afternoon everyone and welcome back to the Premier Plus Stadium for today‘s United Counties League Premier Division South match. Today we extend a warm welcome to the players, officials and supporters of Racing Club Warwick Football Club and we hope you enjoy our hospitality this afternoon in what is your first ever visit“.

"I’d like to welcome everyone associated with Racing Club Warwick to the Premier Plus Stadium today. Warwick are a side who have a unique style of play and the fact they have only lost one game since September in the league would tell you why they are sitting second “ .
They are a side who play their home fixtures on 4G but they can mix their play up, which says why they also have a strong away record and are so tough to play against.
I wanted to start with a massive thank you to the supporters for last week against March Town, the support we got was amazing, and I think the boys repaid that with a good performance. March are a good side, but we managed to be organised and disciplined and deserved our win.
Last time out against Warwick I think we were unlucky after leading 1-0 at half time, the sin bin changed the game and we went on to lose 2-1. It’s all about small margins and you need them to go your way on the day, we know what to expect but knowing and dealing with it are two different things.
I’d like to welcome Connor Furlong to the clu someone I’ve been chasing for a while now. H without heaping too much pressure on him, and has fantastic quality and fits in with the have in terms of pace, directness and hard w

HUNTINGDONSHIRE PREMIER CUP ROUND TWO
St Neots 2 Biggleswade United 1
This was only the second meeting of these two sides and like their first match it was very closely contested with a single goal difference deciding the outcome. With three senior players still injured St Neots Manager Steve Kuhne opted to rest two more – himself and Scott Grant - and so it was time for the fringe players to prove themselves. Already through to the Hunts Senior Cup Final St Neots aim is a County Cup double and this victory earned them a home semifinal with Huntingdon Town so they will consider it a night’s work well done.
On a very wet pitch the sides had to first adapt to the conditions and after one early shot wide of target by Gary Walker the visitors began to confidently dominate proceedings. Leroy Odd outpaced the defence to shoot across the face of goal and Steve Young produced a smart save to deny Robbie O’Dell and with Biggleswade employing a three-man attack there was no shortage of goalmouth action. After 14 minutes the visitors forged ahead when Robbie O’Dell picked the ball up well inside his own half and accelerated forward to find Jack Weeden with a perfectly judged through ball and his pace took him clear to fire low past Young. St Neots had to make an early substitution with Jason Darvall making his first appearance since January coming on to replace James Hatch suffering a recurrence of his weekend injury. The visitors continued to look the batter side but after 32 minutes they conceded a free kick 25 yards from goal and Matt Endersby produced a peach of a shot to leave visiting keeper Darren Ayre grasping at air as he was beaten at his near post. That equaliser seemed to level up the contest and after 37 minutes debut striker Ben Smith had a fine header from a Mark Franklin corner cleared off the line but the effort would not have counted because the referee had spotted an infringement.
BLAST FROM THE PAST
Tuesday 8th March 2006
Both sides were more cautious after half time with the focus now on a midfield battle where Jon Hoggett and Andre Maltay looked really strong it began to look that St Neots had regained their confidence. Steve Young had to save from Martin Russell and Robbie O’Dell but the visitors’ efforts were now more long range and midway through the half St Neots withdrew Smith and introduced Steve Kuhne to the attack. Within two minutes they had taken the lead as Maltay made a strong unchallenged run from midfield before feeding Darvall wide on the right. His cross was early and with defenders caught out of position Gary Walker forced the ball home from close range to claim his sixth goal in five consecutive matches. Much of the remainder of the second half saw Biggleswade pushing forward in search of an equaliser but the St Neots defence superbly marshalled by Gary Watts now had the measure of the visiting attack and Young was seldom tested. They shook off the fatigue of their fourth match in nine days and held out fairly comfortably to earn their semi-final berth.
St Neots: Young, Clark, Endersby, Watts, Hurst, Hoggett, Hatch (Darvall 22 mins), Maltay, Smith (Kuhne 67 mins), Walker, Franklin
Subs not used: Grant.
Goals: Endersby (32 mins), Walker (69 mins).

RACING CLUB WARWICK
Year founded: 1919 Chairman: Gary Vella Club Website: www.rcwfc.co.uk
GOOD AFTERNOON AND WELCOME TO THE PREMIER PLUS STADIUM TO OUR VISITORS RACING CLUB WARWICK FOR THEIR FIRST EVER VISIT
This match marks the beginning of a vital eight weeks’ period where the hopes and aspirations of a number of clubs will be realised as a very competitive season draws to a close.
Our two clubs first met four months ago when an early goal from Jordan Brown was not sufficient for reward as the host side scored two second half goals to take full points. That victory took our visitors ahead of us in a very competitive league table and we have been chasing them ever since. It is the first season in the UCL for our visitors who transferred across the pyramid from the Midland Football League, and they must be very pleased with the first season in their new surroundings. Currently in second place in the table chasing league leaders Wellingborough Town they are undefeated in league competition since 2nd December when they were beaten at Aylestone Park. Last Saturday they had a day at the seaside travelling to Skegness for a League Cup quarter final tie but unfortunately lost by a single goal to nil.
Our visitors kicked off the season in their new surroundings with two wins and a draw and their consistency has seen them in the top five of the league table from day one. They have lost just four times in the league so far, home and away to Aylestone Park, and away at Cogenhoe and Wellingborough. In the FA Cup and FA Vase they were beaten in their first matches in each competition - away at Darlaston in the Cup, and at home by Pershore in the Vase.
Previous meeting of our teams:
28th October 2023 RC Warwick 2 St Neots Town 1
Enjoy the match.

