Space blows my mind! For a start, there are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on all the beaches in all the world! By the way, did you know that the light from those stars is millions, maybe even billions, of years old? And space is getting bigger all the time! Something else that blows my mind is that God, who created all those stars, also created me. Not only did God create me, but he loves me and wants the best for me. And God’s love doesn’t end with me, he loves you too. Just as the light from the stars we see started its journey before you were even born, so did God’s love for you. Way before your life began, God had imagined you, loved you, cared for you and come up with the very best plans for you. Now that’s mind blowing!

READ THE COMMENT BELOW ABOUT SEEING GOD’S CREATION IN EVERYDAY THINGS
Creation’s All Around You!
I
f you want to see God’s creation, where do you go? Maybe you head into the countryside, climb a hill, walk by a stream, visit the seaside, walk in the woods… Have you ever thought about staying right where you are and looking around you? I once heard someone talk about their walk to work and how all they saw were buildings and roads. They said, ‘It’s hard to see God’s creation when you’re surrounded by concrete.’ I felt sad for them because I walked the same route to the office and I viewed things differently. I saw people going to work, families on the school run, trees, grass, parks and playgrounds, sky filled with brightness on sunny days and clouds on rainy days. All those things
says Justin Reeves
are part of God’s creation and they’re good! When we encourage our readers to think about God’s creation, we often talk about the wonders of nature. But I’m aware that not all our readers live near fields, mountains, valleys, rivers, streams, the sea and open skies. And they’re not easy for some of you to get to either. God’s creation is all around you – you can see it in the people you live with and go to school with. When you feel the sun on your face, the wind in your hair or the pitter patter of rain – that’s creation. When you look up at the sky and let your mind wander (or should that be wonder?) that’s creation and it’s good!
Wonder-Fill Space
Look around you for examples of God’s creation and fill this space with words or pictures that describe what you see. You could also use this space to write or draw a prayer thanking God for his wonderful gift of creation.

o you have an interesting hobby that you’re extremely passionate about? Have you ever wanted to be on TV? If so, there’s a cool opportunity that we want to share with you! Channel 5’s Milkshake! started a show last year called Meet the Experts. The programme is a celebration of children’s knowledge and expertise. The show will return later this year with a brandnew series – and they’re looking for expert children to take part! If you have something you’re really passionate about, such as an interesting hobby, playing a musical instrument or a sport, then you can get involved! Meet the Experts wants to hear from entertaining and outgoing children aged eight years and under from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. Each programme is 11 minutes long and the child featured in each episode will be at the forefront of the show, therefore they’re looking for children who are not afraid to talk and share their passion on camera! For more information, ask your parents or carers to email MTE@boomcymru.co.uk or call 07436 097767. Due to the high volume of responses, they may not be able to respond to everyone. You can watch series one of ‘Meet the Experts’ at channel5.com/show/meet-the-experts

k e e W s s e n e r a w A h lt Mental Hea Loneliness Have you ever felt lonely? Perhaps you felt like you had no one to play with or that you didn’t have any friends at school. Loneliness really means that someone doesn’t have the meaningful relationships that they would like and need. Feeling lonely is often connected to being alone but it doesn’t always mean that. Some people enjoy spending time alone, while others may feel lonely even if they are with people – for example, if they feel like they don’t fit in with the group.
It may have been harder for you to spend time with others during the last couple of years if you haven’t been able to go to your school or clubs as often. Loneliness is not a nice feeling and it can make you feel really upset. As well as affecting your mental health and the way you feel, it can also affect your physical health! People were made to spend time with other people, so it’s important to think about whether you, or people you know, feel lonely and what you can do about it.
Mental Health Awareness Week That’s why the Mental Health Foundation has decided to make loneliness the theme of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week. It’s an event that happens every year as an opportunity for people across the country to focus on achieving good mental health. Mental health includes our thoughts, feelings, moods and behaviour. Mental health is not fixed throughout our lives. Just like physical health it can change depending on different experiences and situations, and it can get better. Although loneliness is not a mental health problem, it is an experience that can affect mental health.

Groovy in Green! The green ribbon is the international symbol of mental health awareness, so you can get involved and show your support by wearing a green ribbon badge. You can also take part in a ‘Wear It Green Day’ and see how much green you can wear!
Top Tips for When You Feel Lonely If you do feel lonely there are lots of things you can do to try to help.
Find people with similar interests Try spending time with people you trust, or make friends with people who enjoy doing the same things as you. Joining a club could be a fun and easy way to meet new friends.
Explore ways to express your thoughts and feelings Find out what works best for you. It could be making notes in a journal, keeping a diary, drawing or listening to music.
Be kind to yourself
Do things you enjoy Doing things you enjoy can make you feel confident and happy.
When you feel lonely you might also have other feelings such as shame or sadness. Remember, those feelings are part of being human and just because you feel a certain way now doesn’t mean you will always feel this way.
Talk to someone Connect with nature Showing gratitude for the things around you can help you to feel less lonely.
It can take courage to open up. There is lots of help out there, including family, good friends, teachers or people at church. You can also contact the helplines below if you need to talk to someone and don’t know where to turn.
Childline You can contact Childline about anything. Call for free on 0800 1111. Shout 85258 – Shout offers support 24/7 from trained volunteers who won’t know who you are. Text ‘SHOUT’ to 85258.
