Twice a week students will have a 35-minute flex period built into their daily schedule to allow for more individualized learning, peer-to-peer collaboration and social activities. Faculty is avail able Monday - Thursday after school for tutoring or during a Flex period.

Salesian College Preparatory curriculum offers a balance between college preparatory courses, religious education, enrichment opportunities, and service learning. Our new block schedule prioritizes time for project-based learning to foster collaboration and flexibility for co-curricular activities to encourage exploration. Salesian’s dedicated faculty is committed to each student’s academic success.

The 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio allows teachers to truly mentor students and engage with them in one-to-one discussions. These learned relational life skills are essential in the 21st century world that our students navigate and will continue to aid them as they experience global opportunities and challenges beyond Salesian.

Discover Your Talent

The Visual and Performing Arts build confidence, improve concentration, increase reading comprehension, strengthen communication, and hone math and science skills. Salesian offers rich avenues for the development of critical thinking and social action in young leaders. We value the arts and artistic expression as vital components to one’s development. Students use art to express themselves, flourish, and brighten the world with their creativity. Through artistic expression, students gain the courage and confidence to make the world around them a more just, equal, and loving place in which all belong.

Student Leadership and Ministry (SLAM)

In order to instill in our students the importance of volunteerism and investing in one’s community and giving back, each of our students must fulfill their personal service commitments throughout the academic year. Students participate in four Service Projects annually, benefiting local and global communities.

SLAM is the collective form of student leadership and ministry. The mission of SLAM is to create a culture for good, a lever to serve the greater school community. By working together, SLAM members encourage spirit and cohesiveness throughout the entire school.

Each student participates in a Faith Family, comprising students from 9-12th grades, who meet regularly throughout the year, culminating in Salesian’s annual Service Day. Retreats

Meet Evin Senior I feel like part of the reason why I thrive is because of the welcoming environment and that I can be myself.

Junior year, due to the changing landscape of college applications and the fact that the vast ma jority of universities across the country no longer require students to submit SAT or ACT scores, Salesian has expanded and bolstered its college essay writing workshops to include an increased number of indi vidual one-on-one editing, writing, and mentoring sessions throughout the college application process.

College Guidance in a Changing World

Known for its outstanding athletics program, Salesian has a dedicated college scholarship spe cialist available to assist student-athletes who wish to continue to compete at the Division I collegiate level or pursue scholarship opportunities with Division II and Division III colleges and universities.

Students at Salesian College Preparatory are counseled to enroll in appropriate courses required for college admission beginning Freshman year. As Sophomores, students complete a career search based on their own interests and skills and then meet one-on-one with our college counselors to discuss which major would best fit their career goals. As Juniors, students meet one-on-one with our college counselors to create a list of schools that match their academic interests and co-curricular pursuits to ensure their best opportunity for acceptance and continued academic success in college. Salesian also hosts college representatives and encourages visits to college campuses to help students formulate the list of colleges that they plan to apply to in the fall of their Senior year.

For students who desire it, college guidance does not stop after graduation. Our Beyond Salesian Program provides a one-on-one mentor and one-on-one near peer to guide our graduates through the first few years of their college experience to provide advice and support for selecting courses, finding advisors to work with, securing housing, managing financial aid grants, etc.