Youth Team Match Report
Haverhill Borough (H) 08-01-2024
Thurlow Nunn Youth League West Division
ST NEOTS TOWN U183
HAVERHILL BOROUGH U18 1
St Neots returned to the top of the league table with this workmanlike if not impressive victory over visitors Haverhill Borough. They had to work hard for the points especially in the second half when the visitors staged a determined comeback after a rather pallid first half display. However, second placed Deeping Rangers with matches in hand are still firm title favourites.
There was a slow start with St Neots unable to capitalise on clear territorial superiority. It was 19 minutes before there was a serious shot on target and then visiting keeper Harry Humpage saved well from Caleb Wright. Just one minute later Frankie Webster spurned a glorious chance firing high over the bar but after 23 minutes St Neots went ahead as Caleb Wright scored his seventh goal of the campaign with a neat finish. The visitors’ first clear chance fell to Jeffrey Afriyie on the half hour, but he shot across the face of goal and then at the other end the lively Lucca Ugarte-Edwards fired over the bar. The first half ended with the best save of the match from Humpage to deny Wright a second goal after good work by Toby Pendrick.
The visitors started the second half in a more positive way and home keeper Alex Bent saved well from Kyle Markwell. However, after 54 minutes the lead was increased when Lucca Ugarte-Edwards burst into the area to be upended and from the resultant penalty award he added to St Neots lead. Undeterred the visitors persevered and nine minutes later won a penalty of their own when Danny Lively was fouled and it was he who netted from the spot. The same visiting player then went clear on goal but shot wide with only the keeper to beat. Visiting substitute Lennie Brindley squandered a great chance top level the scores and his side paid the penalty when defender Joel Jolly confirmed St Neots victory two minutes from time with a goal from a corner.

John Walker's Match Report
MARCH TOWN UNITED (H) 24-02-2024
UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION SOUTH
ST NEOTS TOWN 1 MARCH TOWN 0
Just a single point separated these two promotion hopefuls at the start of this match and after a tense competitive contest it was St Neots who persevered to take all three points. March was denied by the woodwork twice and by the save of the match by St Neots custodian James Goff so they will have gone home disappointed but St Neots’ double over their Fenland rivals could prove significant at the end of the season. After their disappointing midweek Hunts Senior Cup home defeat, Manager Cameron Mawer reshaped his side making five team changes and adopting a more positive approach. Rhys Thorpe and Jordan Brown returned in attack, Dean Dummett was restored in midfield, and fit again Nathan George was preferred to Ollie Brookes in defence. The fifth change saw a debut for new signing Connor Furlong who replaced the injured Harvey Williams, and he went on to earn the supporters’ player of the match award.
In a rather tense first 45 minutes there was great deal of possession football from both sides but there was little positive end product in the first half hour. From a set piece free kick Danny Emmington shot over for the visitors and James Goff saved well from Ben Seymour-Shove after neat work by Josh Burrows. Making an impressive start for his new club Connor Furlong twice took on the March defence to test the visiting keeper and then after 20 minutes James Hatch saw a shot rebound from a post. Former Saint Joe Rider had a quiet return to the ground but saw his best effort deflected for a corner. A Seymour-Shove volley three minutes before the break was pushed over the bar by the St Neots custodian and the half ended with a Hatch header from a Jordan Brown cross well saved by visiting keeper Jonah Gill.
John Walker's Match Report
MARCH TOWN UNITED (H) 24-02-2024
St Neots positive start after the break was rewarded after just two minutes when from a Brown cross, Dean Dummett ghosted in at the back post to open the scoring. Goff saved well at the feet of Greig Gillies, but St Neots were looking comfortable with their narrow advantage and the visitors’ response was to introduce three substitutes and adopt a more attacking approach. Jack Saunders thought he had found an equaliser, but his shot rebounded from the woodwork, and then lively substitute Callum Carolan twice shot wide after working his way into good positions. With seven minutes remaining the March late offensive almost paid off but Carolan’s best finish was pushed onto as post by the St Neots keeper to preserve his sides’ narrow victory. The result cemented St Neots position in the table in fourth place just two points behind Racing Club Warwick who are the next visitors to the Premier Plus Stadium on Saturday, but now four points ahead of March.

RACING CLUB WARWICK
Racing Club
Warwick Football Club is a football club based in Warwick, Warwickshire, and competes in the United Counties League Premier Division South.
They were formed in 1919 under the name of Saltisford Rovers and played in various local leagues including the Warwick League, Leamington & District League and the Warwickshire Combination until 1967. During this period the club won a number of honours, including the Birmingham Alliance Senior Cup when they defeated Birmingham City in the final at St. Andrews. In 1967 the club joined the West Midlands (Regional) League.
Three years later they changed to their current name (which came from the fact that their ground is by Warwick Racecourse) and soon afterwards switched to the Midland Football Combination, where they were champions in 1988 and runners-up in 1989. After the latter honour they gained promotion to the Southern League where they remained until 2003 when they finished bottom of the Western Division and dropped into the Midland Football Alliance. They remained in the Midland Football Alliance until the end of the 2008–09 season, when they were relegated to the Midland Football Combination Premier Division, now the Midland Football League Division One.
At the start of the 2016–17 season the club began huge infrastructure renovations following the arrival of local businessman Chairman Gary Vella and the new committee members the previous year, including new changing rooms, floodlighting, stands and artificial training area. The club's record win is 15–0 recorded on 26 December 2016. They gained their first promotion for 30 years in 2018-19 as runners-up in the Midland Football League Division One.
The club installed a 3g pitch in the winter of 2020 in order to expand their community activity and provide a broad spectrum of football to include women's and disability amongst other community groups. The West Midlands Ambulance Service will play their home fixtures at the ground.
