B.A: Every movie or role to me is challenging because all of them come with peculiar way it should be played so am not seen as the same person in every movie, so to brings diversity, that makes it challenging but in recent times I’ll say my most challenging was “Cast Away” which was 70% ewe language spoken which was
though am ewe(not proud that I can’t speak tho lol). the language and acting as a poor and semi illiterate mother. Had to concentrate
on speaking the language and am glad it came so well, one of saying words right, how I say it my favourite movies. and when I spoke English I had to change my tonation. These things made it challenging but

TINA ONALAPO
IMANE AYISSI LUXURY FASHION COUTURE My name is Tina Onalapo, I am the general correspondent of Cleopatra Magazine. London. This is my interview with Imane Ayissi of Luxury Fashion Couture based in Paris, France.
Fashion Couture as garments perfectly produced, with a soul. Couture is the highest level of luxury fashion, it allows exquisite craftsmanship, collaboration
with highly skilled artisans, and since the garments are produced on order and made the customers.
I.A: My clients are very very diverse. They come from all backgrounds. But I would say they all have in common to be active, very curious and openminded, with a real interest for the stories of my garments (inspiration, textiles‌etc).
I.A: It is hard to say, I have been interested in Fashion since I was a child, but for a long time, how to concretely work in fashion was not really clear. I started to think more seriously of a career in fashion when I started to work as a model in France, and discovered the ÂŤ
backstage Âť of the luxury brands I worked with. Especially I also work me to discover how a studio works, and that a garment is a question of millimeters.
I.A: It is true that Paris is the perfect environment for fashion lovers, because fashion is really a part of the culture of this city, and every street is very inspirational, but on the other hand the competition is huge, because of all this powerful h e r i t a g e brands, but also because there are all-thetime-new designers
with new ideas‌ But I would say that I don’t really care about other brands work, even if I try to stay connected with them
now. Actually I try to do what I have to do in my own way, it means to highlight African cultures and textile heritage in a contemporary way.
I.A: I must say I was not really conscious of the issues I would face and how hard it is to manage a brand in the contemporary fashion industry, not really scared by anything in particular. Maybe, being more aware would have prevented me from starting my brand.
I.A: I’m not the best person to describe it, I am not objective enough, I would say it is a mixture of African cultures and heritage with a Parisian « allure « . And I try to keep a kind of simplicity even with very decorated and intricate fabrics.
